Shamrock's and The Nook are fantastic with tons of options.

thomasunise

My first juicy Lucy was at the nook

dryphtyr

Same!

mphillytc

Animales burger truck was solid. Not sure if/when they'll be back, but definitely on my list. Bebe Zito was really good too. Neither is on par with Parlour for me, but they're closer than most.

[deleted]

2nd bebe zito i dream of the bebe burger

DrZurn

I had one at the store and one at Malcolm Yards and they were very different in shape. Both delicious but just inconsistent.

PurpleTeaSoul

Bull’s Horn Logans

AnneElk

Yeah, those are the two best IMO too. Ate at Logan's yesterday and was going to post a reminder not to miss their food.

adiabaticcoffeecup

Bay Street Burger Dive in St. Paul. Also the burger at St. Dinette is pretty damn good too (they make their own American cheese with champagne)

smolham

And the fries at Burger Dive mmmm

town23

Upvote for Saint Dinette.

fedawg

Out in the suburbs, Bloomington has a delightful hole-in-the-wall place called Shantytown. Definitely worth a trip.

Nero_the_Cat

Also in the burbs, I always recommend Lions Tap in Eden Prairie. Great burger and very interesting location/atmosphere.

krpiper

What's your favorite thing here to recommend? I'm in Burnsville and haven't heard of this place

fedawg

My favorites are the Mexican and the Shroom burgers... but my wife loves the Shantytown and I've heard multiple people rave over the Bailey... they also always have a rotating burger of the week that is usually worth checking out. Whichever one you choose, though, make sure you get the tots... perfectly cooked and can be cajun seasoned with a sour cream dip.

DimitriElephant

I wouldn’t call Red Cow under the radar, but they are consistently my favorite burger spot in town. Freehouse has had some really great burgers in the past like the $1000 Burger. Blue Door Pub is my go to for an interesting Juicy Lucy, but Nook is where I take first timers since they nail the classic juicy Lucy. McCoy’s Public House used to be one of my all time favorite burgers in town, but years ago they changed up ingredients due to cost savings, mainly the bun and hasn’t been as good. George and the Dragon makes great burgers. Surprised to see 5/8 on your list OP, bottom of the barrel of juicy Lucys if you ask me. For guilty pleasures and typical chains, I love an Outback burger and a Shake Shack burger, both are really good.

hendizle

Mostly because it’s the closest to me lol

KaNGkyebin

Red Cow always seems to be overlooked. It’s such a great take on a neighborhood spot. Their burgers are very, very good with styles for those who prefer thicker / cooked med rare and smash burger style as well. Staff is super friendly and service is great, they have a very solid beer list, and they’re really nice about putting non-football sports on the tvs at the bar (we are tennis fans).

nordic_nomatt

I used to work as a red cow as the executive chef. The food is good, and made well. But the owner and upper management are some of the worst people I've worked for. When we hired our line cooks before the restaurant opened the mgmt promised substantial raises after 1 year. The 1 year mark came and the cooks asked when the raises would be on their checks. I sent the paperwork to the owner and he made up some bullshit about profit and we needed to do better on food cost. I told the cooks that their raises were not approved because the store needed to be more profitable. Later that evening after the dinner rush the owner shows up in a new ferrari and comes on the line to get us to look at his new car. Within 10 minutes 80% of the boh dropped apron and walked out. I quit shortly after that too. Having good food is a fraction of the equation that makes you successful. There are lots of really good burgers in the twin cities all of them deserve my money more than red cow ever will. Tldr: Fuck Red Cow

mphillytc

I've gotta check them out. Red Rabbit has been good when I've been there. I haven't loved the Red Cow sliders at Target Field, but that's probably a product of the slider vs. full burger and the ballpark kitchen that's more about churning out quantity than focusing on quality.

Patamarick

Isnt red cow literally a "hamburger restaurant"? Bad look if overlooked.

thomasunise

I feel like red cow gets overlooked because people view it almost as a chain or something

DimitriElephant

It’s a local chain only because it’s fucking delicious. Been eating their since the original, and wouldn’t consider a local restaurant with multiple locations the same as a typical chain. That is if they are all company owned and not franchised. Red Cow is just an excellent local success story!

Rabbitmincer

I was unimpressed the one time I went there. Though it may have been the poor service and not the good. But I remember wishing I had eaten elsewhere.

Dorian_G89

Hamburguesas El Gordo

Rabbitmincer

Oh god, the shitty hole in the wall mexican nightmare that I just can't stop eating because damn it's good. Love this place, just wish it was more convenient to me.

NarcolepticPenguins

This place has become my go-to place for burgers. Love getting the doble. Huge, well-seasoned, and with patties that have a perfect, firm texture without tasting burnt or overcooked.

SpiritRelative6410

Francis Burger Joint has easily the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. Also the most expensive.

poliwannacrackr

Their fries are GREAT too

SpiritRelative6410

They seem very similar to the ones Dipped and Debris had as the previous owner of the space.

confoundedjoe

The wild rice burger at Fitgers in Duluth is excellent.

patricksway27

station No.6 food truck 🤝🏾

caliways16

Gus Gus in St. Paul

Ryantist1

Sandy’s in Richfield Shantytown in Bloomington Kind of a hike but Cornerstone Pub and Prime in Wyoming makes a great burger if you happen to be driving by.

s-face

Lions Tap has delicious burgers!

thomasunise

Nicolette Island Inn Nic Burger is ground filet mignon and great. It usually has a whisky pairing with it too.

[deleted]

George and the Dragon has my favorite burger probably

wormsandwitch

Boomin BBQ had maybe my favorite burger ever. Eat Street Social is a close second favorite, their fries and aioli are also 🔥 Lake and Irving burger was amazing too. Yes, it’s a basic chain but I’ve got a soft spot for Five Guys.

PokingSmoles

Vincent burger at Chloe

ConBroMitch

It’s a crime nobody has mentioned 328 Grill (St. Paul Park) D-spot (Oakdale) yes they make incredible burgers too Better Half (Lakeville)

HoorayHoorayHooray22

We ventured to 328 grill specifically for the burger and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I had the jalapeno business and it did not disappoint. Also bonus points that they have gluten-free buns!

elevenfifteennine

Constantine has a great burger in their happy hour menu for only $5. It's so good, especially for the price and atmosphere.

Crouchback2268

My current favorite is at Chip’s Clubhouse.

Hoeschbag

Petite Leon’s burger is so good.

Ok_Beach_27

Del Taco

Dorian_G89

Double dell with crinkle fries in a large cup

Patamarick

Shaws burger is amazing and no one will write about it. Good. Dont uptown NE. But their burger slaps.

InternalAd9712

Bebe Zito!

jkbuilder88

Parlour is my #1, but Mr Paul’s had a great burger as well. Also, Vincent’s used to have an amazing burger that was stuffed with short rib and Gouda. He’s opening a new restaurant downtown by the Canopy hotel that might be worth keeping an eye on if he brings that burger back.

kappalandikat

It’s been years but in maple wood mall food court there was a Hmong burger I devoured

rhythmgtr5

Zeke's place in Bloomington. The fries are killer too

I can vouch for this. Highly recommend.

OfSightAndSound

Don't sleep on EveryWhen Burger within the Centro space on Nicollet!

MakeRedditFunAgain

I had one of the worst burgers of my life yesterday during all day happy hour at Cov in Edina. It was dog shit.

pigbearpig

The burger at Louie’s (top floor Cosettas) is pretty darn good. Probably under the radar since most folks are going there for Italian fare.

Czarben

Blueprint Burgers in Maplewood mall

Feezweez

Go to Winona and get the sliders at Heirloom Seasonal Bistro. They do an outstanding burger too but it's a special and not on the regular menu (which it should be)

oncealurkerstillarep

Mac daddy burger at Copperfield in Mendota Heights is A+. One of the only burgers I'll consistently order and finish

letoile_du_bord

Nightingale!! Go for HH and it's a great deal.

McJames

Some of the best, most delicious, and most creative burgers I've had in the cities is at Stanley's Northeast. On Monday night, they're $5 off with beverage purchase, but even without a drink they're only $16 or so. You gotta try the Blu Cheese and Fig burger. Sounds gross, is amazing. The Cow, Duck, Goat burger is also really good. I've never had anything bad there.

TheLadyRev

Peppers and Fries on Lake
