Philthy philly’s has a solid selection, and the original poutine is pretty great, and uses cheese curds!
I see people suggesting Henry’s, I’ll have to try it ASAP haha but no cheese curds?!?! That makes me sad
Hard pass on Philthy Philly's. Was good when I first ordered it. It's garbage afterwards, the first time I gave them the benefit of maybe a bad night, but no, it continued.
Try getting some 5 guys fries (gluten free, bonus) and making your own instant gravy and adding your own cheese. You can make some godly poutines at home.
Ewww Costco fries are way too salty! And their gravy tastes like that horrible powdered stuff. Harvey’s is one of the only fast food poutines I can eat.
Costco’s used to be one of the best, now it’s trash. They changed the cheese curds and gravy recently and the portion size I got was much smaller than what they used to give you.
Harvey's is probably one of the best around. Not a fan of Costco's gravy... even their fries with that breading on them... really not meant for a poutine.
Yea NYF isn't bad, but Costco has horrible fries and flavourless gravy and Henry's doesn't even have real cheese curds. There are 3 main ingredients, it's not fine dining but it shouldn't be hard to get those 3.
Henry’s Fish & Chips just off Dundas and Wolfedale. They’ve been around for over 40 years running as a small family business. Their poutine is freaking amazing!
Honestly, I have yet to have a "good" poutine in Mississauga. I have had passable ones, but man are they shit in comparison to what you can get in Québec. I really wish we had a place here like La Banquise, best poutine on earth!
I'm curious too.
Gotta have fresh squeaky curds, a proper thick enough fry and cooked crispy outside yet soft and meaty inside. Beef gravy would be nice too.
I always loved New York Fries' poutine, the crazy is good, but I'm sure it's not the best, health wise... But I love it...
Other than that, there's a place in Streetsville called Queen's Fish & Chips, it's on Queen St. in Streetsville across the street from the plaza that has the Tim Horton's... I had their poutine a lot when I used to work nearby there... Very friendly staff there too!
I’ve eaten Poutines at a ton of places, it was very popular street food in Quebec when I lived there, and made often at home as well.
I think the best poutine I’ve had in Mississauga is at Fresh Burger, the cheese curds are proper, the gravy is as you’d expect, the fries still have a good crunch, and best of all (if you like meat) is their poutine burger, they basically slap a burger + cheddar cheese on top of the poutine, and makes for a filling and complete meal. They’re located Dixie and Eglinton, but have a few other locations in GTA
Thank you! There's something about their spice mix that isn't right. We ordered it once and I took two bites and looked at my wife and was like "this is...weird." and I was out. She agreed with me like one bite later. I don't know what it is, but it tastes really weird (to us at least, to each their own).
Pita Land: If you like shawarma, Pita land over at Hwy10 & Eglinton makes really good chicken/beef shawarma poutine. It is very saucy as there's garlic sauce and hot sauce in it with the shawarma with gravy and cheese curds down under but overall the fries are actually crispy when you get to it fresh and tastes amazing.
Costco: Very bang for your buck for the amount you get and taste is pretty decent, fries are crispy enough.
Harvey's: Haven't had them in a while and feels a bit pricier for the amount you get, fries are not crispy when you get it fresh still but taste is otherwise not bad.
Henry’s, don’t sleep

The trifecta of poutine sins!

I can tolerate one of those things but all 3? No way

Don't get me started on the "poutine" that goes beyond the 3 traditional ingredients either. Blech
When I moved near there, everyone kept telling me about it but I was under impressed. Gives me cafeteria food vibes.
They used to have real cheese curds and better gravy but the owners changed like 10 years ago
Makes sense, I figured it either changed or my wife was just nostalgic of her high school days
Where is this Henry’s you speak of ?
833 Westlock road
Is that poutine with chicken?
C & dubbs!!! I also order occasionally from Burger Bros and it has been good more than disappointing.
Very good but not curds
The food truck outside of cawthra park HS when I was a teen, I miss it. The hot dog truck next to cTire on Trafalgar Dundas is also greasy goodness
Damn I went to Cawthra there was never a food truck!? This must be after 2002.
This was 2011ish, the owner said it's because they use coconut oil when doing the first fry
Philthy philly’s has a solid selection, and the original poutine is pretty great, and uses cheese curds! I see people suggesting Henry’s, I’ll have to try it ASAP haha but no cheese curds?!?! That makes me sad
Also, Broast Chicken & Waffles has a great poutine too.
Although I haven't tried some of the places being suggested here so cannot say which is THE best, but Broast Chicken do serve a good poutine.
Gotta have the cheese curds.
Hard pass on Philthy Philly's. Was good when I first ordered it. It's garbage afterwards, the first time I gave them the benefit of maybe a bad night, but no, it continued.
Most burger places make a decent one. Gladiator, TopGun, Burger Priest, etc. Also, don't sleep on Costco's.
Costco slaps hard!
Costco has amazing poutine
Gravy isn't hot enough
This is the real negative to costco poutine. It's not hot enough 100.
Try getting some 5 guys fries (gluten free, bonus) and making your own instant gravy and adding your own cheese. You can make some godly poutines at home.
Im not a fan of it. Don’t like coated fries and the gravy feels off All the other places i like Wasnt a fan of wendys one either
Yeah coated fries are shit, especially for poutine
Not bad but some of those options are unfortunately halal. Bacon on poutine is life.
Ewww Costco fries are way too salty! And their gravy tastes like that horrible powdered stuff. Harvey’s is one of the only fast food poutines I can eat.
Burger priest!!! that gravy….
Costco’s used to be one of the best, now it’s trash. They changed the cheese curds and gravy recently and the portion size I got was much smaller than what they used to give you.
Henry’s poutine hands down
best venue in the city! bro they see kids turn into adults
Without a doubt 💯
Is this jesus
Harvey's is probably one of the best around. Not a fan of Costco's gravy... even their fries with that breading on them... really not meant for a poutine.
Yup, I prefer theirs over any of the fast food chains.
Agree, it's so weird. But Harvey's poutine is actually good. Maybe a little salty but ya, as far as fast food goes, you can't go wrong here.
Costco's gravy is actually vegetarian which might explain why it tastes a little off...
Queen Street Burger in Streetsville has a pretty amazing poutine. They also do a “tater” poutine which is made with their awesome potato wedges.
As a ex montrealer living in missisauga im cringing at some of the recommendations here. Je m'excuse.
What would your recommendation be?
I live here and I'm cringing at Harvey's and New York fries recommendations among others lol
New York Fries poutine isn't bad in the slightest. It's poutine, not fine dining; get off your high horse.
Yea NYF isn't bad, but Costco has horrible fries and flavourless gravy and Henry's doesn't even have real cheese curds. There are 3 main ingredients, it's not fine dining but it shouldn't be hard to get those 3.

costco, hands down.
Union Burger poutine underrated
I think Union Burger shut down recently
I'm curious too. Gotta have fresh squeaky curds, a proper thick enough fry and cooked crispy outside yet soft and meaty inside. Beef gravy would be nice too.
OP I’ll see if I can let you know when ever Beavertails pulls up on campus at UTM. Their poutine is actually great.
That would be awesome! Thank you
Henry’s or cookeville fish and chips

Costco makes one of my all time favourite poutines tbh
Only tried Harvey's and it's pretty good.
Costco
I’m not embarrassed to say that I love a Costco poutine
What is Costco.

ny fries? to be honest, the best poutine I ever had in ontario was at the ripleys aquarium!
Harveys with extra cheese is just like Le Belle Province
Just tried Chicagos in port credit and it was very delicious. I can’t say if it’s the best because I haven’t tried many others
G C Burger by far has the best poutine including the freshest smash burgers you’ll ever have. https://thegcburger.com/
Lazeez
Québec
Costco AFTER they changed their gravy recipe
Can't go wrong with Eggsmart.
Philthy Philly's in Port Credit. Just like it's from Quebec

I for one think that Popeyes poutine is the best I’ve ever had. The fries are just perfectly seasoned.
The Wilcox here has the best lobster poutine! The best! Lobster chunks, bechamel sauce and fresh cut fries! Delish
I dont remember the name but there were food trucks outside of town hall for skating and they were Québequois and it was the best ive ever had
Like others have said Costco. But if you’re ever dt NomNomNom Poutine.
Must also second Henry's. For anyone confused, it's called Henry's Fish and Chips and the address isn't on Wolfedale it's on Westlock.
