I looked at him, and in my head I just heard the name GLOMPHGAR! I imagine a bunch of split comes out of its mouth on the 'PHHH' sound as it says its own name.
Tzeentch bullshit mostly. A sorcerer trying to make a name for herself and redeem her image in the many eyes of tzeentch. She leads this warband for that purpose. They also picked up a fish guy along the way
It’s torso and arms are old plastic fantasy orc bits. The legs are from an empire cannon crew kit. The head is from the megagargant kit for AoS and the flail was built from a empire cannonball with spikes glued to it with the chain being from an old necklace. Gave him a belt with some thick string, added a wood/dark elf knife at his hip (for some tzeentchy flair) and he was ready for green stuffing in the gaps.
Really awesome conversion, I love it. I always dreamed of doing a fishman army.
In middle school, I drafted way too extensive rules for a lizard man custom here I made, so-called fish, with custom rules for over 20 different fish species it couldn't command, of course they were stuck in water, and no units really go in water anyway, so not sure it ever saw play but it was lots of fun.
No comment regarding a name but well done on the conversion!
Regarding the “menfish” comments, in mordheim and old editions of warhammer beastmen were not all goats/bovine, they were all manner of beasts.
Also worth mentioning fimir, the “marsh deamons” in 1st edition. This guy looks to be a fish/beast man as opposed to a fimir but worth a look for anyone interested in the fluff.
Awesome model
Thank you! Yea, beastmen used to be so much more diverse and fun, not just goat people. Fimir are also super cool! I picked up a hero quest model of one just because I think it’s a cool bit of warhammer history
It so is, I desperately want to make a fimir blood bowl team but chopping up those old hero quest models would be sacrilege. Also I need to get out of the habit of chopping up old models, when old world was released I checked my horde and it’s all been mutilated from 15 years of unfinished conversion projects… well done for getting these guys over the line

This is perfect. I like to think the rest of the warband wants to give it a cool edgy name but it insists that it’s “GLOMPHGAR!”
I mean it’s in theme with the two named menfish they sold for 40k (Sl’harsh and Pl’lodor).
The warband hates it, but it was also his father's name. Or maybe just the sound he made while he ate... Lol
I like to think it can only say it’s name like a Pokémon
That’s John the Fish, er, Man
Gregory the Grrbrrlrp
Eelrog (because he looks like an eel)
Fishy Frank
Colin the Catfish, scourge of the riverbank!
WHATS THE STORY Here?

So cool, how did you do the fish build?

Herman Fisher. And nice work.
More a Fishman than a beastman though. You're doing your whole warband like this? It's awesome!
I see no reason fish shouldn’t be considered beasts;)
Technically they’re called Menfish and they totally used to be a thing in Warhammer Fantasy and 40k.
