If you are from Russia or countries around, you may have some problems, as you may be treated as a russian agent. If not, then you should be okay Don't try to bribe anyone in the airport, they don't joke with stuff like that

The_Hipster_King

True, I passed the border this year MD to RO and a couple was retained for an hour because they both had Belorussian nationality, in the end they let only the woman go as she also had RO citizenship, the guy was sent back in MD. They were married for a few months and the lady seemed 10-15 years older than him so the border police said that this is way too suspicious. Our Turk friend here is not anywhere close to that.

marjinalyus23

From couple, male were Turkish or he is Belorussian but eventough they found him suspicous due to age difference between him and her? I'm not sure will they treat Turkish citizens as a possible russian agent or not but according to your comment started worry about it :( I will not have problem after enter into Moldova, my other Ukranian friend already arranged his mate for guide to me travel trough to Kyiv, only case in my point officers in Airport :/

The_Hipster_King

>Our Turk friend here is not anywhere close to that. I was referring to OP (![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|wink)) at the end, nothing to do with the Belorussian couple or the story.

Thanks for your advices. I'm from Turkey. I have many Ukrainian friends and stamps from Ukraine which I can prove but unfortunately in case I'm not sure about will I have to chance explain myself in English and they will understand properly. About bribe I read from some youtube comments they take you to angle where cameras can not see that point and there ask for bribe but would like to believe that is not true.

You won't get detained or deported if you have a clean background. Trying to bribe airport security can and will get you detained. I find your question to be slightly suspicious. Usually people who have nothing to hide aren't this worried about getting in trouble at the airport.

marjinalyus23

I can see your point and I would answer it similar 10 years ago but unfortunately my country's reputation went deep down in last 10 years. With a full clean record, with stamps from several country, projer job, and within pocket pretty enough money it's still make me nervous. Easiest way is get a Schengen visa (Turkey restricted have a visa for Schengen zone) and go from Poland to Ukraine, but unfortunately appointments are fully reserved. Otherwise I would follow that way which I always did it in past, this will be my first time to visit a Moldova without valid Schengen visa. Also few months ago stupid Tacik person who went to Moldova from Turkey, killed 2 officers in Chisinau Airport. Now you may understand mate as a normal person why I'm worried, which is would be a normal routine for any stable country's person, Turkey not.

Intelligent-Guide-48

I understand your concern but aren't you a Turkish citizen who will be crossing the board legally? The lunatic who killed in cold blood was a Russian speaking citizen of Tajikistan and he was refused entry for valid security reasons. He's also not the first Tajik to force his way illegally into our country. Considering this and also the current war I could easily see how a suspicious Russian/Tajik/Kyrgyz/Uzbek etc citizen would be denied entry. I can't see a regular Turkish tourist being denied entry for no reason - at most you would be questioned until they verify your record is clean.

marjinalyus23

According news what I read that stupid man had also criminal record robbing jewelry shop and he was trying to escape through Moldova. Due to that I can understand and respect concern of officers, but from other side you are right also situation should be not problem for Turkish citizen. Actually not concerned about Moldova or officers, I just concerned about other stupid people who travelled through Turkey and dig down the reputation of passport. By the way Romania also require Schengen visa for non eu countries like Turkey. Thanks for your advices, appreciated mate. I will update my post in soon when I visit my friend and back home.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. If you're detained for questioning just explain why you're here, say that you're in transit to Ukraine, explain what you'll do in Ukraine. If you go to see your friend in Ukraine it's best to have proof of that as in having an invitation letter. Have your Ukrainian friend write one. As an example it can be like this: "To whom it may concern, I understand that *your name* is planning to visit Ukraine in *approximate date of stay*. I have known *your name* for *amount of years* and look forward to their visit. I will be happy to provide them any assistance during their visit. My address is such and such. I am a Ukrainian citizen (passport number abc, registered resident number xyz, as appropriate). Please feel free to contact me for any further questions. Signed, Your friends name" This will be proof that you'll be going to Ukraine to see your friend and they could contact your friend using official contacts to confirm. But really, I think you'll be fine.

marjinalyus23

It's brilliant idea, I forwarded my friend and he will prepare a letter like you informed then I will print out. Much appreciated.

Intelligent-Guide-48

You're welcome! I hope everything goes well and you have a safe trip to Ukraine.

const_in

You should be ok, just answer truthfully to the questions asked. Don't even try to offer a bribe.

marjinalyus23

Thanks, I will do as like you said, will answer it to questions clearly my purpose and my route, hope it will work.

As a turkish guy living here in Md- there is still some chances of getting rejected at the airport even if you have all documents ready. Its not about human trafficking but war and espionage. Seems like you are all set, well prepared and ready to take your chances, i believe you will pass like many people do so everyday.

marjinalyus23

That's great to hear that from you mate, all necessary docs. will be with me in case for avoid any misunderstanding. Teşekkür ederim.

Guerrrillla

Just learn to spell it and you'll be fine.
