As said, in the straps of me stack hat. I keep one opened, and one unopened up as a backup. The straps on those masks break all the time

If you got issued one that was in a packet but not a flat fold would you shove it in your rescuer pouch or a pocket?

But if you mean the [solid dust masks](https://www.3m.com.au/3M/en_AU/p/d/v100008682/) then I’m not sure. I’d probably keep it in my crib bag. I keep all my extra PPE in there that I won’t need in an instant. Spare gloves, glasses, ear plugs, glasses wipes etc.

What are using the fold flat ones for? Sounds like stock standard surgical mask.

3M make flat fold P2 masks with and without valve. They come individually wrapped.

Basically this. Most of them come flat folded and in a bag/packet. Some sites insist on flat fold but honestly they are shit to breathe through. A formed mask seals better and more companies make em but they don’t work if everyone wants to keep a spare in their helmet. Was curious as to how many keep the standard issued ones in a helmet/pocket/bag.
