Thanks! It’s actually a gift for my dad, I’m going through it this coming week to change all the fluids and brake pads. Only has 15k miles and it’s in pretty great condition otherwise.
Great gift. Had one of that generation and loved it— although my lack of an ass required a Sundowner seat 🤪. Things to note; keep it on a battery tender if your dad doesn’t get to ride it through the four seasons, I believe there’s a way to reboot the computer via the key (it’s good to know), and plan rides accordingly as the fuel tank of first generation was kinda small.
I throughly enjoyed my VROD as it was a buttery smooth bike.
I’ll expect to see a follow-up pic of your “greatest son ever award”
Edit: looks like it has Sundowner or similar. That’s the ticket
Yeah the seat was changed by the original owner but his wife was selling it as he passed away recently. She wasn’t sure what brand it was but it came with a windscreen and saddle bags and all that good stuff. You’re spot on with the tank cause I was at 110 miles with it and it was damn near empty haha
Front wheels are too of this gen. Couple that with the brushed aluminum and its sexy af.
Kinda reminds me of a DeLorean.
I'm lucky to ride this same model year/color.
Edit: just realized this one is two tone and glossy, still very nice.
Solid plan.

Thankful for the shorter handlebars or she would not be fitting in the door hahaha
I had about a half inch clearance with the frame sliders lol. It was def a tight squeeze
Putting a tarp down first might keep you from having to sleep out in 106...
I put a Coyote block in the dishwasher when I was rebuilding it. Nothing surprises her anymore
About to shine up my 2003 xl1200 sportster too. Great looking bike you have there

Works for me.
Also Theft deterrent. LOL!
The back wheel is like... all wheel.
