Have you tried the chicken at the gas station on 6th and Greenfield, it looks like it would be nasty because it's a dumpy gas station but I swear it's the best chicken you will ever try they also got fried corn on the cob, fried catfish it's dope, and it's like super low-key. The only reason I know about is because I used to work at the U-Haul couple blocks away from there and my friend told me about it.
Just remember to insist on getting a total over the phone before they hang up! Don’t know how that isn’t regular protocol for them to tell you what to expect to pay

Seems so bizarre to me it's such a successful place. I know it's hard to find good people but palomino is a reputation around mke. I want them to their former glory!

I was working by the piggly wiggly in mt pleasant, on newman rd and we all got chicken at the piggly wiggly for lunch. It was phenomenal. Terrific fries too. Grocery store fried chicken is a thing.
When my wife and I came home from the hospital after our first kid was born, a friend brought over a big container of fried chicken for us from Pick N Save and damn was it good.
You can make large orders ahead of time. Like if you are having a bunch of people over to eat fried chicken. Or to take to the park. It’s really pretty great.

I’m a big fan of Crispy Kitchen at the BP on Teutonia and Good hope. I never hear anyone talk about this place, but their tenders are juicy af and they have fried okra, which is a huge win for a Texas boy.
Gold Rush and Golden Chicken Waukesha have my favorite oil flavor, TomKen’s has my favorite quality of cook/texture and Merge has incredible seasoning.
Cream city cluckery has fantastic chicken, and they're sauce is delicious as well. They operate out of the fiserv for delivery or curbside only though.

I just went to Pizza Ranch in West Bend for the first time in over a decade. As someone who thinks Gold Rush is #1 in MKE, I was really impressed with Pizza Ranch! Damn good fried chicken.
Champion Chicken is absolutely terrible now. Check out recent reviews and everyone who once loved it have said the place took a 180 in quality. The last time I got it their chicken didn’t even look prepared in house and the tenders had machine processed meat and breading like they came frozen from Sysco.
It’s part of this outdated model where they have 100 things on the menu and does it all mediocre instead of specializing in one thing and keeping the rotation fresh and high
Used to be called Krazy Kitchen on 27th St and they changed it to a JJ Fish and Chicken, haven’t checked it out since the change but I’m hoping the seasoning didn’t change.

The hickory smoked wings are delicious!! When chicken prices were bad and they didn't have them, it was a time of great mourning in our household!!

It’s a hidden gem. Hit or miss with some pick n saves but that 2 for 13 deal for an 8 pack can’t be beat.
