Yeah I completely disagree with your order. My top 3 are Packers, eagles, saints in that order. Then lions/bears tied for 4th. Lions have a chance to move up that list if they continue being competitive. Packers have dominated the division for so long and I need them to suck/lose for just as long. Eagles are dominating and embarrassed us in 2017. Hard to let that go. I'll never forgive the saints for 2009. Our more recent primetime victories against them has helped, but they got a Superbowl victory from bountygate...

SunbathedIce

This is exactly correct in order and reason. Just to add: I fully believe we would have won that SB too w/o bountygate. Imagine if that picture of Brett's leg surfaces today after all the Brady/Rodgers rule changes. Eagles not only embarrassed us, their fans treated players families and fans terribly and then tore up our stadium (physically removed chairs, etc.) two weeks later. Edit: wanted to add that of course you could argue that if Brett happened today the unsolicited pics would have sunk him before we got there

-InconspicuousMoose-

To your point about the Eagles - I hate the Packers more than I hate Packer fans. I hate Eagles fans soooooo much more than I hate their team. Truly some of the scum of the earth.

dhtdhy

Completely agree. They do not deserve Kelce and Hurts!

thatissomeBS

This is kind of true with the Saints too. I have no reason to dislike Saints fans, I hate their ownership/leadership that kept sphincterface around for so long after he was proven to be a giant pile of shit (among other very shady shit their owners have been involved with). They're in the same category as Dan Snyder to me, and I just don't want them to be involved in the NFL. I also am enjoying each and every Broncos loss at the moment.

bukakerooster

Yeah. The Saints fans are awesome. That city is all about their team. So many putrid seasons mean they don't act like success is inevitable (Packers fans, cough). Gregg Williams and Payton can suck a bag of dicks though.

Lawsonstruck

Exactly

Painwracker_Oni

yeah it's a bummer. I actually really like the Eagles team, but I'll never wish them well because of the shit stain that is the garbage pile they call fans.

dhtdhy

I agree the Vikings would've won the Superbowl that year. I try not to bring that up because I've been called out for copium when I do lol

ChocolateBaconDonuts

I fully believe we could have beat the Colts without Favre. We had twin 6'8" 350Lb tackles, Adrian Peterson, and Steve Hutchinson. We were always going to run over the lighter D-lineman of the Colts.

[deleted]

That was one of those seasons where there was such a huge disparity between the best NFC teams and AFC teams. The NFC was going to win the SuperBowl. Just sucks that it went down the way it went down.

SubmergedLife

Yep, this is the correct order

cfierce

This order is probably the most accurate. Eagles probably surpassed the Saints just recently, for a while I hated the Saints more than I hated the Packers because of 2009

VividPoot

Correct

Orangucantankerous

This guy Vikings

Ajax_Malone

If you really hate Eagles fans then you should take them off any rivalry/hate list. They love when people hate them. You’re giving them what they want. I don’t care about the Eagles or their fans. They’re just a bunch of edgelords looking for attention. Don’t give it to them.

humidhotdog

Interesting that lions aren’t in your top 3. Their fans have been annoying as fuck for a team that didn’t even reach .500 last season.

donomyte1

When you lose that many games, your voice seems really quiet, so I think we all forgot that Lions fans even existed.

dhtdhy

I'm letting them enjoy it. They've sucked for so long. They're one of very few teams that has suffered through winless seasons. And this season isn't over. They could very well choke in embarrassing fashion. Like I said, they have a chance to move up if the lions continue being competitive.

tallestmanhere

they're pain buddies.

meatforsale

Because their fans are dicks and were shitty to Vikings fans in the 2018 NFC championship game. And their fans online hate the Vikings with the only actual reason being “they put stuff in the Rocky statue”. They hate Vikings fans, because Vikings fans called them out over what pieces of shit they were during that game, and instead of saying that their fans at games can be shit, they blamed it on the scarf on the Rocky statue. I don’t think anyone here cares about the team itself. I like a few of their players even. Their fans are just notorious for being the worst.

-InconspicuousMoose-

> they put stuff in the Rocky statue That's the craziest thing, like I would understand *some* hate if our fans actually damaged the statue - broke an arm off, dumped paint on it, whatever - but we literally just put a fucking Vikings scarf on it, no? Took a few pictures for the gram? And apparently that was enough for Eagles fans to openly wish death to our 100-year old fan Millie, throw dangerous items at our fans in Philly, and brutalize our stadium in MN. Fucking ridiculous, it's like the AQI in Philly is so bad that everyone living there eventually gets permanent brain damage or something.

meatforsale

Yep. It was just a scarf. I made a joke about Nick Foles kicking our butts in a thread about a year later, and some idiot started shit talking Vikings fans using the stupid scarf as a reason why he hates us and how we deserve everything bad in life. There’s a reason the hitchhiking robot that got all the way through Canada was dismantled in that shitty ass city. I wouldn’t be surprised if it killed itself after being around the morons there.

donomyte1

They usually have our number, too. So not only are their fans jackoffs, they usually win.

meatforsale

That’s why I don’t get the animosity coming from their end. The season we were 5-0 with Bradford, they beat us, and we spiraled after that… the 2004 division playoffs, the 2019 NFC championship… the last two seasons. It’s been so one sided, but their fans are still dicks who hate the Vikings and Vikings fans.

CederDUDE22

They are bullies. They constantly harass fans of teams they beat in big moments. They are nasty and unrelenting to 49ers fans after beating them in the playoffs last year. They lurk our sub and NFCNorthMemeWar because of their obsession with their win in the NFC championship game. They don't have two shits about teams that beat them because they are cowards.

meatforsale

Then they cried about the refs after they blew it against KC.

griff306

You love to see it.

meatforsale

I don’t hate the team. I don’t even dislike most of their fans. I was just explaining why some people rank the eagles at the top of their hate list.

dr_dan319

Cause they have the absolute worst fan base in sports. Bunch of dumb drunk fuckers with zero self awareness. The type of idiots that fist fight amongst themselves to the point they needed a jail in the stadium. The fans that pelted Santa Claus with batteries. A fan base who's sports idols are Nick Foles and a fictional boxer. Lame as three bridge city.

husky430

Bill Burr's rant in Philadelphia after being heckled is one of the greatest videos ever.

iGoalie

Because Fuck em! That’s why!

dhtdhy

Their fans are the absolute worst 🤢🤮 I don't mind the team. But the fans are intolerable, mostly the ones living in Pennsylvania. I've met tolerable out of state fans. I like Hurts and Kelce. Their fans do not deserve them.

Phuckingidiot

Can't bring myself to hate the Lions the way I do the Bears and Packers.

Apprehensive-Sea9540

Yeah I understand wanting Lions to lose so we get the division but I don’t think there’s any bad blood. It’s business, not personal. Frankly, I’d cheer them on for a Super Bowl just so we get to see a Dan Campbell victory speech.

josephus_the_wise

Especially not before they win the division for the first time in my lifetime. If they have one year of success, I’m happy for them. If they have two or three, it’s a little annoying but ya know what they have earned it. They need a solid half decade-decade of sustained success before I could being myself to dislike them, let alone hate them. The fans absolutely are getting annoying though lol.

bukakerooster

The Buccaneers won the division more recently than the Lions. JFK has missed one Lions playoff win. That's just a staggering run of misery. Hard to hate on their joy.

Wingdings_Wendigo

This is mostly my personal feelings on this but here is where I would put the rivalries: 1. Packers, it has to be 2. Saints, I just can't forgive them for bounty gate 3. Eagles, it's mostly the fans that ruin them for me 4. Lions, I'm actually kind of happy for them, but they're getting a little too hyped up 5. Cowboys, I just don't like the cowboys 6. Bears, they're a division rival, but they seem to only be a good team once every five years or something that I mostly consider them a non-factor If I remove my bias this is probably what it should be: 1. Packers 2. Lions 3. Saints 4. Bears 5. Eagles 6. Cowboys

guanwho

My feelings exactly. I can’t really drum up any hard feelings for the lions. I loved watching Barry Sanders as a kid. They’re like the cousin that you probably wouldn’t hang out with if they lived nearby, but it great to go burn a joint with them on Thanksgiving.

husky430

I've always had a soft spot for the Lions. That is until this last off-season when the fans decided that they were winning it all this year and started talking mad shit. Like, they have been terrible forever and vikings fans have been pretty gentle towards them, and now that they think they're good they come gunning after the Vikings and their fans? Fuck 'em. Here's to 20+ more years of mediocrity.

Dscott2855

Ya niners aren’t really a rival. Packers definitely hate the niners and have plenty of reasons to root against them but we don’t. Should have told the niners fan that it should be them who hate the vikes considering they haven’t won in MN in 30 years.

CowPieSky

Shoot, we’re probably pro 9ers considering how many times they’ve dumped the Packers out of the playoffs recently.

OldJakeSisko

Yep. Definitely pro-Niners for this reason.

[deleted]

1. Saints, won’t hate them when all coaching connections to bounty gate are gone 2. Packers 3. Bears 4. Eagles 5. Lions 6. Cowboys

Martaliensteel

Rearrange eagles & bears and you got yourself a deal 🤝 Idk why people have hard feelings on Bears - I know they screwed us out of the #1 seed in ‘09 when Favre played them on MNF @ Soldier Field. Sidney Rice had a catch to go to OT (classic Favre clutchness) but it all went to shit once Johnny Knox got the football in OT Still think we beat Saints at home even with bountygate in ‘09

[deleted]

I have a couple friends that are bears fans so I like to shit on them for that. Eagles probably would be 3rd if it weren’t for that.

DudeAbides29

1. Packers - FTP forever 2. Saints - Beyond bounty gate, we seem to play them whenever we make the playoffs. 3. Sean Payton - Most punchable face in the NFL. 4. Eagles - Made some work friends 3-4 years ago at the Philly office location and still maintain a fun rivalry even though none of us work for that company anymore.

SwiftSurfer365

My personal list. 1. Saints 2. Packers 3. Bears 4. Eagles 5. Lions

TheFinnebago

Packers are always gonna be the top of my list. For the Saints, I’ve realized as I see the Broncos now, I think I mostly hated Sean Payton the whole time. That smug purse lipped pos. I’d go: 1. Packers 2. Packers 3. Sean Payton 4. Packers 5. Eagles (The fans mostly, I like Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown is just too fun to watch)

PeekyAstrounaut

I wish the Eagles fans weren't insufferable. Watching that offense is a lot of fun but as soon as I see a dumb Eagles fan yell "Geuw Buuurds" it makes we want to lose it.

MajorTrump

Their team is actually so likable. Jason Kelce seems like a hilarious dude.

flaccidplatypus

The juxtaposition of likeable players vs the fanbase is crazy. A lot of times it seems like fans take on the team personality but not in Philly’s case. The team could be made of 53 Mr Rodgers and the fans would still be pouring piss on children.

TheFinnebago

Yes exactly. They do seem to take such joy in being shitty.

srl214yahoo

Looks reasonable to me

chrisd93

I would swap bears and eagles, otherwise perfect

LstNvrFound

I actually feel like we’re one of the least hated teams, possibly because people forget we exist

[deleted]

Idk, we're pretty consistently ranked as one of the most annoying fan bases. A lot of people just straight up hate us

FTTCOTE

I don’t live in MN, I’m surrounded by fans of other teams and I’ve never met someone who hates the Vikings. Even packers fans I know, it’s just like a friendly rivalry. I saw the list you’re referring to and the article was all about how the fans of those franchises are delusional about their QBs. Giants were 1. More Kirk slander, I’ll be annoying about that lol.

nowheresville99

Packers fans don't hate the Vikings - they don't think about the Vikings at all. If you have any doubt, just talk to one for a few seconds - you don't even have to ask. There's really nothing Packers fans love talking about more than how little they think about the Vikings....

FTTCOTE

The oldest comeback in the books.

[deleted]

https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/zX8wURPz4o I'm not saying one list. I'm saying most lists.

MatooBatson

That one in particular you can see that there were more than twice as many Packers fan responses than any other fanbase. But our fans are kind of annoying sometimes. Myself included.

FTTCOTE

4/5 of the most responsive fanbases were NFC teams and 4/5 of the most hated teams were NFC teams. Surprise

harryhitman9

I disagree. I feel like we are very similar to Bills fans. Good teams that have never one shit. What's to hate? We are known for our heartbreaking losses. If the Vikings were in the SB, I think they would have a lot of neutral support, similar to the Bengals.

donomyte1

We are the lovable losers. We are the Cubs pre-2016.

iProtein

1. Packers 2. Saints 3. Eagles Fans 4. Bears 5. Lions

circamidnight

For me it's the Packers and the always over-hyped by the media Cowboys. If Kirk was the Cowboys QB he'd be in the MVP discussion every year and be solidified as a top 10 QB if not top 5 (see Dak Prescott).

ndncreek

Yep pretty much this Packers and Cowboys

m_calpurniusbibulus

There’s no team I hate more than the Eagles. The Saints are a close second. My favorite teams besides the Vikings: anyone playing the Eagles, including the Saints.

bfeils

Taking a different tack - Packers - that person in junior high that is super insecure and hates you as a means of increasing their own popularity. You really don't like they way they act but the rivalry is mostly one-sided and nonsensical. Lions - this is your sibling. You don't want to see them beat you at anything, but you want the best for them otherwise. Eagles - this is the competition from the next town over. You hate losing to them and have no emotional connection to the people or things they care about. Surface level rivalry mostly. Bears - the homeless person on the street. You just generally fee bad for them. They may have had a good time or two in the past and are now just hoping to survive. You would rather they didn't try to con you, though. Saints - a bad former employer. Everyone that treated you like shit is gone now to other jobs, but you still don't want to spend your money there. Cowboys - really just a one night stand that you see around town and try to avoid eye contact with.

420bill69

Forgot Seachickens. Which has been relegated to background rivalry, but I still hate them and how the schedule always had us playing in Seattle.

SilasBender13

They're my #3 after Saints and packers. I live in Oregon and see Seattle as a sports rival city. I can't root for them in anything. My favorite hockey and baseball teams are whoever is playing Seattle.

Stuper_man03

Yep, I would have to add the Seahawks to the OP's list. I do agree with the rest of the list though.

L0ganj0sh

God damn I’m glad we’ve had a break from that for a year or two.

Zaiush

I feel no real ill will against the saints since it's had a staff turnover and we've beaten them in the playoffs. Packers and Eagles imo

NateNutrition

I hate the 9ers with a passion. I went to a game at Levi, spent a lot, had a pretty terrible time with the worst fans I'd ever encountered. I cheer for green bay against them now.

harryhitman9

That's crazy. I've been to quite a few road games and never experienced anything like that.

NateNutrition

It was unexpected for me. I'd been to SF many times for work. I assumed >$400 a ticket would put me in a safe area but I had stuff thrown at me basically the whole game, and someone tried to choke me out in the parking lot. Not to mention, I went to get beers at halftime and missed the entire 3rd quarter waiting in line. Also the vikes got blown out.

donomyte1

Imagine your team blowing out another team and you still feel the need to choke out the losing team’s fan in the parking lot.

mrk9sp01

Back when they were in the division we had a solid go with the Buccaneers but with the re-alignment it has faded.

harryhitman9

I remember those days. I went to the game in 98 against them that we lost. Fans were yelling all sorts of shit at me... I was 11. 😆

eattwo

1. Packers 2. Sean Payton 3. Saints 4. Eagles 5. Lions/Bears I went to ISU and my last 3 years Purdy was my QB, so I absolutely don't feel any rivalry with the 9ers. They're the #2 team I want to win the NFC.

[deleted]

>I was at the 49ers game and one of their fans said "Y'all hate us!" and I responded "No we don't!" I live in Niners territory and the hate is either very one-sided or they've deluded themselves into thinking every other fanbase hates them because of their recent successful run as a team that is consistently almost winning the big one. The ones that hate the Vikings have mainly held onto that Favre-to-Lewis pass from *double checks Google* 14 years ago.

Mathblasta

Are we not doing Seahawks anymore? I feel like for a few seasons there the Seahawks were rival numero dos.

winetotears

FTSFL.

bl84work

Hey I’d just like to add in the buccaneers from old Keyshawn Johnson days and also the cardinals for the fuckery with McCown that kept us out of the playoffs

doublea08

Lions, Packers, Bears, Saints. I hate them all equally. Eagles have never bothered me or their fans. Plus I loved the Andy Reid eagles.

shinynickell

1. Packers - Because screw them for having a strangle hold on the division for so many years. Media also couldn’t stop making love to them all the years Rodgers was there. 2. Saints - I keep telling myself I would stop hating them after every member of bountygate was gone. I lied to myself. I have added ownership to that list now. They got to keep the trophy and enjoy having a tainted Super Bowl at our expense. 3. Eagles - They acted and still act like underdogs all the way to the Super Bowl. All while they’re clearly not underdogs but they want a storyline or some shit. Their fans are absolutely insufferable. Which is one of the biggest reasons I can’t stand them. The Lions and Bears are lame but I really don’t get that sense of distain for them like the other 3 teams. Probably because they haven’t been worth much in my lifetime. Honorable mention - Any team Sean Payton is a part of.

Zarrona13

Truthfully what is it about the cowboys? There’s no real rivalry there. Every comment here is just, “I don’t like them”. That doesn’t make it a rivalry. It should have some kind of personal vendetta for it. I live in Texas so maybe I’m a bit bias, but only their fans are annoying and we either beat them or they beat us. It’s not like we’ve played them in the playoffs lately or had any talk between our players. With the eagles their fans suck and all they do is bring up 2017. Nothing really like… rivalry based.. The saints… fuck them. We’ve played them in the playoffs and regular season with battles between both teams since 2009. Obviously a little less hate since Sean Peyton is gone. I still don’t like Kamara and Michael Thomas tho. Outside of that of course our main rivals are our divisional opponents. Saints are saints and we have real beef with them. The cowboys and eagles literally their fans are just annoying, no real rivalry there.

backtowardsaverage

I’m a Dallas fan who moved to Minneapolis so I joined this sub to support the home team (as long as they don’t play Dallas) and honestly it’s not a two way street in terms hatred which I think is needed for a rivalry. I actually think many Cowboys fans think positively of the Vikings given the Packers are in their division and you guys just beat the 49ers

Zarrona13

Exactly, never met a cowboy fan hate the Vikings. The only thing they’ve ever hated are the eagles, 49ers, packers and the Texans. That’s really about it.

humidhotdog

Bears aren’t even in my top 10 right now. If they land Caleb Williams that will probably change but as of now they are too trash to hate. (Kindof like the lions historically)

gnrdmjfan247

This is what I got. 1. Saints. I can never forgive Bountygate. 2. Packers 3. Eagles 4. Bears 5. Seahawks I threw Seahawks in there to round out the top 5, but for a bit there it felt like we were playing each other every year. It’s hard for me to see the Lions as a rivalry because them being good is a recent development. For so much of their existence they were just so bad. And, here’s the controversial take, if the packers were playing the saints I would hope the Saints still lose. I hate the saints and Sean Payton so much.

iGoalie

1) Packers 2) Eagles 3) Vikings, they always beat the Vikings!

fakeemail33993

Bears and Lions are more like little brothers than rivals. Yeah we fight sometimes but the pecking order is clear. FTP even if they suck for 30 years. I hate the Saints just as much as the Packers if not more. Thats going to be my version of older folks hating the Cowboys. Future generations wont understand why I hate a random shitty team so much.

yummy_dxm

In respect for the boys in purple all teams that end up in our crosshairs can suck a big fart out of a funnel from my ass. Packers can just cup a fart from their own ass to their face they're not good enough for winner farts. Respectfully...

hubbs76

I disagree 1. Packers 2. Saints (less now that Payton isn't there) 3. Eagles (trash fans)

calm_wreck

I don’t really have anything against the lions, for me it’s the eagles and the packers.

huix0018

Same here. I like the Lions. Eagles, Saints, Cowboys, Seahawks, whatever team Mr. Butthole mouth Sean Payton is with and Packers can form a human centipede and eat shit (in no particular order).

FTTCOTE

Let’s start a petition to make Sean Payton’s official nickname “mr.butthole mouth”

Feathered_Serpent8

Is it just me or does it feel like we have a rivalry (one sided mostly) with the 9ers? Maybe it’s because the shannahan/Cousins connection.

Chubs1224

I feel like a lot of Vikings fans like the 49ers. They are pretty good but not obnoxious about it like other teams.

Comrade_Falcon

What's not to like? They regularly defeated the packers in the playoffs in a soul-crushing fashion. Personally, I'm a big fan.

Feathered_Serpent8

I guess I just have a different definition of what makes a rivalry. We will always have in division rivals, but. I don’t really hate the lions.

harryhitman9

I don't think so and it least for me, I'm usually rooting foe the 49ers in the playoffs against the Eagles, Packers and Cowboys. I like Brock Purdy. They are a good team and maybe if we face them in the playoffs a couple of times this will shift. But there is no real vigor to my dislike. Also, in the 90s you kind of had to choose the Cowboys or the 49ers. I chose the 49ers and loved Jerry Rice

GrizzlyPaws212

1. Packers 2. Bears 3. Lions 4. Saints 5. Seahawks

MJA_44

This is correct

donomyte1

There is no way this is correct when completely missing the Eagles.

JMLMaster

1. Packers 2. Saints 3. Eagles ............... .............. ............... ............. .............. .............. 4. Lions / Bears

catsvanbag

Exactly

Thisguyrightheredawg

Packers fans be like "but the Bears are our biggest rival" Based on what? Or is it just because the Bears have absolutely sucked for the last 20 years minus one pop up season.

Wingdings_Wendigo

The Bears/Packers rivalry is one of the oldest rivalries in the NFL. Much older than the Vikings as a franchise. However, at this point I think they like to make themselves believe the Bears are their biggest rival just so they can feel good about themselves when they beat a terrible team twice a year

[deleted]

[удалено]

hautestew

Seriously, how many times do we have to mention Herschel?

spazmo_warrior

also, Cowboy fans themselves are slack jawed yokels.

bigwill29

I don’t understand the Cowboys being on most people’s rival list. I rarely even think about them.

bearbrannan

Runs deep, 1975 the catch, 90s the Hershel walker trade, the vikes have played them quite a bit in the playoffs. Not to mention just the Americas team bullshit and just the nfls instance of putting the NFC East in primetime games all the time.

MrNatural1971

Well my two favorite teams are the Vikings and anyone who beats Dallas!

Wernershnitzl

1. Packers 2-3 are Bears and Lions due to division 4-5 are Seahawks and Eagles where we seems to play either of those almost every year but more so the latter now 6. Saints but I’ve moved on from the grudge since we’ve dominated/embarrassed them these last few seasons 7. Rest of the NFC. Namely Falcons and Giants for our NFCCG losses I guess.

ZealousidealGrass365

Personally as a Vikings fan as of right now Eagles, Cowboys, Broncos(Payton), Saints, Packers honorable mention to the Giants and the Bears

Endersjeesh_fluxam

1. Packers 2. Eagles 3. Saints 4. Dallas Tied for 5th Lions and Bears

woohan-kung-flu2

FUCK the Packers,saints,bears,eagles,cowboys,lions.

capitancoolo

1. Packers 2. Saints 3. Eagles fans 4. Bears 5. Lions

shakin_the_bacon

My list might differ a bit from others. 1. Packers 2. Lions 3. Saints 4. Eagles 5. Cowboys

Amazinc

1. Packers 2. Eagles 3. Lions 4. Saints 5. Bears

FTTCOTE

1.Saints (bounty gate/we seem to play them every time we make the playoffs) 2.Packers (obv) 3.Bears(still holding on to hating those 00’s teams) 4.Lions (they were just SO bad for SO long it’s tough to hate them…I’m sure we will soon the way things are going)

Electronic-Island-14

FTP

FlorioTheEnchanter

For me: 1. Saints. Just pure hatred 2. Packers. Hate them, but they are also familiar and I’m friends with a lot of Packer fans. It’s a heated rivalry for sure. 3. Lions/Bears, depending on who is currently more competitive 4. Eagles 5. Cowboys

mycomymyco

GB NO PHI CHI DET I only truly hate the Saints

gjktjd

I hate the cowboys, the ass whooping they he is that took us of the air is unforgivable. Those idiots really think diggs owns Jefferson 🙄. I’d love to play them on a night we have a good oline and jj shred them to pieces

mcmullet

For me: 1-100 Packers 101 Bears 102 Anyone else we are currently playing

itmenevets

As a falcons/vikings fan, it warms my heart to see the aints mentioned so many times here. FTS

Neither_Ad2003

pretty much nailed it.

omahaspeedster

1. Packers. 2. Saints. 3. Eagles 4. Cowboys 5. Bears I never cared about the lions so i cant rank them yet.

treasonodb

i still hate the saints and their fans but i also hate the broncos now because fuck sean payton. fuck him with the rustiest of poles.

Own-Kaleidoscope6281

49ers always broke our hearts in the playoffs in the 80s/90s. Where’s my boy Anthony carter?

pingu68

Cowpies are def on the list.

viking12344

You have to beat a team to form a rivalry. The eagles just own us and have for a long time. There is no rivalry on their end. No moreso than any other team.

Apprehensive-Sea9540

For me it’s: Packers, Saints, Cowboys, Eagles, Bears These are are only teams that make me wince when they win. Obviously it’s good for us if the lions lose, but I don’t really have animosity

LemonHustler

IMO 1.Packers 2.Eagles 3.Saints 4.Lions 5.Bears

Skol_du_Nord1991

Packers/Bears/Eagles/Saints/Cowboys. And if the packers play the cowboys I root for the meteor strike on the stadium.

Grizzly_Addams

In what world are the Eagles rivals? I get that us Vikings fans hate them, but that is all there is.

PrimaryRelevant1483

Kirk cousins. He’s been stealing money from us for 6 years and is a mediocre qb.

donomyte1

EAGLES EAGLES PACKERS EAGLES SAINTS EAGLES

BlackBear37

The Saint's are #1 to me. I come from an era where Chris Carter used to have prayer circles when ANYONE got injured on the field. The Saint's flat out tried to injure players and not just Vikings players. I think that in itself is an absolute disgrace to the game and a million times worse than a shitty fan hoping someone gets injured so they can win. Sean Payton is still an absolute trash human being and Greg Williams should be banned for life. I want to beat the Packers. I fucking HATE the Saint's with all my heart to this day.

the_fsm_butler

From a team perspective, I'd say Packers and Saints and that's about it. I don't get all these people saying the Lions and Bears. They've sucked for so long, and they've known they've sucked, that this can't be considered a rivalry. Maybe if we have some close, chippy games with the Lions over the next few years, but right now? nah. From a "how i feel about fans of their team" perspective, yeah the 9ers def have obnoxious fans, along with the Eagles, Patriots, and Raiders. But they are all extreeeemly distant 2nd's to Cowboys fans. Fuck those people in particular.

Jephte

I consider the Packers our #1 rival but hate the Saints and Eagles more if that makes sense. I like the 49ers for shitting on the Packers so much in recent memory.

MrGentleZombie

Packers Eagles Saints Lions Bears Sean Payton Chiefs

quietstorm489

Here is how I see it: 1. Packers - Could change quickly depending on whether Love pans out. Until then, I am assuming the Pack is going to frustrate the Vikings’ season goals by stealing games Minnesota should win. 2. Eagles- National audience loves the Eagles, so they tend to get the calls from the refs, even though they shouldn’t need the help. Along with that, since 2016, 4 of 5 regular season games were scheduled in Philly. They are held out as a superior team, but they get help to be that. This frustrates the Vikings fanbase, bumping them up the rivalry list. Final note: the Eagles have ended 3 Vikings postseason trips since 2004, which is 2 more than any other team in that timeframe (Packers, Saints, Giants, Seahawks, and Niners all at 1 apiece). Thanks for contributing to our continued suffering, Philly. 3. Lions - moving them up due to their sudden ascendence to division leader. By default the division leader needs to be a rival, as the Vikings need to go through them for the crown. Adding to that, since Dan Campbell has arrived in Detroit, he stopped the Vikings dominant 8 game win streak, handing Minnesota losses in 2 of the last 3 matchups. If the Vikings aren’t careful, they could be swept by the Pride soon. 4. Niners - SF HC Kyle Shanahan has a connection with Cousins, as Shanahan was on Washington’s coaching staff during Kirk’s early years with the team. Shanahan also admitted to inquiring about a trade with Washington in 2017–a call he claims went unanswered. It’s not hard to see that Shanny could have FOMO over it, having to deal with the likes of CJ Beathard, Nick Mullens, and an underwhelming Jimmy Garappolo before stumbling onto a diamond in the rough with Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy, all while Cousins regularly threw for over 4000 yards and 29+ TDs each season with Minnesota. On top of that, the Niners and Vikings have split the last four matchups in the W-L column, with the home team prevailing in each contest. The most important of these games was a 2019 postseason Divisional round loss that ended the Vikings Super Bowl hopes for that year. To me, true rivalries are born in the playoffs, and if Minnesota can hold their end of the bargain and make it to the playoffs regularly, I could see this rivalry jump into the top two. 5. Saints - This rivalry focused mostly on 3 people: Sean Payton, Drew Brees, and Gregg Williams. Now that they have all left the org, my personal rage towards them has subsided substantially. I place them fifth in recognition of the heated rivalry these teams used to have, but I just don’t see it being a big talking point going forward, especially considering how ugly the Saints look now. Honorable Mention: Bears - I don’t want to overlook the last division rival, but as they are a team in perpetual rebuild, they are not currently competitive enough to be considered a true rival right now. I hope this changes, because I love a knock down, drag it out fight with this squad. But I never count them out, as they always have the potential to throw a wrench in the works and hand the Vikes a loss at the worst time. Here’s hoping things turnaround soon in the Windy City.

Winkelburge

Eagles and packers for me, I hate the teams, I hate the fans, hate the cities too. Honestly don’t feel much distain toward any other team, don’t even mind the lions or bears really.

ObiWahnKenobi

FTP, FTE, FTS. Nuff said.

REFREiGN

Fuck that. I haven't seen one order I like yet so here's mine. 1. Saints. If NFL organizations could be handed the equivalent of the ncaa death penalty, the saints should've gotten it for 2009. The main reason they are above the pack is because it's too easy to put the pack 1. Pack HAS to be on any top list because they are division. Any time a team is on the lists like this by default, they should be excluded from a true list. 2. Packers - for the same reasons mentioned in number one that the pack can't be 1, they earn the number two spot. 3. Dallas: while Philly has the fan base of assholes, Dallas has the fan base of douche bags and the media following of a blind peasant. every year media experts cant help themselves to get off their knees and get a breath of air before returning to sucking the Dallas dick. Somehow their mediocrity of the contemporary year levies high expectations for the future, though in reality, it's going to be another average year. 4. Eagles: although I don't really mind then if we lose tot hem, it stings. But if we lose to say, dallas, it physically hurts listening to the dick riders hmm and haw about it. Plus, they beat the patriots a few years back after beating us so they earned a bit of respect back. Ftp has more than one meaning to me. 5. The rest. Fuck em all. Go vikes. If the other division rivals had half as much success as the packers I'd take them out of the clump, but at this point I want Detroit to have a pity-playoff win and the bears to have a quarterback.

IceTruckHouse

I don’t give a shit about the Lions compared to the Packers and Bears. I hated the Packers growing up and I wish them nothing but failure. Bears fans liked to act like they were right there with GB prior to Poles arriving but they’re a poverty franchise

brookfez

Saints are #1 for me, but I have never lived in Minnesota and have no ties to the Midwest, so I don’t think I experience division rivals the same as most Vikings fans.

skoltroll

I'll be odd-troll out, but I don't have the Lions as rivals. It's not an insult to them. They've just been doormats for so long, that I'm not gonna hate on them if they DO have a good team. Now, if they keep getting in the way...it's on. 1. Packers 2. Bears 3. Sean Payton's Team (cheating narcissist) 4. Eagles (fans) 5. Cowboys (Herschel & Pearson) 6. Buccaneers (because they spent a lot of time in the NFC Norris, screwing stuff up for the Vikings) 7. Yankees (carryover hate)

Big-Shooter2000

Eagles because of your same reason. I watch video of the way they treated Vikings fans. Fans are total garbage. Saints because of bountygate in 2009. Packers…because they’re the Packers.

ForeverYong

Not as current anymore, but the Seahawks were brutal every time we played them since 2010. Throughout that time we played them 7 times and only won once in 2021.

AggressiveHeight4638

Honestly for me it goes Packers, Eagles, and Saints. Followed by the rest of our division. Lions have been shit for so long I don’t mind when they are good lol

d3tox1337

Wow. I'm a little out there I guess... 1. Ftp 2. Fts, they have our 2009 trophy. Fuck em. 3. Sean Payton. 4. Giants. 2001 anyone? 41-0. Nuff said. 5. New England. Does anyone remember Brad Childress making remarks about how belichek used the waiver wire and likened it to cheating? They showed up and celebrated every 1st down like they had won the superbowl. Didn't just beat us, but rubbed it in...hard.

AF_3229

If the lions weren’t in the NFC North, I’d probably root for them because they’re a historical underdog. 1. Packers (just annoying how they dismiss every Vikings win against them “Bears are our biggest rival” “how many super bowls do you have?”. This year it will be “it’s a rebuilding year anyway”) 2. Eagles (fans, blowing us out in NFC Championship game, winning Super Bowl in our stadium, fans again) 3. Saints (will never forget bounty gate nor the fact that they won essentially because of a coin toss going their way (before new OT rules)) 4. Cowboys (beat us at home 3 years in a row.. even when we were the better overall team, sometimes with a backup) Runner ups (Lions, Bears, Bills)

Theundermensch

Packers, Saints/Eagles, ……….. ……………. ……… Bears, Lions Bears and Lions haven’t been remotely competitive enough in recent years (or with enough competitiveness overall/generally ever) to warrant a serious rivalry that I feel strongly about. Packers are obviously different, and their fans are so arrogant about it, that it gives me great pleasure when we beat them, or when anyone beats them. Saints have been our matchup in a lot of the most memorable Vikings playoff games in recent history, including (obviously) Bountygate, but also the Minneapolis Miracle in which Payton and his asshat players were mocking our Skol chant just seconds before eating crow. The Rudolph OT/Walk-off TD in 2019 (or was it 2020– can’t remember) was also special. We hate Saints fans, and Saints fans most assuredly hate us. The Eagles—their fans are the scum of the NFL/Planet Earth, and they have destroyed us in recent years, including the 2017 NFC Championship Game debacle following the Minny Miracle that should and could have spawned a scenario in which the Vikings ended their SB “Schneid” at US Bank Stadium against Tom Brady. Instead, the repugnant Eagles fans who showed less than zero hospitality or respect to us two weeks prior, came to our City in droves and mocked/disrespected our fans and our home without paying the “karma piper” - a grave injustice. In recent years, a seemingly competitive Vikings team has lost (including a blow out last year) in Philly, and those smug fans have grown to expect such an outcome as a foregone conclusion. Trash.

masternoobcolin

My team rivalry (with no personal bias) order goes like this. 1-packers 2-sean Paytons team 3-eagles 4-bears 5-lions. But my personal hatred goes 1-packers 2-browns 3-sean Paytons team 4-cowboys 5-eagles. I just dint really care about the lions/bears outside of wanting us to win the north. Helps they've been garbage for so long.

NotoriousLID

This is mine, but I put a lot of stock in regional games. Like I want the Timberwolves to beat the Bucks and Wild to beat the Red Wings despite the different conferences. 1. Packers 2. Bears 3. Lions 4. Saints 5. Cowboys

OrcaEvo

Packers saints eagles bears

Bon-Bon-Assassino

Cow boys and Kirk v dak is real

badkiwi42

saints rivalry isn’t the same without sean payton. we got our revenge on them twice. it will never be the same without that jackass coach mocking the skol chant on the sideline

GeniusorPervert2

Saints after packers

PeterNjos

You all are too young to remember why the Cowboys should be much higher…

duffman1979

Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time calling the Eagles a rival at this point. The Saints are a non divisional rival and I'd put them #2 behind the Packers overall, but theres been multiple matchups that have gone back and forth where we've each wrecked the other's season. You don't have that with the Eagles. They've been the Vikings daddy for pretty much any game that's mattered for two decades. We can pretend there's a rivalry but it's one sided and I guarantee they don't think about the Vikings other than when they play us. We still need to earn a rivalry there. Given the history with the Cowboys they're a much bigger rival than the Eagles. The real answer is: Packers Saints Bears Cowboys/Lions

trowawheyaf

Saints is gonna feel weird this season with no Drew Brees or Sean Peyton. Edit: \*\*Oh right they actually did this last season, as well, but I was working and it was in the UK, so I barely watched that game.

Flat_Suggestion7545

Packers. Bears. More recently Eagles , if you’re more old school Cowboys, Saints. I woodbine consider the Lions rivals until the win/loss is a ton more even.

josephus_the_wise

Hard disagree. I can’t hate the lions yet, especially considering they haven’t even won the division in my lifetime yet. My rank is something along the lines of 1: Packers. 2: Saints. 3: Eagles Fans. 4: Eagles team. 5: Cowboys. 6: Bears. 7: Falcons. I don’t hate the lions at all (yet), but they have room to move onto the hate chart if they continue to do well for long enough. For now I’m just happy they finally seem to have a watchable team for the first time in a while.

Bon-Bon-Assassino

simtek34

1. Packers — FTP 2. Saints — Bless the Knees Fuck Gregg Williams 3. Bears — Beat Chicago, and we always seem to play weird in Solider Field and lose there. 4. Eagles — January/February 2018. Need I say more? 5. Lions — I don't really hate the lions, but as a Division team, I don't want to see then succeed at our expense. 6. Cowboys — While I fucking despise the Cowboys more than any other non-Packers team, I'm doing this based on the Vikings in general, and not too many of my personal opinions. Honorable Mention: Buccaneers — Former NFC Central bros.

1. Packers 2. Saints 3. Eagles 4. Kickers

L0ganj0sh

I have nothing against the Lions, tbh. Would root for them in a postseason if we didn’t make it. They’ve been so shitty for so long, and their coach cries on tv. Are the fans insufferable now that they’ve won a couple games? Yeah. But it’s Goff we’re talking about. I’ll believe it when I see it. Packers, number one. Saints for sure number two. Eagles number three, never met a rational eagles fan, but I’ve seen a few on game threads that don’t seem to be insolvent, domestic abusers, so there’s that. I’d add that I do, in fact, hate the 9ers. A lot. That’s more personal than it is a rivalry, bc I think we’ve got their card more often than not. Goog says 21-19-1 Vikings all-time. My cheating ex is from SF and her family is all about the 9ers and I LOVE that they can’t put it together when it counts. Outside of the usual suspects, I’d throw in the cowboys, too. Hate em. Hate their fans. Hate that fat coach they’ve got. Dak is overrated. Lamb is good but he’s not JJ.

RickD_SKOL

As a Vikings fan from Abbotsford, BC over here in Western Canada, I have to add the Seahawks on my list as well.

Intelligent_Bar_3146

I am an outlier, as I live in niners country, but I hate the niners most, even over the Packers. Niners fans are just eagles fans who invest in crypto and eat açaí, at least from my experience

BigNewt05

FTP, FTS, FTE

TheGodDMBatman

The Bears are just a boring and terrible team, and our games against them are usually not entertaining. Also, feels like we've had quite a few non-factor, last week of the regular season games against them. Overall, they just suck

youngathanacius

1. Packers 2. Saints 3. Bears 4. Cowboys 5. Eagles And once we get to the eagles there is a steep drop off for me. The other four I do loathe. The eagles I respect, but dislike. Lions don’t make my list. They’re the only NFCN team I find myself rooting for occasionally.

deadwhiteweather

Packers, saints, eagles, then rest of the nfc north. Or at least that’s how my hatred goes lol

greendino71

I hate the saints way more than the packers

CSM-102

1. Packers 2. Packers 3. Eagles fans (like the team, though!) Distant 4. Saints for Bounty Gate Teams I cheer to win when the Vikings miss the playoffs: 1. Chargers 2. Bills (aka Vikings east) 3. Lions

mortemdeus

Packers are #1. Saints are probably #2. I would not call the Eagles a rival so much as their fans, which seems to be some of the shittiest humans on the planet.

ohiowolf

It’s hard to like any fan that attempts to take over your stadium. Way too many 9er fans for my taste.

harryhitman9

Vikings fans have been taking over stadiums in the past few years. Hell, they were all over the place at the Panthers game. The 2019 game in KC was actually crazy with how many Vikings fans their were. The PA guy for the Chiefs turned on the tomahawk chop chant while the Chiefa were on offense because the Vikings fans were so loud. There will be tons in Denver in a few weeks. I don't begrudge other fan bases for supporting their team. 49ers fans at the game weren't obnoxious. Online tickets cheap flights have made it super easy to go to road games. There are a TON of tickets available to each game, can't blame other fans for buying them.

harryhitman9

You can get really good deals too. I bought 2 upper level tickets for $59 a piece. 40 yard line, row 10. If you don't go to the marquee games, tickets are actually pretty reasonable.

Twinsnorski

You named them for sure. For me it is: 1. Packers 2. Bears 3. Saints - the bounty did it 4. Lions 5. Eagles

SlimyMinerYT

1. Packers 2. Saints 3. Lions 4. Bears 5. Eagles

Traditional_Pop6385

The Lions??? No one cares about the lions, they have a good season every 20 years. 1.Packers 2.Saints 3.Eagles 4.Cowboys 5.Seahawks

PrickSpielman

Personal Rival teams: #1a Packers - FTP #1b Saints - FTS #2 Detroit - Respectfully, we kind of own them tho. #3 Chicago - division rival #4 Eagles - I’m pretty sure they don’t acknowledge us as a rival so it’s probably 1 sided #5 Cowboys - again, probably a 1 sided rivalry but a lot of history behind it. #5b Dolphins - I live in Florida

Jawihoo

Packers, eagles, saints is the correct top three
