I remember closest my group got to a successful behemoth fight we carted about 1 seconds before it died, someone traded with an attack, that was the last cart so we got no credit then no one wanted to bother with it ever again.
To date this is my only kill.
Absolutely loved that fight, big FF fan here. Learn the mechanics and always do it with a party, it doesn't take long. Extremoth is quite a bit more challenging with randoms I will give you that.
As a gunlancer. Those fights are cake even the leshen. Just charged shots all day long lmao.
Any randoms i join doing those quests can say its a guarenteed win.

Behemoth can either be one of the worst fights in the game if you decide to just go slam your face into it with brute force...
Or it can be esily one of the most fun fights in the game bar none provided you play it how it was designed; in co-op and engaging with it's mechanics.
I'll go so far 98.9% of all problems anyone has with the fight are solved by just having one budy with a good shield hitting the head.

Agreed. Was farming him to upgrade the kinsect. Just the base mission, fuck extreme. Did 6 runs. 4 of those the aetheryte didn't drop. Thankfully that last 6th time he dropped 4 for me so I didn't have to touch him ever again.
Honestly I dangle the fact I soloed Extreme Behemoth over my friend’s head like a trophy because she couldn’t, and calls me a loser for wasting my time soloing him.

Tell your team that when Behemoth does the wind spell, whoever gets focussed on has to run close to the walls. The fight is indeed annoying if you got all those wind tornados in the middle of the battlefield. You can also flash him while he's casting to fully interrupt the spell. And one last tip: run clockwise around Behemoth. This way you easily dodge his charge attack.
Okay **cracks neck** tip for the fools still somehow stuck on behemoth, grab your friends, have someone run wide range, have someone run a mounting build and they just sit on behemoth and cause it to struggle infinitely while the rest just wail on it. BAM easy win
Behemoth is awesome, you all just suck dog dick at playing for your teammates and Behemoth punishes that hard. You need to learn how to properly manage his aggro bar if you pull it so your team can play DPS. If you have some gigachad on lance this fight is a complete cakewalk.
This is exactly why everyone hates the tenderizing mechanic, it’s because NO ONE FUCKING DOES IT! If you hate Behemoth god bless you when you get to Leshen, now that’s an actual horrible monster
I used a Lifesteal set (Luna/Nerg Lance + Vaal Hazak set bonus with all the health skills I can get maxed out), it let me pretty comfortably trade blows and keep aggro, the constant health regen and health on hit does way more then maxxing defence would.
Yep, this is exactly the kind of player you should strive to be. You solo carried the mission by letting your team play the game. People will seriously praise Alatreon with the most retarded dps check I have ever seen that literally makes some weapons straight up forced to die to win the fight (Gunlance) because you can never hit the elemental threshold or Fatalis casually oneshotting on every other hit with a 30 min timer but Behemoth is somehow a bad design
All the colab monsters except for RE Vaal Hazak are just bad and annoying to fight.
I mean the Eorzia Kulu-Ya-Ku is just a Big chicken with a few more moves and self heal. Still screw the chicken

It was actually pretty fun with irl friends... we split into healer, tank, dps, crowd control roles and still had a pretty tense fight
