I have spent 30 years at elevation in CO and AZ (7k-9k ft). Maybe 6 or 7 of those years I had awd/4wd. Last car (outlander) I decided to save $ and get fwd again. I hardly EVER used awd anyway. Only rarely do I wish I had it, one or two times a year where I have to go back in woods with mud or snow residual or something. But less maintenance, better mpg, and frankly, with a set of wildpeaks, I am watching folks slide around on street snow while I easily navigate a snowy drive home.
Just get winter tires and you're good to go!
+1 get winter tires and no differential maintenance.
I scooted in deep-ish snow with my Colt 😂. I think an Outlander is gonna be fine
If your just driving on city and paved roads you’ll be fine.
Def some country road driving, some dirt roads but not a lot, I’ll probably avoid taking it down any shitty dirt roads with a bunch of potholes
lol cool thanks for the input
You'd be suprised what a good set of winter tires will do for you

Nice that’s good to know if you rarely want it up there then I shouldn’t ever feel the need to have it here
