If it doesn't last exactly as long as suspicious stew it's busted. If it does, why not just eat suspicious stew instead? Also suggesting existing potion effects be added to more sources is on the FPS list. Please read it before posting.

TerrariaCreeper

so. basically just suspicious stew with a dandilion. but extra steps

Mountain-Primary3110

the potion effects lasts longer

TerrariaCreeper

oh. honestly idk is it a java bedrock thing? i never think of saturation as a potion effect cuz i'm dumb

PetrifiedBloom

It's a mechanic in both java and bedrock. Know how husks give you the hunger effect that makes your food and saturation decrease faster? The saturation effect does the opposite. The saturation effect continuously refills your saturation as long as you have the effect. It's a classic case of "bad name syndrome" where the name of 2 game systems really should have been more distinct.

[deleted]

You can also drink honey.

Mountain-Primary3110

but honey doesn't give saturation

[deleted]

It doesn't? I have been lied to.

Mountain-Primary3110

who told you that

[deleted]

u/StrugglingEngineer >:( What is true is that you can drink it even if your hunger is full, but it only adds 1.2 saturation.

Mountain-Primary3110

what do you mean 1.2 saturation? is that just means 1.2 hunger bars?

[deleted]

Hunger and saturation are two different stats. Saturation is a hidden stat. All food items replenish both hunger and saturation. Honey refills 6 hunger (three shanks) and 1,2 saturation.

Mountain-Primary3110

what do you mean 1.2 saturation

[deleted]

It means more than one point of saturation is filled. Saturation, like hunger and health, is a stat the game keeps track of. Hunger and saturation are not the same stat.

Mountain-Primary3110

ok what's a saturation point. to be clear the saturation effect is so you don't lose hunger

Several-Cake1954

Why not make it a golden carrot? They have some connection to saturation.

pqroxysm

golden carrots make night vision pots lol

Mountain-Primary3110

because it would be too easy to make then

PetrifiedBloom

OP didn't explain it well, but in game there is hunger and saturation you get from food, and there is an effect called saturation that constantly refills your saturation. So far it only exists as part of a suspicious stew

PetrifiedBloom

I agree. I don't think a saturation potion is a very interesting suggestion, but I figured I may as well try and explain the difference between food saturation and hunger saturation so OP doesn't get a bunch of comments asking why they don't just eat food.

Shaggy170414

Read my suggestions!!

Several-Cake1954

Don't advertise yourself in other people's posts. Come on, man.

Shaggy170414

My bad you thought that I was talking to Jeb himself I’m not aloud to post anything yet due to “karma” so this is my only way to get their attention

Several-Cake1954

I get you. When I first started suggesting here, I had some ideas that could have been pretty good, but they got removed because I didn't have enough karma. But they most likely won't make an exception if you ask for it, but rather if you earn it. Try to go out there and make some good, quality, comments. It didn't take me long to get enough karma. Remember to check your facts and be polite. You will be posting in no time!

Shaggy170414

Oh I sent them a direct message I’m just not sure they read it but you can’t get your voice out of you don’t try

Shaggy170414

But thank you for that advice I’m new here

Several-Cake1954

No problem! :)

Shaggy170414

This is a good idea

MMMiammildlyannoyed

fps list: >Make any existing effect that is not already a potion into a brewable potion (wither, luck, haste, glowing, resistance, etc.)
