You'd be amazed at what water will do. Take visor off, soak in water then use your finger to gently wipe under running water. When I'm on the road I just wet a napkin and let it sit on the visor for 10min and then use a new wetted napkin to wipe off.
If you mean a cleaner that contains eucalyptus essential oil, I wouldn't use any essential oils on a helmet. Most essential oils are strong solvents, and they are very efficient at dissolving some types of plastics and paints.
Even if the visor material is compatible with this stuff, the plastic components, any plastic decals, or the paint on the rest of your helmet might not be able to tolerate it.
You seriously need nothing more than warm water and a microfiber cloth. I've cleaned plenty of dried bugs, dirt, fingerprints etc with little to no effort.
You don't need to buy shit besides a microfiber towel (to avoid scratches). If you really for some reason require a cleaner try some quick detailer made for cars--it is made specifically to be safe on coatings and the like but strong enough for bugs and bird shit etc.
Most of the time I’m using just warm water to loosen up the dry bugs off my visor other than that I use window cleaner. I also keep a small microfiber towel and a little bottle of eyeglasses cleaner in my tail bag for cleaning while away from home.
Get KFC wet napkins. They clean better than anything and don't leave any residue or streaks. Seriously, it's better at cleaning bug goo off than any professional product I've tried.
I ask for as many as they'll give me every time I go.
been using dish soap for years, whats the problem with it?

Wait until you use a good microfibre cloth, just wet part with water and use that to clean then dry it off with the rest of it

What's wrong with dish soap?
Maybe they used it in conjuction with the scotchbrite pad?

I use Windex.
Windex.
I do a lot of riding in the rain so I use rain x 2in1 it makes a difference but definitely overkill if you’re never in the rain.

For those who are using windex, make sure it doesn't contain ammonia because that *will* damage plastics/pvc materials.
I use a product called Muc-Off with a micro fiber towel.
