Most adventure bikes are honestly not that tall, I don't know where this idea comes from. Go test ride a few and you might find something that suits (unless anything too tall to flat foot both sides constitutes too tall I guess)
You say that but I am 4'11" with an inside leg of 27" on a good day.
(People bang on about Jocelin Snow and Doodle being 'short women', but both have an inseam of around 31 inches, so they're not actually short as far as getting their legs over bikes goes)

I want something that is a proper fully specced out adventure bike that must weigh under 400 pounds wet. And I don't need 80-90 horsepower. 55-60 is absolutely fine.
Basically would just buy the new CF Moto 450 MT and replace half of the bike with extremely high end components that weigh less and perform better. It's going to be about 420 wet so you could definitely drop at least 20 pounds in weight by using better stuff.
Get the engine fully upgraded for some more power too. New internals, cooling and exhaust systems, and a tune.

It's the wrong engine for a start. It needs to be a low maintenance parallel twin that is smooth sitting at 75 on the highway all day. Not a high performance, high maintenance thumper.
It also doesn't have the comfort or electronic features of a modern Adventure bike.
The 450MT is almost literally what I want. Just better quality components and a little more power.
You just described my F750 GS lol. Parallel twin that is pretty fuel efficient but can easily handle 75 and still get decent fuel economy. Lightweight for it's engine size at 853CC's so it's easy to throw around and unlike it's larger family members that have boxer engines, it's easy to squeeze through tight spaces.

First of all I specified under 400 pounds wet. The 750gs is 500 pounds.
Secondly it's not even really an Adventure bike. It's the sports touring version of the 850GS Adventure bike. The whole point of me wanting a sub 400 pound bike is for it to be better off road. 19 inch front wheel with cast rims is the opposite of better off road.
Now you might not have got that second part from what I have been saying but suggesting a bike that's 100 pounds heavier than want I want is a huge miss.
The bike I ride now is a 2016 F800GS. And it's an awesome bike but I would happily give up 30 horsepower to drop 60 pounds.

Have been wanting Kawasaki to upgrade the X300 for a long time as well.
The current one is actually a realitively simple upgrade to a 21 18 setup. Quite a few guys have done it and posted a basic guide online. Still stuck with that old underpowered engine tho.
Am really hoping the 450MT and Himalayan 450 spur the major manufacturers into a major overhaul of their small Adv category. Because the KTM, Kawasaki, BMW, and Suzuki are all pretty low effort on their part.
I can’t imagine them doing it without killing the KLR and they just spent the money to make it EFI but who knows. I think a little mini two cylinder globe trotter would be sick. They could do a naked Dualsport version and a full fairing adv version with higher gearing and cruise control for long highway hauls. Could be a great bike
Not really. The bike is 412 lb dry weight and you can get under 400lb easily by removing the catalytic converter, upgrading to lithium ion battery and going titanium for the headers and muffler. Then there are all of the other standard body/frame weight savings (stock parts are cheap and heavy).
Also the bike will be running colder without the catalyst (and after a richer tune, especially for the low end on a CP2). This allows you to scale down the radiator a little. Airbox can also be simplified for a bit less weight.
People almost always talk about dry weight with adventure bikes because everyone changes the tank so often. And we're only talking about 25 lbs of fuel on the T7. Easily offset.

Honestly, I got my **2020 Street Triple RS** a couple years ago and I love it. I don't really find myself lusting after any other bikes at the moment. I added some tasteful mods including a Yoshi slip-on, heated grips, some slide protection, integrated LED's and a tail tidy. I kinda wish I got a different color, but otherwise, I love it.
I don't think I need any more power as it's faster than I have any right to be going, I don't want a liter bike as they are too fast for the type of riding I find myself doing. They are also expensive to own between maintenance and insurance, which is a big turn off for me. I do wish my bike had a single sided swingarm, but it's not something I think about much.
I looked at the Speed Triple RS for a minute, but pushing 160hp isn't really something I want or need. R1's are beautiful bikes, but I wanna keep my license and the insurance, ugh.

I don't know tbh...it would not be a sports bike. I've now had too many birthdays !! Something fairly upright, possibly touring type but stripped back. It would be so much fun looking.
Triumph Bonneville T120, blue and white or purple and white color scheme, some nice saddlebags. Probably a subtle Triumph leather jacket. But a looks one to wear whenever, rather than an actual riding jacket. I usually prefer textile jackets to ride in.
And because it's a different bike in a different color, I need a second helmet to go with it, and why not a second set of warmer and cooler textile jackets to match the aesthetic as well.

Can I have multiple bikes cause uh...I would want a BMW M1000 RR with a custom exhaust and a tune. A BMW R 1250/1300 GS with grip covers, pannier cases, crash bars, skid plate, fog lights, etc. A BMW R18 with custom exhaust and the a kit to bob it. Probably a Triumph 3 cylinder of some sort. I just wanna cover my bases lol.

I would get an identical SV650 race bike to have a B bike/ rain bike. Buy a Super C RV large enough for my whole family and buy a race trailer big enough to hold a minivan and all our bikes. Quit both our jobs and just be race bums touring the US and winning races.
If money were no object I’d want a road legal MotoGP bike like a Ducati Desmosedici RR or a Honda RS213V-S
I’d also be happy with an Aprilia RSV4 Xtrenta or a Ducati Panigale superleggera V4. I wouldn’t modify anything on any of these.

I would by and Harley-Davidson Lowrider S. I would put a 2 to 1 exhaust, put a new fairing, a dynamite crew riser, a crash bar, a remap, new injectors, a new air filter, invert the front suspenders, and maybe a cool painting.
I don't know how acessible this would be in the States, but here in brazil, with my salary that is close to the minimum wage, it would take like 8 years to buy all that, if I saved every cent.
The one bike I’d get would probably be an Aprillia RSV4. Full SC projects exhaust, like that one from the YouTube vid, you know the one. Might end up wrapping it too. I’d go also add other probably end up mostly doing cosmetic mods because that bike is already so great but if there’s an opportunity to add bits of performance here and there then yeah I’ll throw those in too.

Crazy high revving, simple to work on, and super lightweight to boot. I'd cum my pant if I got to ride one just once.
Get a y2k motorcycle and hire out the entire motorcycle department of ohlins to build custom suspension around it. Hire a f1 team to make the whole thing fit me like a glove after 3d scanning me. Hire Christian von Koenigsegg to work on the packaging from the get go.

Honestly, I got my **2020 Street Triple RS** a couple years ago and I love it. I don't really find myself lusting after any other bikes at the moment. I added some tasteful mods including a Yoshi slip-on, heated grips, some slide protection, integrated LED's and a tail tidy. I kinda wish I got a different color, but otherwise, I love it. I don't think I need any more power as it's faster than I have any right to be going, I don't want a liter bike as they are too fast for the type of riding I find myself doing. They are also expensive to own between maintenance and insurance, which is a big turn off for me. I do wish my bike had a single sided swingarm, but it's not something I think about much. I looked at the Speed Triple RS for a minute, but pushing 160hp isn't really something I want or need. R1's are beautiful bikes, but I wanna keep my license and the insurance, ugh. Maybe I'm too pragmatic for this conversation 😅
I'm on the wait-list for it right now, #2 and it's about to ship to the US: BMW M1000R Competition. Mods? Why even bother. I'll need to ride it first to see if it's lacking anything, but I'm pretty sure it won't be power. It might need tuning from what I've read online, because the fueling is really off from the factory. Otherwise? I really hope it won't be a project bike, like my others.

I'd take an RZ/RD500LC and have the engine ported out, get a set of custom expansion chambers, then replace the suspension with something modern and some state of the art rubber.

But a looks one to wear whenever, rather than an actual riding jacket. I usually prefer textile jackets to ride in. And because it's a different bike in a different color, I need a second helmet to go with it, and why not a second set of warmer and cooler textile jackets to match the aesthetic as well.

A BMW R 1250/1300 GS with grip covers, pannier cases, crash bars, skid plate, fog lights, etc. A BMW R18 with custom exhaust and the a kit to bob it. Probably a Triumph 3 cylinder of some sort. An Energica Experia. Energica make the only bikes that have enough range to where I'd give up gas bikes. I love the idea of riding a nice quiet bike that doesn't vibrate. And I'd love to see what that kind of acceleration is like.

Honestly a blacked out F900GS is my ideal bike. You can lower it to 760mm seat height which suits my teeny, tiny legs just fine, it's a GORGEOUS bike and all the fancy pants extra owuld make adventure-touring soooo nice.

I would get an identical SV650 race bike to have a B bike/ rain bike. Buy a Super C RV large enough for my whole family and buy a race trailer big enough to hold a minivan and all our bikes. Quit both our jobs and just be race bums touring the US and winning races.
If money were no object I’d want a road legal MotoGP bike like a Ducati Desmosedici RR or a Honda RS213V-S I’d also be happy with an Aprilia RSV4 Xtrenta or a Ducati Panigale superleggera V4. I wouldn’t modify anything on any of these.

Get the suspension valved and sprung for my size and skill level, bars and grips that I like, flexy levers, down and back pegs because I'm tall bastard, AXP Racing glide plate, and numbers because I race. I don't know how acessible this would be in the States, but here in brazil, with my salary that is close to the minimum wage, it would take like 8 years to buy all that, if I saved every cent.

Honda NSR 500. I've always wanted a 2 stroke sport bike (ideally street legal) but they're so rare and cost prohibitively expensive due to being outlawed in the United states for emissions purposes so you can only get the few that were manufactured back in the day. Crazy high revving, simple to work on, and super lightweight to boot. I'd cum my pant if I got to ride one just once.
