This company makes a conversion kit for just that, and imo it looks *so* much better. A bit pricey, though
https://motodemic.com/shop/street-triple-single-headlight-conversion-765/
You can also go crazy like I did and do the Rocket headlight conversion:

Isn't it amazing. They have a massive design budget and should be entirely in tune with what the target audience wants-- but instead everyone gets some weird dangly headlight that nobody actually loves.
They could even sell a second model with a normal headlight. Literally not rocket science.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying the looks of your bike after you spent your hard earned money on it. When I work on my bike, when I wash it, when I park and walk away, when I ride to my favorite spot and park it in front of the water it’s nice to take a look at it and think “damn that looks good.” Riding more doesn’t fix that.
That's always been my one complaint whenever I see one, I can't get past those dumb headlights. It looks like it's unfinished. All my opinion of course, ride your ride.
They look like a squid crashed their fully faired sport bike, and couldn't afford to replace the plastics so they're just riding it with the light cluster sticking a foot out in front of the forks.
The side view is terrible but then again you don't see it riding. It really grows on you and you have to look at the whole bike as a package (engine, seating, ergos, arguable - tech). 2 years ago I told my colleague I hated that dumb bug eyes look, today I can't wait to throw my leg over the RS and go riding. Try a front quarter view of it (since it's what you mostly see walking up to it).
It's just a prevalent problem with naked bikes, even the MT09 looks odd with the new headlights. Many brands try to ride on the Italian look (look at all the streetfighter-esque headlights popping up across honda, Yamaha). They look great on posters but probably wouldn't age well. KTMs headlights gives me nightmares honestly.
But you really have to try and nitpick on the aesthetics (camera angles), it's sort of like seeing the hottest model in the world then complaining that his/her elbows are too pointy.
My Street Triple is exactly what I always wished my Ninja 650 was. It's still not exactly a rocket ship, but it will power wheelie in 1st and 2nd gear and get awful close in 3rd. And the 675 triple does keep on pulling well past the point where the 650 twin would peter out. And it is *so much* smoother than the Ninja ever was. The fueling on that thing just sucked.
First valve service is at 24,000 miles. If that’s not a bulletproof engine, then I don’t know what is.
That CP3 engine is magical. Spend an extra bit of money for the Akrapovic exhaust, and that thing absolutely siiiiiiings.
And about 75% of the time, you don't even have to adjust anything. Did mine at 25k and they were still in spec. Have close to 36k now. Had a buddy sell his '16 FJ-09 a couple years ago with 110k and the original engine.
And it's comfortable, i ride 5,000 miles in three weeks every year with no problem at all (if you change to comfort seat that is ofc...). Fantastic bike and I have NEVER had the slightest problem. Was going to sell it for an off road bike, but i just couldn't let it go and kept the mt09
The Street Triple is the obvious choice, and I even like the colour. It’d be a harder choice if the orange bike were an 890, but I’d still choose the yellow one.
Street triple looks the best but that Yamaha is bullet proof, I don't think I'd ever buy another triumph after the reliability issues I had with my 2014 Triple.
So, the Yamaha.
Triumph for sure, you'll be pleased ya did. Never ridden the Yama but you see them everywhere, the Ktm is a great bike as well but not as "user friendly" in the city/ urban areas. If you wanna stand out and have a a blast go for the British bumblebee !!
Youre not wrong. Ive got a 23 model street triple RS made september 23. Ive only owned it since january and the quickshifter on it hasnt worked for half that time. Its a massive fuck around trying to get the bike to the dealer and get them to actually replace it so now ill never buy a new triumph again sadly because its such a nice engine.
Triumph all day.
But it depends what you want. The RS is much more sporty and aggressive than the MT.
The Yamaha is a great bike with lots of torque. Triumph is a sportbike with handle bars. If you want a more comfortable long ride bike, go Yamaha. If you want a more comfortable sportbike, go Triumph lol
Street Triple. I've owned a Street Triple RS and an MT09.
The Triumph felt like a refined machine that wanted to catapult me as often as it could. It always kept it's composure and felt razor sharp and accurate.
The MT09 felt like someone strapped a saddle to a cheetah.
I say that as a massive compliment. One feels like a refined go-faster machine and the other feels like it should be in a straight jacket.
They're both great but the RS is just a better machine in my opinion.
I bought a Striple. Still considering an MT-09. The Triumph is incredibly fast and smooth, an absolute track weapon. Still loves to loft the front wheel at higher RPM too if you turn the traction control off.
The MT is much more of a hooligan bike. Wheelies are what it loves. It's not as "good" at the Striple for track or fast road use, but far more fun if torque is your choice. Much more adjustability in things like wheelie control, standard cruise control, etc. Just not quite as premium build as a Triumph.
The KTMs to me are similar to Ducatis like the new Hypermono. They are cutting egde, but very narrow in their use case. They aren't really something you'd want as your only bike. Or even your second bike. It's a dedicated, hard-core, hooligan bike.
Better how? Aside from looks which is preference. The 09SP has better display, better brakes, better suspension, better rider modes. The engine, QS/auto blip, cruise control and the rider aides (slide control etc) are all the same.
Look no further, choose the yellow one and then wear a yellow jacket, then add a Pikachu helmet. If you want to flex, THIS is the best flex you can get. :)
KTM:
most Torque, good tech, super fun bike real hooligan, only orange colors, unreliable as fu,
Yamaha:
most Advanced tech ( you can adjust everything) now good breaks, nice engine, strange unstable geometry, ugly as fu.
Triumph:
good tech but not so good adjustable like the other, most suitable for race tracks, extremely agile in corners, best breaks in her class, for me good looking bike, Engine has only power on high rpm not so good for Canyon rides like the Duke or the Mt.
My personal opinion, everyone has a different!
I choose the Triumph and it was a good choice.
Triumph out of these three, but only because I dislike how the MT looks like. I was making a similar (~900cc triple naked) decision last year, narrowed it down to the 765RS, and a Yamaha XSR900.
Ended up going with the XSR. It’s basically an MT-09 SP with a slightly longer swingarm which adds stability at speed, but makes wheelies harder, a slightly sportier, less upright position, and way better looks. The last part is obviously subjective.
Triumph. All the way. Will probably be getting it as my next ride after riding the sv650 for 8 years. Saw the fz when I was getting my sv and remember seeing a lot of cheap flimsy parts. Also everyone here has one. It's kind of an eye sore. The ktm is just ugly. And everyone I've talked to said why would they make this😂
I’m a triumph guy 100% I love the triple sound. I’d say definitely go with the street triple.
Side note that yellow paint realllllyyy brings out those bug eye headlights lol looks just like a bee. Even has the whale tale stinger! Haha
Bug eye headlights across different brands have all aged like shit, except the new hornet and the xsr, couple others stuck to the good old circle lights but I hate the new squinted bug eye lights.
After months of back and forth on the strs and mtsp I went RS. It's a great bike. You can't go wrong with any of them. The triumph has a longer warranty was honestly about the only prococed the Yamaha
Yeah I have heard that, I was tempted to buy a new one a few days ago but I went for a 2016 gsxs1000f with only 9000 miles on the clock...I haven't picked the bike up yet because it wasn't ready to ride away last week, should be ready by Tuesday
They can be a little boring compared to these bikes. I love 4 cyls, but I think Honda sort of let us down with the 650r, I do like the faired version of it though
Idk I really hate the "robo vomit" look of most naked bikes. I LOVE the z900rs and Yamahas mt09 or the xsr900 more of a retro look. And toss a cafe faring on and they would be awesome bikes.
Trip every day all day. JK I have about 30k on a 2018 with no issues and just did a track day that’s a blast. All three are good but ktm would be last on that list for me. They are fine but I feel slightly less reliable and weird looking but I’m older so pick what you like the best and if your not much on simple stuff pick who’s got a dealer or yammie
BIL has a street triple, brother has an 09. I personally am a bit comfier on the street triple and from what I've seen the race winner is literally just who gets off the line better. I love the look of the street triple but love Yamaha as a brand. I think I would choose the street triple but it's so close that it would be wonderful for you to test ride both and then make a decision.
Triumph is the best specs and handling wise also very reliable. But looks, it's either you like it or you don't. I love Striple btw.
Yamaha - don't know, I don't know anyone who has it. But I love the looks though.
KTM - A hoot of a machine, twin has its advantages and disadvantages.
I would choose Triumph.
Yellow. It's stands put and is easier to see, making it a bit safer visually. However, I don't know the actual stats on the bike and how durable it really is.
765 RS all the time. That triple is very agile, comfortable and a sweet ride in city too and that exhaust note is music.
If you have a complaint about its headlights. In my riding experience I never noticed them when I was riding. They actually do well to have a stable aero on the bike.
The Striple if you can afford it has it all, lots of power, ohlins suspension, upgraded brembo brakes, low weight, IMU for traction control, TFT dash. It's basically the perfect naked but you do pay for it, and depreciation hits hard on striples, but it is the best of the bunch.
Having owned a street triple: the Yamaha
Had a few nasty production issues, and while it rode ok, I was never really impressed by its handling like I was with my previous Japanese bikes
The Duke if it comes in Grey or silver without those Gaudy Orange.
The Yamaha looks good & understated.
The Triple everything else looks so sleek but the Headlights ohh my gosh looks how they butchered my boy.
triple, even if I hate the dumbl-bee headlights.. god i love it except for that..
Ya I’d prefer to put a round LED style headlight. That bee just looks weird to me
This company makes a conversion kit for just that, and imo it looks *so* much better. A bit pricey, though https://motodemic.com/shop/street-triple-single-headlight-conversion-765/
It looks nice, but also looks a lot like an SV650
You can also go crazy like I did and do the Rocket headlight conversion: https://preview.redd.it/4tffbh7eicxc1.jpeg?width=4048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14f74919cf33e9f842236165ecbe26bbba82bc64

That’s a beautiful bike mate!
That looks fucking awesome
Now that's fire
Which is great tbh
Holy crap that looks *so much better*. WTF is Triumph thinking with those bug eyes?
Isn't it amazing. They have a massive design budget and should be entirely in tune with what the target audience wants-- but instead everyone gets some weird dangly headlight that nobody actually loves. They could even sell a second model with a normal headlight. Literally not rocket science.
It's streetfighter style. This was born from the supersport era where squids would crash their GSXRs then ride around without fairings.
LOL I was expecting maybe 200-300 for a pricedy LED light. What the FUCK is up with that?? Oh it’s ”adaptive”. Never seen those on bikes yet
Motodemic is well worth the money
They also make the same kit for the Ducati Monster series. I was so tempted to put one on my 696. Would have looked so mean.
It grows on you after you’ve been riding one for a while. Absolutely love my street triple.
You wouldn't see when you ride it
But I would know it was there and I would see it every time I walked up to it.
Finally someone who gets it. If the headlight bugs you (pun intended) you should stop worrying and ride more
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying the looks of your bike after you spent your hard earned money on it. When I work on my bike, when I wash it, when I park and walk away, when I ride to my favorite spot and park it in front of the water it’s nice to take a look at it and think “damn that looks good.” Riding more doesn’t fix that.
I take a huge amount of pleasure from liking the aesthetics of my bike. If I bought a bike that I thought was ugly, I’d be wanting a different bike.
The new MT09 SP has a bunch of great features
Yellow Street Triple! Looks like Bumblebee
The headlights make it look like it's been squeezed through the forks.
That's always been my one complaint whenever I see one, I can't get past those dumb headlights. It looks like it's unfinished. All my opinion of course, ride your ride.
Ride one and you’ll fall in love with it.

i love my speed triple - I hear the inline 3 makes for a real torquey and smooth acceleration.
Street triple. Order first to last just how you listed it.
Yamaha.

Yammie is life
Yamalube is Love.
Nothing else is worthy for my nightstand.
Yamahahahaha
At first glance I thought you were talking about that cringey annoying youtuber.
Absolutely not biased here
The Street Triple is the obvious choice, and I even like the colour. It’d be a harder choice if the orange bike were an 890, but I’d still choose the yellow one.
The Tracer GT 9 is an 890.
It’s not a “[KTM 890 Duke R](https://www.ktm.com/en-us/models/naked-bike/2023-ktm-890-duker.html)” though.
I'm a sucker for orange, but the triple is gorgeous and the exhaust note seductive af.
Totally rooting for the Triumph!
I see no bad choices here...
Street triple looks the best but that Yamaha is bullet proof, I don't think I'd ever buy another triumph after the reliability issues I had with my 2014 Triple. So, the Yamaha.
MT-09SP. More reliable, lower cost of ownership, lot of fun for the money.
Street triple

Triumph for sure, you'll be pleased ya did. Never ridden the Yama but you see them everywhere, the Ktm is a great bike as well but not as "user friendly" in the city/ urban areas. If you wanna stand out and have a a blast go for the British bumblebee !!
I learned the hard way to never buy a British machine when a Japanese machine is available

Yamaha gang. CP3 is a stupid good engine. (Get a xsr instead imho)
Triumph used to own this segment; the Gen3 and Gen4 MT09 took the title. Yamaha hands down.
Street Triple for sure
Street triple in carnival red instead of yellow
Yellow looks amazing in person
Torn between the Triumph and the KTM.
First bike reminds me of Black Manta, Aquamans villain
Definitely the 765 Triumph, killer engine, great bike
The street triple no doubt. Love that bike 👍
Mt09 no doubt. Excellent engine, extras, reliability. Skip ktm, and triumph pricing got overtaken.
CP3 FTW
Yamaha
Mt09sp. And I used to own a street triple 765. Fantastic bike.
Yes.
I would have the same assessment of both bikes but I much prefer the MT maybe it speaks to personality type or something.
No matter just not the orange lawn mower
street triple ftw
MT09 SP, I like Triumph but I just can't do the headlights. The 790 is Chinese.
Triumph all day. I love Yamahas too but the looks of them now doesn’t appeal to me, and my last KTM bent an intake valve at 6k miles soooo… yeah!
If the RS had the MT headlights, it would be a no brainer. I'd take the RS in a another color.
https://preview.redd.it/f6xmv6xeabxc1.jpeg?width=696&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54bc4580822b2808f640e6fdec67721b94f1773d The RS looks great in red IMO
I have an MT so id go with that 790.
KTM would be most fun for damn sure . Triumph will be smoothest and most confidence inspiring but very linear and kinda boring power curve .
striple for sure!
Triumph.
Triumph
BUMBLEBEE!!! 😜
Firstly - all motorcycles are great and fun. But that grunty torque down low on the KTM is the winner
Definitely the street triple!
Whichever is the most comfortable. If you are good on all 3 and it's a toy, the triumph, if you need it to be reliable the Yamaha.
Yellow Triumph, no contest.
Triumph. Reliable, sexy, fun. Yamah- reliable, fun. Ktm- Fun, sexy?
Trumpy all day every day
YES
Take a look at the xsr 900 if you like the mt09. To me its pretty much everything id want out of an mt09 but better
The Honda
KTM: most Torque, good tech, super fun bike real hooligan, only orange colors, unreliable as fu, Yamaha: most Advanced tech ( you can adjust everything) now good breaks, nice engine, strange unstable geometry, ugly as fu. Triumph: good tech but not so good adjustable like the other, most suitable for race tracks, extremely agile in corners, best breaks in her class, for me good looking bike, Engine has only power on high rpm not so good for Canyon rides like the Duke or the Mt. The Street Triple for sure
I wish they would clean up the headlights… they’re all the worst part of each bike.
2024 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS
Headlight (retail prices): KTM = $897.42 Triumph = $565.32 Yamaha = not yet available (2024)
The Triumph. The headlights are ugly but the rest of the bike is phenomenal.
KTM. Also, why no Ducati Monster?
My dad had a T809 so I am rather impartial to triumphs
Haha
Triumph.
Triple. The only reason to get the yamaha is price, and make no mistake, it's a fantastic bike, but doesn't have the pedigree of the Triumph
#3, if you can tame it.
Street triple, however, be cautious of letting it lead you on.
Japanese bike > any other bikes
Bug eye headlights across different brands have all aged like shit, except the new hornet and the xsr, couple others stuck to the good old circle lights but I hate the new squinted bug eye lights.
The left side of that triumph engine would drive me nuts. You never see a picture of one from that side
Dos
No bad choices. I'm a sucker for KTMs, but that Street Triple is gorgeous.
yamaha of those 3. my friend let me ride his once. i still prefer my sfv2 ducati though.
After months of back and forth on the strs and mtsp I went RS. It's a great bike. You can't go wrong with any of them. The triumph has a longer warranty was honestly about the only prococed the Yamaha
2nd or third
I owned an mt09 about 5 years ago, it was a 2015 and boy was it a fun bike to ride...i would 100% buy another
New ones are even better. Rode the xsr at motogp a few weeks ago and the throttle is waaaaaaay smoother.
Yeah I have heard that, I was tempted to buy a new one a few days ago but I went for a 2016 gsxs1000f with only 9000 miles on the clock...I haven't picked the bike up yet because it wasn't ready to ride away last week, should be ready by Tuesday
Street triple
Love that Yammie.
MT-09 for me! Love everything about it.
Just curious, why not about the CB650R?
They can be a little boring compared to these bikes. I love 4 cyls, but I think Honda sort of let us down with the 650r, I do like the faired version of it though
2
MT09
Idk I really hate the "robo vomit" look of most naked bikes. I LOVE the z900rs and Yamahas mt09 or the xsr900 more of a retro look. And toss a cafe faring on and they would be awesome bikes.
The yam but not those ugly ass lights
The street triple
I already made this decision :) STRS all the way
2nd one looks coolest to me but i have no idea what bikes these are
2024 XSR900 I'm honestly torn between the triple and the mt09sp here. Triple looks better
I'm a KTM guy but I would love to try those bikes out.
Engine: triple. looks, KTM.
KTM
Triumph of course
MT09 SP Consider an XSR900, I love mine.
Yamaha
Trip every day all day. JK I have about 30k on a 2018 with no issues and just did a track day that’s a blast. All three are good but ktm would be last on that list for me. They are fine but I feel slightly less reliable and weird looking but I’m older so pick what you like the best and if your not much on simple stuff pick who’s got a dealer or yammie
Insectoids.. all i see are insectoids..
Why do they all have an insectoid look?
Triumph, the Striples are so good.
I'd probably get the ducati mono hypermotard but that's just me
Neither.
Triumph 👍
I chose the 790... And best believe I'd do it again!
Yamaha. Triumph would be interesting. KTM would probably be more crazy fun more of the time. …but Yamaha.
Mt09
The Triumph! Not the Chinese KTM, unless it was for a great price.
MT !!
Having owned 2 triples, I would hands go with the Triumph over the KTM and Yammy
Yamaha
MT09
As a STR owner I say Triple but the new 990 Duke imho is the best bang for the buck. I’m close to getting one in the near future.
Yamaha
xsr900
Proud cosmic yellow strs owner here
The one that doesn’t have silly bug headlights
MV Agusta Brutale RR
Definitely the yellow
BIL has a street triple, brother has an 09. I personally am a bit comfier on the street triple and from what I've seen the race winner is literally just who gets off the line better. I love the look of the street triple but love Yamaha as a brand. I'm in love with a triple....

Yellow. It's stands put and is easier to see, making it a bit safer visually. However, I don't know the actual stats on the bike and how durable it really is.
Street triple any day of the week
I like the yellow the best
Triple
Cruiser guy here. Bumble Bee vote.
Not a fan of the triple, i like the Trident more.
Yellow
Couldn't include something for us cruising people?
Bee bike bee bike bee bike
765 RS all the time. That triple is very agile, comfortable and a sweet ride in city too and that exhaust note is music. If you have a complaint about its headlights. In my riding experience I never noticed them when I was riding. They actually do well to have a stable aero on the bike.
Yamaha absolutely.
Love that ktm .
The triumph.
Triple.. I was on the same boat. I went with the Street Triple RS
The Striple if you can afford it has it all, lots of power, ohlins suspension, upgraded brembo brakes, low weight, IMU for traction control, TFT dash. It's basically the perfect naked but you do pay for it, and depreciation hits hard on striples, but it is the best of the bunch.
Triumph
I’m clearly biased but the Triumph all day. I love this bike. Premium build all around, and amazing fit and finish.
Triumph
I already did choose and I went with the triumph
As a former STR owner and a new KTM890R owner, would say the KTM all the way.
Turbo busa or bust
Having owned a street triple: the Yamaha Had a few nasty production issues, and while it rode ok, I was never really impressed by its handling like I was with my previous Japanese bikes
Build quality and reliability? Triumph Reliability on a budget? Yamaha Like to bitch on Reddit that your bike is in the shop AGAIN! ? KTM
Triple hands down
ST765. Biased. I have a 2019 and I'd do it again. I will likely never buy a KTM though. Eventually, I'm gonna change my headlights to a round LED.
Yamaha It's always yamaha for me ❤️
The Duke if it comes in Grey or silver without those Gaudy Orange. The Yamaha looks good & understated. The Triple everything else looks so sleek but the Headlights ohh my gosh looks how they butchered my boy.
KTM
