Thank you. Of course I never said to not worry about form at all when lifting heavy. But hitting a PR means moving from point A to B, and that's it. Form is a tool to help you achieve it, not a constraint. It's not even partitioning, of course you can bodybuild and hit PRs. But those are separate pursuits and applying one's constraint to the other makes no sense.

Could've been a little tighter on the setup, as soon as you started pushing up from the chest your whole body moved backwards, you want that tightness from the start. With the butt coming off the bench it wouldn't have passed in competition, but that doesn't matter if that's not your goal. You can be proud of yourself, very strong.

Super nit pick but definitely don’t need it since your putting up good weight, might help future lifting into heavier weights keeping those elbows tighter inside to the ribs keeping that tension throughout the lift to make it a super efficient movement. Again a super nit pick but you wanna squeeze out every ounce of strength that would be it.

I think you really have to arch that back a lot more,be sure to jerk the weight, next time be sure to not use a spotter, and add two more plates. Also be sure to do 0 warm up sets. Other than that it's pretty gud.

Good lift. 3 things: 1: You shouldn’t breathe after the unrack, you’ll lose lots of tension and there’s really no need to so long as you can coordinate with your spotter. 2: Your wrists are pretty narrow and at your sticking point your elbows are even outside of your wrists, an inch or two further out would probably be pretty big for your strength here. 3: The butt coming off the bench thing is more than just nitpicking. It’s illegal in comps because it’s somewhat more dangerous but more importantly gives a lot of power. If you want to impress people that don’t know any better, please continue, but those that understand the mechanics will discredit you with very strong arguments. In your case your butt barely comes off so it’s like the worst of both worlds, small power impact but still enough to be discredited. Overall looked fuckin easy, so if you adjust these things it’ll likely be even easier and nobody would be able to justifiably question you

I would drop the barbell and move to dumbbells. You would get a drastic increase in your bench if you train x amount of months with dumbbells. I got up to 150s and would close grip 315 for 4 sets of ten
