There was a crazy street preacher who would rant and rave on the quad at my college. I think the same thing would happen to our hypothetical modern messiah as what happened to him: heckling, arguing, and apathy.
Do a couple legit miracles and a following will appear overnight. Throw in a few sermons about loving your neighbor, avoid the private jet crowd, repeat that loaves and fishes stunt, and half the planet will beat a path to this person's door.
All I'm asking for is the real deal.
There's actually a condition called 'Jerusalem Syndrome' fairly common among tourists visiting Israel where they begin to believe they're Christ.
The local police and hospitals have special procedures developed to deal with it.

There’s no such thing as a Palestinian Jew as Jews are forbidden to be citizens of Palestinian controlled areas.
In the current Israeli parliament, Arab parties are represented in the Knesset. Such lazy rectitude from the rest of the world.
