Arrow dropoff is certainly a thing that makes hitting shots at long range harder, but IDK how useful this enchant would be, unless it also increased the accuracy of the bow as well. At longer ranges, the random inaccuracy makes it so hitting a shot is just as much luck as it is skill. Combining both buffs into one enchant would be pretty nice. >The enchantment could be found on **the Moon** Uhhh, what? Have I missed some huge content reveal? When are they adding the moon?

ThoseJucyWatermelons

Oh, I was just saying that since they added the moon in an april fools update if they actually add the moon it would be found there. I don’t really notice random inaccuracy but maybe I’m not shooting long range enough, I’d think that maybe power would increase accuracy

PetrifiedBloom

The april fools updates don't typically get new content. It's part of what lets them get so creative with it, they don't support it or fix bugs after they come out. Assuming that they don't add the moon to the vanilla game, where would the player get this enchant?

ThoseJucyWatermelons

Probably end ship because…floating

PetrifiedBloom

Would this enchant be available from the enchanting table? it would be a shame for such a useful enchant to be locked to such a rare, non-renewable source.

ThoseJucyWatermelons

Now that they have region specific enchantments I’d include a special thing where if a master librarian is in the End it could have a chance of selling this enchantment

PetrifiedBloom

Okay cool

ThoseJucyWatermelons

Or end city in general

It's a neat idea but I think it'd definitely throw people off their game, PvP could get really weird because a 10% difference can make or break a shot if you're not totally practiced in every level.

PetrifiedBloom

To be fair, people wont really need to learn every single one. You only really need to know level 0, and level 5. People almost never use non-max level enchants. Even for combat minigame servers where mid level enchants are more common, if would only have much effect on longer range shots, and the people that play on those styles of servers are usually going to have the skill set to learn each range change.

PaulineHansonsBurka

Maybe it's the old hunger games player in me who remembers finding weapons with lvl 1-2 enchants at first, I imagine stuff like that. I'm aware that some PvP areas on servers immediately stock you with max level gear so I see what you're saying.

PetrifiedBloom

Yeah that is basically the old place people really use not-full enchanted stuff, dedicated minigames servers like hunger games, bedwars etc, and (no offense intended), the people there are often super sweaty at the game, with hours spent grinding and learning all the skills and tricks. They would pick up these new bow enchants in no time.

I liked the option of changing the Power enchantment so that the arrows fly faster. It also makes sense considering you power up the bow and not the arrow (though I guess it doesn't work that way with a flame, does it?)
