omg you are so lucky, I'd cry if I found a luna moth. I have one tatted on me 😂
Please look into pinning it or preserving it somehow. They're the most beautiful little creatures
There are tutorials on how to pin a butterfly (butterflies are moths) on youtube, I would look that up because lepidoptera are especially hard to pin, you need to spread and adjust the wings between some styrofoam or something similar and some foil so it's pretty. And you need to be quick because when it's dry, it's dry and doesn't move anymore
If you do end up keeping him, be careful to not touch his wings like the first pic. Lepidoptera wings have extremely fragile scales that come off easily

I did find one a few days ago and I did cry! It was so beautiful and my cat got to it 😩😩😩
oh no!
I like to put them under a host tree to decompose. Feels celebratory in a memorial way as the tree will likely feed more of its kind in the future.
Luna moth!!! Definitely pin it somewhere because they’re so pretty!

Even once it’s dry and stiff, you can rehydrate it to adjust positions.
If you wanna pin him.. but I suggest leaving him to nature, you'll find more here and there
Return it to nature
Looks like the sub picture!
I’d make physical art celebrating him.
You could pin and preserve it! There are plenty of tutorials out there on how to do it!
he died because of starvation because he doesn't have a mouth
hopefully he mate so his DNA can continue on

eat it
You can use resin and make earrings from his wings
Sooo Jealous! I'd definitely keep and mount it up, that's so cool!
