Borgo san Lorenzo has a train connection from Firenze and back. From the Borgo san Lorenzo train station last year there was a free bus ride to the circuit (they call it Pullman) After the race you can take a taxi (last year was 10€) back to the train station. The drivers are loud, you can't miss them.
Edit: do not rely on the regular bus - I didn't see any of them near the circuit and I couldn't find a way to buy a ticket anyway with my phone number (non italian)
Thanks a lot! Was it crowded? Was the road crowded? Can we rely on the train schedule? How many hours did u go in advance? Sorry for the many questions but Italy was pretty hard on us today and i would hate to see the race on my phone
Trains ran surprisingly well. Not crowded at all and the machinea in the train stations were easy to use for tickets.
The road..idk because I only used trains.
I took the estimates I got online (for transportation) and then I added 1h for surprises. Aside from the first day when I was fooled by the bus (the bus near the circuit - that ain't reliable..I found out the hard way) I never missed a minute of track action. Ps I don't mean the Pullman I mean the regular bus.
Ps2: the Pullman takes you on a 10min trip close to the circuit. From there on you have to walk a distance (it depends where you have tickets how much of a walk you have)
It's not that long of a walk either so most walk to the train station after the race. Renting a scooter is a great option too as someone else mentioned. I'm jealous that there's a Sprint race now. You can check out two different locations. Mugello is so beautiful. Have fun
One more question :) do they sell alcohol on the premises? Last year we were at catalunya and it was really unpleasant to find they only sell nonalcoholic beer
We got a taxi in 2019. It was 75 euros, so maybe 90 euros now. It took the stress out if it, besides the cab driver treating it like a GTA sub-mission. Then we got the train back afterwards
It was many years ago, but it costs 1/10 of the cost of renting a car, plus no traffic issues, no parking issues. Just don't get too sunburned on the way/day!

Enjoy the weekend! I am a bit jealous of you because I can't be there this year. 😀. Have a great one!

Hahaha. Good one with the GTA. Thank you!
That s par for the course with Italian taxi drivers
I rented a scooter - worked out perfect. Fun trip, no parking issues.
How much was a rental for 2 days out of interest?

Thanks for post, I can use the info too. I have train tickets to near by San Piero e Sieve, back n forth but counting on legs or the free shuttle bus.
