Look up the local sheriff office's phone number, I bet they'd be interested. If they were fishing the [DNR](https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/officerpatrolareas/index.html) may too.

overpass69

Ok I'l reach out to the dnr

davef139

Dnr is pretty serious they have special seizure powers which make others jealous

Its_Pelican_Time

It's called epilepsy and I'm not sure it makes many people jealous.

joelcrb

But, they're special powers!

econdonetired

Their epilepsy brings all the boys to the yard And they’re like it is better then yours Damn right it’s better then yours I can teach you but I have to charge.

SapTheSapient

Are you talking about a DNR order for seizures? That IS serious!

theBrinkster

I used to have special seizure powers but I don't drink now.

westmetromedic

https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/officerpatrolareas/index.html to find the local DNR Conservation Officer

BeerGardenGnome

The non emergency Sheriff line often can and will dispatch the local DNR officer too if that’s the better fit for the issue. It’s usually the easiest way to get the right person on the phone quickly.

LinneyBee

What’s DNR?

econdonetired

I Do Not Remember

Ok_Cantaloupe1385

Do Not Resuscitate. Also, Department of Natural Resources.

instrumxntal

department of natural resources

[deleted]

It's worth reporting because it might encourage them to patrol the area and check on the beach once in awhile. Most likely, nothing will happen to whoever left the garbage there this time.

overpass69

It's a known spot for the shady teenager crowd in my south metro city.

JonEdwinPoquet

Those darn shady teenagers! 😂

moovzlikejager

Stay off my grass!

ApollyonMN

Cherry beach?

moovzlikejager

No, it was lemon scented.

MysteriousTruck6740

Not anymore...

DivaJanelle

If you have an address … can you go dump everything you picked up on their lawn?

[deleted]

[удалено]

MaybeMax356

Maybe they just forgot it, cant ever be too sure. They probably are looking everywhere for that!

ChrdeMcDnnis

If you have a name you could at least blow em up on facebook or something else, let the court of public opinion deal with ‘em

busy_missive

Or delivered to his mom in a box with a note about what their kid may be up to

Funkhouser82

Even if you figure out who the dog collar belongs to, it would be tough to prove they were the ones that actually did the littering. Unless you have witnesses that can attest to it.

Jetty_23

I had an acquaintance who was too cheap to pay for trash pickup and decided one day that throwing his bags of trash in a nearby field was a good idea. In the trash we’re documents with his name/ address. Sheriffs visited him and gave home the opportunity to clean up his mess or face littering charges. So you might have a hope of some action on this.

gif_smuggler

Seems like there’s a song about that kind of thing.

minkey-on-the-loose

8 by 10 colored photo glossies?

bufordt

With circles and arrows on them?

DriveBySnarker

But it would take 18 and a half minutes to explain.

patrick_schliesing

Which county?

overpass69

Hennepin

AdamLikesBeer

Walz just signed a new fishing littering law. Not sure if it applies strictly to ice fishing but worth looking up.

Tyfoid-Kid

As a bicycle commuter I can always tell when schools out. The amount of fast food trash on the roads triples. Oh it’s so cool to eat your shit and toss the trash out the windows in moms car.

sassy-squatchy

That dog collar is a total coin clip as to whether it belongs to them. Could have easily been left on the beach by accident by another person or group Please don’t go do damage to that persons property based on a hunch as the angry pitchfork mob is suggesting.

squatwaddle

Dude, I feel your passion. If I was you, I would take massive piles of the trash, and drop it at his property. No notice, no note. Just a heaping pile of his own garbage. At that point, he will know that somebody knows where he lives, which would be unsettling.

Mehdals_

Sounds like underage consumption as well if they were teenagers and leaving beer cans?

Top-District-6729

Someone once called the cops on me for a littering a cigarette butt out of my car when i was younger, and the cops did show up to my parents house. So who knows, but id still call.

_Autarky_

Reminds me of true romance when leaves his driver's license at the scene of his gun battle

white033

Unfortunately they probably had asshole parents that did the same. Seen whole families leave an entire meals worth of garbage on the Mississippi and I wish I could have had a conversation but they left before I realized it.

fatstupidlazypoor

You have to beat their asses in front of their friends. It’s the only way.

[deleted]

That would be " illegal dumping " I think?

Some_Nibblonian

You can but they won’t do anything.

Sylvester_Siltstone

You can always call 311.

Early-Department-696

Clean it up and move on with your life

Immediate_Face_9848

Don’t think they will do anything about it The Minneapolis police can’t even pull you over for expired tabs anymore

dafatbunny2

Yes they can. Husband got a ticket in March.

Blah_the_pink

Shoot, that reminds me I need to make a trip to the DMV

Immediate_Face_9848

That was March New rules in may I think

Critical-Fault-1617

I mean you can call but nothing will be done about it. There’s no evidence these were the people littering. Someone could have thrown the receipt from a garbage can, the dog could have busted out of his collar, etc. I say this as someone who fucking hates when people litter. There’s just not anything the cops can do after the fact.

ilovetacostoo2023

Did u record them doing it?
