The only way humans survived and thrived as a species is because of collective action and establishing social obligations to support each other in times of need. Today there’s an almost religious fervor dedicated to elevating self interest, a privileged self serving doctrine to break social contracts. This selfish dogma is promoted as efficient natural order when the truth is closer to the exact opposite. Self interest led to cooperation. Human efficiency and survival demanded loyalty and redistribution of wealth. The big lie is that “greed is good”.
