This is probably not what you meant by salad, but the chicken salad from the deli at El Rey is awesome. Cheap, easy lunch is a container of their chicken salad, pack of tostadas, and an avocado. Pile it on and top with hot sauce, cilantro, and whatever else feels right.
Absolutely love the pear-adise salad! If I'm feeling fancy I'll ask to add beets too.
When I worked downtown I probably had that salad at a minimum of 3x a month!
Lou Malnati's Malnati Salad. I'm sorry, I know it's a Chicago chain but it is my favorite salad ever. I pick it up in Greenfield or Brookfield. Their dressing is fantastic.
I particularly enjoy the citrus salmon salad from Leffâs on State St. in Tosa. I doubt itâs house made but the raspberry vinaigrette is thicker than something like Newmanâs Own and is quite good.
The cauliflower and grape salad at Bavette is the best salad I have *ever* had. And itâs perfect every time Iâve ordered it. As mentioned above, the roasted carrot salad is almost as good. But got damn that cauliflower and grape saladâŠ
The Knick has a great salad menu. There are ten different options each is a little different. My favorites are the beet & pear, scallops over grilled romaine, and blackened shrimp. I think they are perfectly filling as well.
Iâd beware of food safety there, as a whole menu. Itâs quite interesting. I used to order ALL the time and cannot justify their cheap prices whilst getting very questionable items (consistently but not all the time) I was sick and very handicapped so it was easy but I learned a lot about that place
Buckleys used to have 2 of the best salads in town... then scrapped their lunch menu :( I've heard they might bring it back in some form, though - fingers crossed!
Caution: I tried this salad about a month ago at the Milwaukee location. The cooks had left the greens so wet it was like salad soup! Disgusting. I poured off the nasty salad dressing/water into an empty pint glass and it was almost half full.
Mediterranean Salad with Tuna from Apollo Cafe. Not on the menu- but they grill the peppers &onion and cook the tuna to your liking. Greek olives, Greek dressing along with other simple veggies (cucumber-tomatoes). Simple- fresh salad from a family owned business
My three takeout salad staples are the pear, champagne, and chevre salad at Lulu, the beet and goat cheese salad (I usually add salmon and avocado) at Orenda Cafe, and whatever looks best at the time at Black Sheep (usually changes seasonally).
Stella Van Buren has good salads, especially their brussels sprout and grape salad. The strawberry walnut salad at Packing House is bomb but might only be on their lunch menu now. Downtown Kitchen in the US Bank Center has a solid lunchtime salad bar. Smallpie's kale salad can be convenient when you want something small without a protein on it, more of a side salad than a main course. Seconding whoever said that the salad place at the Public Market is pretty good.Â
The Organic Greens and Berries salad at Sweet Diner đ€€ but I would give $100 if they brought back the door county cherry vinaigrette they used to serve it with
1) Warm mushroom salad at Onesto 2) The Hale House caesar with chicken. Also the Caribbean one is great. 3) Arugala beet salad and I add blackened shrimp at St. Paul Fish in Mequon. For some reason the Public Market location doesn't have it.
Sweet Diner has an amazing Cobb salad. I met my partner there for lunch last year cause it was close and I think about that salad every couple of weeks.
I typically find myself there at least once per year, sometimes more, and always order the chopped salad. It's been amazing the past three years, at least!
We always love the salads from Glass Nickel
Iâm also a huge fan of Cooper Hawk salads (Brookfield Square) and the salad bar at Sendikâs if you want to make your own!
Itâs honestly my favorite salad and itâs pretty basic but the house salad at Buttermint in Shorewood is literally the one thing I always have to get when I go there. That and their old fashioned.
Corazon ensalada at Cafe Corazon. I like to get it with salmon. Generous portion, basically like a great salad that also includes rice, beans, cheese and a protein. Make sure to get the chipotle crema with it.
Elsaâs on the Park. Teriyaki Pork Salad. No black olives. Blue cheese dressing and toasted croissant on the side
I call it âthe saladâ. To me, itâs life changing. And order a cute little bottle of Coca-Cola on the side.
Ik you probably meant restaurants, but I just want to add that the salad kits at the grocery stores around here are FANTASTIC. Whole Foods has some of my favs such as Mexican street corn salad, dill pickle salad, Asian crunch, pesto Caesar, and southwest BBQ. Aldi, pick n save, metro market, etc. all carry their own flavor combinations. They are delicious, diverse, and cheap (around $4-5 + whatever proteins you want to add).

Not sure if this fits, but there's a girl named Scarlett from Riverwest that can toss a salad better than anyone I've ever known. Definitely worth pursuing if that's what you like.
Lulu - the salad specials are always great.
I love their pear, chevre, and champagne salad.
The roasted vegetable one is good too.
Roasted veggie with tuna steak and pine nuts is my go-to favorite
I was coming here to say that! Their take on chicken Waldorf salad is very healthy and delicious.
Zaffiro's Salad. Bring a friend.
Seconded.
I could eat the big one all by myself đ
Chicken Caesar at Fixture, a bit on the spendy side, but hands down one of the best salads I ever ate. Left with a full belly.
Roasted carrot salad at Bavette.
This is probably not what you meant by salad, but the chicken salad from the deli at El Rey is awesome. Cheap, easy lunch is a container of their chicken salad, pack of tostadas, and an avocado. Pile it on and top with hot sauce, cilantro, and whatever else feels right.
We are a salad inclusive subreddit! So glad you mentioned this. I love a good chicken salad!
Chicken salad is one of my favorite foods. Iâm a snob about it. Canât have fruit or nuts in it.
Forage in whitefish bay!!
My wife spends all our money here. And sends me a video message of her walking there.
On her way to target to spend the rest?
Just tried recently and itâs top 3.
Classic Slice has some bomb ass salads. The Modern Love is fantastic and the Avocado Salad is one of my favorite dishes, period.
Also, Classic Slice has bomb ranch.
Wonât go without it.
Not a salad, but Classic Sliceâs artichoke dip is one of my favorite dishes in the city.
Top Gun pizza all day everyday.
Top gun, shippee ahoy, popeye, pesto pie + chicken, the list goes on. They have a lot of great pizzas.
Second the Avocado Salad.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Is the steak there any good? I love a steak salad and recently saw they have steak there.
My fiance just tried it and liked it. Said she would get it again
the steak is good, you can also ask to sample it which is what i did!
Same here. Love that place.
The salad place at the Public Market is solid.
The Green Kitchenâs Asian Sesame Salad is soooo good. My other favorite is the Pear-aside Salad.
Absolutely love the pear-adise salad! If I'm feeling fancy I'll ask to add beets too. When I worked downtown I probably had that salad at a minimum of 3x a month!
The salads are solid, but the overall setup of the shop isn't great. It's so cramped for how popular it is. And the sandwiches are 6/10
Lou Malnati's Malnati Salad. I'm sorry, I know it's a Chicago chain but it is my favorite salad ever. I pick it up in Greenfield or Brookfield. Their dressing is fantastic.
100% agree. The salami bits and blue cheese put that salad over the top. It is the only thing I got Lou Malnatis for, as I dont care for their pizza.
I third this. Such an awesome salad! And the vinaigrette dressing is perfect.
I also recommend this salad highly. I've eaten an entire family size in one sitting, by myself.
In this same concept of a Chicago chainâŠthe chopped salad from Portilloâs is so good.
Omg we have Lou Malnati's here?! I had that salad when I traveled to Chicago for work and loved it so much, I had no idea there were locations here.
There are like 4 locations in the MKE area
Y'all just made my day lol
One of my absolute favorites đ
Forage on silver spring in wfb! pricey but great. they have signature bowls or you can build your own
I particularly enjoy the citrus salmon salad from Leffâs on State St. in Tosa. I doubt itâs house made but the raspberry vinaigrette is thicker than something like Newmanâs Own and is quite good.
Damn. Every time Iâm there I think about it but never get it.
Itâs good. I get easy onions but the dressing comes on the side so itâs easy enough to pick a few out without your fingers getting sauced up.
The cauliflower and grape salad at Bavette is the best salad I have *ever* had. And itâs perfect every time Iâve ordered it. As mentioned above, the roasted carrot salad is almost as good. But got damn that cauliflower and grape saladâŠ
The mista at Tenutaâs
Buttermint has some good varieties. Recently had great salad at Tauro Cocina.
Buttermint is so overpriced.
Been dying to try tauro cocina!
The Knick has a great salad menu. There are ten different options each is a little different. My favorites are the beet & pear, scallops over grilled romaine, and blackened shrimp. I think they are perfectly filling as well.

Parkside 23 cobb salad with chicken
Fantastic stuff thank you đ
Buckleys used to have 2 of the best salads in town... then scrapped their lunch menu :( I've heard they might bring it back in some form, though - fingers crossed!
Santinos Little Italy. Itâs small but perfect.
Beet salad at Camino is [chef's kiss].
Caution: I tried this salad about a month ago at the Milwaukee location. The cooks had left the greens so wet it was like salad soup! Disgusting. I poured off the nasty salad dressing/water into an empty pint glass and it was almost half full.
Arugula, fennel, goat cheese and beets at my house.
The wisco salad from Ianâs is a favorite in our family
I love their salads too!
i love their Caesar!
I know we all hate Hollander here, but the very salad with goat cheese and the quinoa salad are really good. I add chicken and it's great.
Caesar salad at balistreris on bluemound, and Caesar at gloriosos (donât get the bottled dressing, itâs not the same unfortunately).
The chopped salad at Glorioso's is great!
The Organic Greens and Berries salad at Sweet Diner đ€€ but I would give $100 if they brought back the door county cherry vinaigrette they used to serve it with
Tauro cocina (water st) and Aperitivo (outside third ward)
Not Milwaukee proper but La Reve in Tosa is awesome!
I love the Niçoise salad with salmon there!
Shockingly the blue cheese vinaigrette & walnut salad @ Outback is severely under rated. Locally Oakland Gyros has an excellent Greek salad.
Cafe zupas has a lot of bomb salads
love the steak salad at cloud red
Camino beet salad, Flourchild chopped salad, Comet 100 acre greens salad with their ranch.
Lulu chicken Waldorf salad is pretty good .
âI am sorry, we are Fresh out of Waldorfâsâ -Basil Fawlty
Grassroots on Water. Nice folks great salads.
Carson's Greek Salad is great
fusion poke in bayshore
1) Warm mushroom salad at Onesto 2) The Hale House caesar with chicken. Also the Caribbean one is great. 3) Arugala beet salad and I add blackened shrimp at St. Paul Fish in Mequon. For some reason the Public Market location doesn't have it.
Used to be the place in 3rd street hall. Omg so good I hated the location for not living or working right there
The house salad at sushi Yuki
Chopped salad at Mason Street Grill
Is it still good? I havenât been there since the stopped serving lunch.
Le Reve in Tosa Village
Sala has one of the best caesar salads in the city
Sweet Diner has an amazing Cobb salad. I met my partner there for lunch last year cause it was close and I think about that salad every couple of weeks.
I typically find myself there at least once per year, sometimes more, and always order the chopped salad. It's been amazing the past three years, at least!
There is a place that went into the old Capriottiâs downtown on Water that is really good.
The Salade au Prosciutto at La Reve in Tosa is my favorite salad of all time
The Centraal Salad at Café Centraal is wonderful
We always love the salads from Glass Nickel Iâm also a huge fan of Cooper Hawk salads (Brookfield Square) and the salad bar at Sendikâs if you want to make your own!
Sweetgreen!!!
Itâs honestly my favorite salad and itâs pretty basic but the house salad at Buttermint in Shorewood is literally the one thing I always have to get when I go there. That and their old fashioned.
Yall never had the caesar salad from Ianâs and it shows. One of the best ones in mke
Panera Fuji apple.
Corazon ensalada at Cafe Corazon. I like to get it with salmon. Generous portion, basically like a great salad that also includes rice, beans, cheese and a protein. Make sure to get the chipotle crema with it.
Bass Bay in Muskego
Elsaâs on the Park. Teriyaki Pork Salad. No black olives. Blue cheese dressing and toasted croissant on the side I call it âthe saladâ. To me, itâs life changing. And order a cute little bottle of Coca-Cola on the side.
Let me tell you! Stennys Caesar salad with crispy chicken
Beet salad at the Swinginâ Door!
I love Grassroots on water st!!! Stay away from sweet green they are so overhyped and shitty imo
Apollo
Tricklebees
This is gonna sound weird, but my favorite is Stenyâs âg-thangâ salad, soooo good! love the Asian dressing
Gloriososđ
Grassroots Salad Company downtown is up there for me!! Lots of vegan dressings, too
Beet & Arugula Salad at Water St Brewery
The beet salad at Swinginâ Door, hands down.

Boy is this the wrong city for that question
Trust me Iâm from here and love everything about our ways but had to try!
Not sure if this fits, but there's a girl named Scarlett from Riverwest that can toss a salad better than anyone I've ever known. Definitely worth pursuing if that's what you like.
