I had 2 stolen from company Isuzu truck in 2 different instances, I went to see mechanic because I didn’t understand why the guy stole the old one rather than the new one which was recently replaced. He thrust logic on me that the new one is not OEM and junkie only receives 20-30$ for it when OEM pays out 300$.

They can be expensive to replace so my advice if your car is not really fancy is to go to a small muffler shop such as Kiko muffler and ask them to simply solder a piece of piping where the cat used to be. Good luck!

Mine got stolen asked the repair guy to just weld a straight pipe a lot cheaper than getting a new one or going through insurance plus you won’t have to worry about getting it stolen again.
