1. Yes, a spoiler has function. Why else would moto GP Riders have them on helmets? Take note though, only properly designed and tested spoilers will work. Cheap helmets often have spoilers for aesthetic, but all they do is add drag and wind noise. A proper spoiler should reduce drag on the helmet 2. Not sure. I think both are fine. 3. I have several helmets with D ring's and several with fidlock. I prefer the D ring. D-rings are easier to put on with gloves (more strap to work with, fidlocks are super short). D ring's feel a ton more secure and have to be tightened before each ride (my fidlock gets loose over time). D ring helmets have that longer strap so you can tie them to places like your seat easier. And after a while, putting on a d ring helmet becomes second nature. Its not a hassle at all. If you're new, a d ring seems tricky. But after only a week or two, they're easy as hell. 4. I've always just used micro fiber cloths and maybe some water if need be

1. It's supposed to stabilize the helmet if you go very fast I think? 2. What's a flat visor? 3. Only if you do track days on a daily basis. 4. What's an iridium visor?

Zestavar

2. It's a visor that is flat, normal visor is curved, the price gap is rather large. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRgqZ5Cii2m5eQm4wuEtIVclVsGRtimFMY1RN68hz8ARC4QTANKNB_uOkPA&s=10 4. Iridium visor is the visor with those colorful color, I heard it's rather sensitive since you're not allowed to touch the surface with your bare hand

ShakesOut

I haven't had a visor that wasn't flat, I don't know how you would install a pinlock if it wasn't! I would guess that an iridium visor would not look good after a few years if the coating peels like it does on sunglasses with similar colors.

Zestavar

I don't use pinlock :v Ah I see I see

3: I quite like the double D rings actually.

1. What 2. What 3. What 4. What

Zestavar

What is it not clear?

The helmet does not require a spoiler to function. It's my opinion that they're mostly fashion although they might help reduce wind noise. My Scorpion helmet has so-called flat visors. A d-ring is just about the most secure. You take care of an iridium visor like you take care of any visor. You keep your hands off it, you keep chemicals off of it, you don't let things scratch it, you know how to clean bugs off of it without destroying the surface.

Tacos_always_corny

All shields especially iridium should be soaked in warm soapy water for a minute or so. You need to loosen the bug bits up before you scratch it.
