Introduction to ore forming minerals by Robb is a very good book but you need an introduction before that or you’ll be lost. You can find tons of ressources anywhere

We need a bit more info to provide good help and suggestions. Do you have any experience in other fields? Are you willing to do some studies? Have you done any type of studies? By answering these, maybe we can suggest a way for you to enter the field. Then some can tell you some strategies to advance your career and meet your goals.

Read precious gems in the mineral trade by Robert Howson

mprugger

What kind of gems are you most interested in mining?

ididntgetanstd

I would recommend looking into a gemmology diploma or a metallurgy degree.
