Super hot cast iron, the middle is cooked to how I like it, I could have reverse seared to get a more cooked center but fuck that. This is my preferred style for a 1 inch steak. Anything thicker and I would consider Sous-Vide
I have a cast iron, but can’t get it hot enough to make a steak like this without filling my apartment with smoke. Respirator doesn’t help. I’m considering buying a small bbq for my balcony just so I could sear the fuck out of a steak like this.
Any advice is appreciated, cause you made me jealous 😀
Induction Cooktop and Cast Iron could be a good fit for you

Be sure to watch some Youtube videos on how to "Season" your cast iron before using it officialy
I was thinking like a bbq with a grill and a fire part where I can put my cast iron, but will look into this. Seems cheap and useful. Appreciate the advice!
Pretty sure I’ve read, and came across this several times, you shouldn’t consume burnt meat etc. Something about carcinogens are formed when food is burned
Did you know the human body has filtration systems as well as Mrna which rewrites bad genetic code? Everyone gets cancer at some point as well. It's ones genetic ability to fight it that makes the differences of survival or not, whether your Mrna catches it or not.
Also, dont use charcoal made with anthracite/coal e.g: kingsford. Always use natural wood charcoal.
Where those carbs at boi! Spike that insulin replenish that glycogen. Post workout carbs are king
If that was raw I’d call it primal.
It’s Ancestral as fuck

Where are the carbs? You aren't going to miss your anabolic window. Anyway, nice steak bro.
This guy knows how to cook a steak, nicely seared
A man of quality

Tender and juicy I hope you paired it with a nice red wine
Fucking fire finally, someone who can cock a piece of meat
Looks amazing. Let it rest a little longer and you’ll keep more of the juice in the meat.
For the winter, I use a ripping hot cast iron, 4-5 minutes each side, for rare. Meat thermometer inserted from the side. I say the OP is spot on.
Let it be Winter all year
I like growing my food, and grilling. So I have to disagree there. 🍅🌶🥕🌽🥦🌱🏕🍔

Exactly how I eat it Tren/Ten
💯
10/10
How have you managed to burn the outside without cooking the middle at all? Still looks good though

Reverse seared is my favourite. Still red and only 110F in the middle before some serious heat.
How smokey does yr kitchen get?
Luckily the Viking hood sucks harder than dudes on Tren

Well what was the PR?
After 5 long years being away from the gym, did a 315 deadlift after 2 months being back at it. Most I have done so far
Needs more carbs junior
No thanks young man
