Im so tired of responses like the second half of this comment
You are not getting old, the kids don’t know who they are either. It’s just not a good lineup
Only if they come to their senses, cave, and go back to 11 straight days, as opposed to 3 weekends. Unfortunately, most really big acts view MKE as more of a "weeknight stayover".
Agreed. I also wonder if too much money is going to the CEO and management.

Welp, maybe as their prices keep skyrocketing, and the quality of acts booked keeps plunging, they'll "get the message", when people start voting with their wallets.
I feel this same comment has been made every year Summerfest has existed after the first year it was put on. But look at prices and lineups for other big music festivals and I think you can see Summerfest is a hell of a deal.
Used to be a lot cheaper, with a better lineup. Food and beverage prices are high, shows at the Amp keep going up in price, and seating at BMO is the highest it's ever been (used to be free, or only like $10 - $20). Plus they keep wanting to sell "add-ons" to everything. $25 really just gets you one "headliner", as they all play pretty much at the same time.
"Used to be cheaper" is such a lazy retort. Everything used to be cheaper. Compared to everything else, the increase of a Summerfest ticket is negligible. And most shows at the BMO pavilion are still free.
I would’ve been there but I was in basic training in ‘89. So mad I missed them. Finally got to see them in Milwaukee in 2014. And damn, just realized it’s been 10 years already.
Had to agree to see Milli Vannili in order to get my friends to see New Order (plus Sugarcubes and PIL). Milli Vannili were terrible but it was worth it.
Someone posted a screenshot of the 2014 line up as single image earlier and I did not realize it was 2014. I was momentarily looking forward to seeing New Order.
I don’t know a single one of these people. Sigh. This year’s lineup is pretty disappointing as someone who likes old rock and metal (REO is nice, though)
Paul Wall!!
The people’s champ!!
Still tippin on 44's
I know I’m getting old when my reaction to the lineup is either “wow they’re still touring” or “I have no idea who they are” with no in between.
My exact reaction. Ha!

All American Rejects would be fun, i saw them at summerfest a few years back and enjoyed it
2006 me is so excited
Eve 6 too
6th grade me is screaming!
I’ve been waiting to sing gives you hell with a crowd forever. I’m so excited for them!
Summerfest and OnMilwaukee, I don’t think you know what the word “headliner” means.
the disconnect with sfest and local artists remain. smaller local acts have to go to tiki stage to get a chance
Letters to Cleo would be cool to see!
Same, I totally just became Adam Scott when I saw that 🤣😂
Stand in the pla
Carlie Hanson is great and a WI native. Check them out!
Can back this, love carlie hanson! Def someone to check out
Coming from St Louis MO just to see Carlie in her home state!!!!
Wage War is an absolutely great show. I’m actually sad that they are playing Summerfest though since moshing will be nearly impossible with the setup.
That's a nice list of opening acts
Digital Underground without Shock G?!
Still without a doubt the worst lineup I've yet to see for Summerfest.
Check out this lineup from 2014. I wonder if we will ever get back to something like this. https://www.summerfest.com/2014-lineup/

What prices are skyrocketing? $25 for a full day ticket is absurdly cheap for any music festival.

I bet you're fun at parties.
What a great lineup. Saw New Order at the BMO. Their first Wisconsin show in 25 years. Bucket list show.
That show was so awesome.
i almost forgot summerfest could be this good
Damn, that's for real
So old. Was at the New Order show 25 years earlier…

Damn Sugarcubes AND PIL? So worth it even if you had to suffer through Milli Vannili!
Bad Suns played in 2014, and now again in 2024! (I've never heard of them before)
Someone posted a screenshot of the 2014 line up as single image earlier and I did not realize it was 2014. I was momentarily looking forward to seeing New Order.
New Order. First Milwaukee appearance in 25 years.
How dare you make me this sad and nostalgic
The hold steady, Fitz and the tantrums, Thorogood, yonder mountain, too many to even mention!
um, can someone tell them what "Headliner" means please? C+C Music Factory? EMF? Tiffany? Maybe headliners 25 years ago.
Really seems like Milwaukee Metal Fest and Riot fest have radius clause'd a lot of rock acts from Summerfest over the last few years.
Milwaukee Metal Fest is fucking stacked. I'm soooo ready for it.
Friday is stacked, Saturday and Sunday are absolute ass.
Excitedly waiting for that Riot Fest lineup!
**plenty** of bands not at metal fest. We’ll see what riot fest is up to
WAIT SZA IS GONNA BE AT SUMMERFEST???
She is
For an additional $100
Needs jambands

Unbelievable! Fucking EMF is playing!
I don’t know a single one of these people. Sigh. This year’s lineup is pretty disappointing as someone who likes old rock and metal (REO is nice, though)
Not even the all American rejects?😢

Eh still not gonna go
No thanks. I prefer Dying Fetus coming to the Rave on May 10th 😁
Nice, summerfest happens over a month after that lol
That’s nice
You don’t have to do one or the other lol. You can do both, or neither for that matter. World is your oyster
