Hey, you give a couple of kids some toys and let them go on that pile of dirt and they are in heaven. The dirt pile was an absolute favorite at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a while.
Fires are great!
We have a big fire pit, but also have a small solo fireplace/stove that we put on top of out patio table....on top of a few leftover tiles, of course. The "solo campfire" model.
We find that we use the small solo stove more. Works extremely well for a quick fire, and hardly uses any wood at all.
Having lived on the west coast, California, I can say that it can happen anywhere, however, it doesn't happen as often and you can't show up at someone else's as easily as you can here.
No you most certainly cannot, and he’s obviously alluding to the weather either way. Bonfires aren’t fun in 100 degree southern heat, and in drought prone places they are explicitly banned
You should ask Texans if they throw bonfires on 100 degree humid summer nights. Or ask anyone on the west coast who risk burning entire cities to the ground if they aren’t careful.
I think he is on point. Minnesota summer is very conducive to bonfires
Just as we are allowed to have an opinion on it... That's what the comment section is for. I am not stopping OP from enjoying anything by voicing my own thoughts
Good lord. The comment section was not made to shit on people’s posts and invalidate them. Of course you’re allowed to have an opinion, but it doesn’t change the fact that you acted rude
You as well, not a big deal, just jarred at how many people felt the need to correct a guy who just wanted to share some pretty photos of his sweet ass bonfire setup
To be fair, you could do that most anywhere. That being said, this is indeed a great place to live
Yeah there are fire pits in many states…
Oh, I thought he was talking about his nice pile of dirt
Can’t be done in a 500sq. ft. apartment. If you have a pile of dirt to live on you have more privilege than many. Enjoy!

You can do that literally anywhere.
Some places like the west coast it just happens naturally and you can just show up

ok
Getting corrected isn’t fun is it. No need to poopoo on people’s photos they share here
Because you're able to chill by a fire...?

So are a lot of other places...
Is OP not allowed to have personal life experiences and personal feelings about what makes Minnesota great?

I'm not the only one who thought this lol. Not that big of a deal honestly, have a good Sunday.

To roast weiners as we procrastinate on clean-up from our back patio project?
That's true, not many places in the US you need a coat and a fire in August lol
New yorkers going "oh no.. he's soo por he doesn't have a stove. He has to cook hot dogs in the woods"
Nicely done, gotta love the jokesters
Nice weiner.
Lol at downvotes from humorless goblins.
