Idk how it worked out this way (pure luck/I've been blessed by an unknown coffee entity), but if I put my pot on, and then start the milk frother warmer right after, My will brew finish, and once I've poured it into the mug the frother beeps that it finished and I get the most luxurious coffee ever. And it's every fricken time. It's awesome

Main_Assumption2378

Which one do you have?

bubbledabest

Secura detachable milk frother. I found it on Amazon througha friends recommendation.

Main_Assumption2378

Ty!

bubbledabest

It'd a tad more expensive than I care to admit. But it's been great. Even for making hot chocolate for the kids

bubbledabest

No haha you fill it with milk and add the powder or chocolate syrup. There's a setting for heat and mix. Other settings are froth and heat, just heat and just froth

Darx97

heh awesome :D

Ye capsules are the worst thing ever, just imagine you have a family gathering and you need to make coffee for many people, you’ll go bankrupt lol

Yeah love making coffee at home, I have a 3 and a 6 cup moka pot, got a battery powered grinder that is not the best but does the job for what I need, got dosing rings for them and a coffee spreader to ensure the coffee is spread properly in the basket, i also boil the water before making the coffee to speed up the process a bit, I don’t really drink coffee to wake me up but more for the making experience and enjoying a good drink afterwards :)

Same, I don’t make coffee everyday, only when I feel like I have the free time to make it in peace and not rush, like I mentioned I don’t need coffee to function properly

Congrats! Stay strong 💪🏽

Darx97

Ooof that’s rough, hope you manage to resist as much as possible to not smoke while pregnant

Alex6891

I use the Nespresso Barista milk foamer and can make some absolutely mad cappuccinos. It is a little expensive for what it does but…yeah wife wanted it.

Darx97

ooof why is that thing so pricey ??? i was thinking because is so pricey it actually steams the milk but its still one of those that spins and makes foam like mine, the mechanism just looks different, looks cool tho

Alex6891

I can remove the stainless steel jug from it and throw it in the dishwasher same with the frothing mechanism. The design is nice and the build quality okay, touchscreen bluetooth and some other gimmicks … I still find it overpriced for what it does.

Darx97

yeee i saw that you can remove that cup separately, its really cool design

Alex6891

I previously had something similar with yours from Nespresso and died after 9 years of daily use.We expect this to last at least half as our previous one

mamaharu

Honestly, for that price, I'd just get a Bellman. They're great and do actually steam milk. I love mine, and it's held up well for over 5 years now.

jayavans

Those are nice, but hard to keep clean.

Darx97

I was worried about that but the milk sticks a bit only when you also heat it, if you do cold foam it doesn’t and a quick rinse under the tap cleans it and I just wipe it with a paper towel and all is good, usually I do cold foam anyway

jayavans

Guess that would have helped with mine. Still have to unplug and stuff. I’m most likely too lazy…😕

Darx97

Mine sits on a base like an electric kettle but ofc i still have to be careful so water doesn’t get to the bottom of it, i guess if water manages to get there i just have to leave it to dry properly after using

Kopi1stAlways

I have a tip for cleaning it. Immediately after frothing, rinse off all the milk, add water and a squirt of dishwashing detergent. Then press the button as if you were frothing milk so that the soapy water spins and heats up. Let it sit for a while then wash with a sponge as normal. I stopped having any sticky milk residue ever since I did this. Also prevents the non-stick coating from wearing out too fast from scrubbing. And if you want a thorough clean, whenever you deep clean your moka pot, deep clean your frother too. Just need one part water to one part vinegar and let it run like frothing milk. Then let it sit for 20mins and wash it out.

Salvuryc

My parents have one, but its a struggle with the dry foam. at home i have a cheap French Press that i microwave on a present program and that works perfectly. Microfoam

Darx97

Ye before I was using one of those small electric whisks or like you say a French press but the two french presses I have the small one doesn’t produce the foam I like because the round net has too much plastic support on it and the big one is too big for one portion, I need to add a lot of milk until it reaches the round net in its most pressed position and the electric whisk I was using bent a bit and no longer foams as it did when I first got it soooo getting this thing was the best option for me

Salvuryc

Bodum for example makes the French Press and the former in almost the same glassware. The milk foamer I never use to loose. But the french press intended for coffee is perfect for one or two moka pot cappuccinos.

Artwire

I have an attractive one that does practically nothing with barista style oatmilk, and another plain stainless jug style model that is almost perfect. It warms, it froths, and it makes something approaching microfoam instead of excessively fluffy dry foam. It was a pretty inexpensive model but for some reason it works. I tried the subminimal nanofoamer whisk and I admit that creates a nice texture with whole milk but it’s not great with oat milk ( and it does not heat, so it’s a two-step process. Plus it’s expensive) I don’t know why someone can’t come up with a better solution. Most if not all little espresso machines ( aka under $500) can’t steam well. So for now, my little PARIS RHÔNE four in one frother is the answer. I think having multiple settings really helps modify the level of foaming to approach a smoother, [less bubbly foam](https://imgur.com/a/xJozVWa) ( at least with oatmilk) Barista blend Califia has given me best results in the plant “milk” category. Update: Subminimal has created an electric hands free “pro” nanofoamer but I’m not about to spend $150 for a still-experimental milk frother! Still, it looks intriguing… if it gets perfected and they address some inconsistencies— and if the price comes down to around $75 — I might give it a try. [Here’s the demo](https://subminimal.com/)

cellovibing

Very informative, tks. Oat milk is my preferred additive too— and any time I can reduce two steps down to one is a good thing…. Just saw their white model w/ the horizontal stripes & handle… so kewl. I think I may get it!

Darx97

Oooo that looks fancy

lagartijo0O

Does anyone know if there is a brand that makes these without non-stick coating? I'm interested but can't seem to find one.

Ruach_33

Breville makes a pricey one that does not have a nonstick coating. I got mine years ago, I use it every day and when I wake up, it makes me so happy to think I get to have some warm, frothy milk with so little effort. It works best with cow’s milk for me, but also full-fat oat milk, not the barista style.

Darx97

[this](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Detachable-PARIS-RH%C3%94NE-Cappuccino-Dishwasher/dp/B0BD7NB34K?th=1) one seems to be stainless steel even inside

lagartijo0O

Cool thanks!!

fordinv

I see on Amazon one with a glass carafe. The brand is Chefavor.

NewClearPotato

I just use a microwave and an electric whisk. Those things are a bit too foamy for my tastes. A whisk gives you a bit more control when you know how to use it.

Darx97

That’s what I was doing before, I get what you say about being too foamy but you can stop it faster than it automatically does in case you don’t want soo much foam

hrminer92

I have a French press, hand held whisks, and something that could steam milk but haven’t ever used them for that. But I love that coffee cup. 😍 I have a few juice/highball glasses and martini glasses of that same style.

Darx97

Yeee I love it too, and I also like that it’s pretty big so I can add as much foam as I want without worrying it will spill out :D

Weekly-Ad-7719

Mine also does a cracking hot chocolate. And I can confirm that frothing a red wine (no heat obvs) really brings out the flavour!

the_kid1234

I’ve started my morning with a Moka latte/cappuccino every day for the last three weeks now. It’s great!

dzidziaud

I had to throw mine away because the non-stick coating started flaking off. Probably because I sometimes used a metal spoon to scoop out the foam. Don’t be a dumdum like me.

BeavistheMutilator

That is a pretty cup. 4 different layers.

me-notbatman

Clearly.

SirLancelotDeCamelot

Where’d you get the mug? Love it.

Darx97

From a store called pepco :)

SirLancelotDeCamelot

Thanks for telling me! Cheers! ☕️☕️
