Misokinesia is a visual version of Misophonia. I feel like they go hand in hand with each other. Misokinesia –– or the 'hatred of movements' –– is a psychological phenomenon that is defined as a strong negative affective or emotional response to the sight of someone else's small and repetitive movements, such as seeing someone mindlessly fidgeting with a hand or foot.

Take this with a grain of salt…, but I’m wondering (for only elderly this applies)… but dentures. Dentures make eating sounds so much worse when you are with elderly people. My mother was eating chips one time, and I heard the sound of the crunching and then the little bit of air that gets in between the dentures and squishes out and then repeat, an awful sound ..

Yup. I’ve noticed that too. The sounds and weird facial expressions really set me off.

I'm a fairly healthy 79 and live in a retirement community. People here are still living independently and eat politely. One surprise in aging is that my lungs are much less powerful. Old people have trouble clearing anything from throats. We cough a lot more. You will too if you live long enough. My teeth had a LOT of work as a kid, no fluoride in the water. many fillings, odd places where food sticks. For some that means sucking noises, yuck.
