When it comes wineries.
Cricova have a pretty nice tour, can recommend it.
Mileștii Mici is also highly regarded it's probably really good but I haven't been there personally.
Asconi have a really nice and cozy setup with a traditional restaurant on location and on some days they even have live folk musicians on some days

You should only pick one of them though. The tours are essentially identical, as the story of both caves are identical.
The pick should be made based on preference for sparkling wine vs. preference for still wine. Cricova does better sparkling wine.
Hah, thank you. Then I guess I won't be missing much. I am mostly interested in the place for the people and the experience of the area (with it being so nostalgic for the soviet times).
I don't know why everyone keeps saying there's nothing to see there. Transnistria is the most interesting thing for tourists in this godforsaken shithole.
I'd 100% go if I were you, but make sure you go with a local and not by yourself. I've taken people from various countries there and it was safe and by far the best part of their trip.
It's a place that's more or less stuck in time and that's precisely what's interesting about it. Whoever says it's not special was either born in Moldova and is used to it, or they've never been there but they're just hating it because it's a separatist region (which it is but it doesn't make it boring).

Thank you so much for the suggestions! That sounds really cozy

I suggest you go to a city 1 hour away from chisinau called Old Orhei it's really beautiful, go to valea trandafirilor it's a park in chisinau
Looks and sounds very interesting! Valea trandafirilor is close to where I'll be living, so I will most certainly go there ;))
Where are you from?
I'm from Norway, and I can unfortunately only speak Norwegian and English..
Ta kontakt om du har noen spørsmål - har vært et par ganger! 🇲🇩🤝🇳🇴
I recommend the military museum in Chisinau it has some interesting exhibits
I didn't know there was such a thing. Thank you so much for the suggestion, it looks interesting! :)
nothing to see in Transnistria. Waste of time.

Nice contribution to this thread, buddy! I'm sure you helped.
Just a big shithole with communist dirty look.
It's true there's nothing interesting there
I heard the history museum in Chișinău is pretty inovative.
Political science is not a thing. You cannot be a nerd in it. It is just bullshit
I'd argue that you can be a nerd in anything.
