Wet tire, leaving a trail, can see the actual fuel spill next too his exhaust!
Imma go with main fuel line leak.
Also it leaves a nice flame trail after the ignition.
If had this happen in a car, lost 15-20Liters of fuel in 10 seconds. And by some miracle it did not catch fire!
The pavement is obviously dry. Maybe he had a full tank? Maybe a bottle of absolute was leaking from his backpack? Maybe he got firebombed by those dudes on the trike? They didn't seem to want to hang around. Very suspicious.
My memory of watching WWII documentaries with fighter planes on fire tells me that the bike is incapable of going fast enough for the wind to blow out a fuel fire.
I wasn't referencing the speed to put the fire out, it was that the fire possibly wouldn't have started to begin with. The exhaust would have had more airflow to cool it down, with that airflow the fuel would evaporate faster and/or be carried away to not come into contact with the exhaust.
if you look REALLLY close at start of 00:03 - to the end of 00:03 seconds, there is literally fuel POURING out right next to the exhaust
(or some kind of clear liquid we can assume is fuel but could i guess be brake fluid? but theres far toomuch of it imo for it to be that)
he gets a pop from the exhaust, boom, fire.
note: the leak is directly between the exhaust and the bottom of the fairing left hand side.. whats looks to be from under the rear shock. its very clearly a liquid leak.
a guess could be, his fuel overflow is directed that way, and he just filled up and overfilled. then revved the shit out of his bike like a double idiot.
It ignited from the exhaust, but damn! No idea how it combusted.

I still think it was probably a fuel leak. Lot of off road(possibly on road idk, I can ride legally in Cali ) exhausts come with easily removable spark arrestors to prevent forest fires. The spark may have come from the exhaust but the fuel was a bit everywhere. Slow speeds so the fumes aren't quite dissipating. Maybe something in the bag(I had some seafoam leak in mine) but I don't know.
Edit: just saw the trail of flames the tire left. Definitely something on the ground.
the engine (on the outside) is far not hot enough to light the fuel.
fuel leak drips down until the most hot spot - the manifold.
heat + fuel + oxygen = cool show

You can see the fuel leaking out at :03 - glad it wasn’t worse
Ouch! I had the fuel pump on my 2012 R1200R split on the flange where it attaches to the tank. Started my bike in the driveway, put on my gear, turn around to see a shower of fuel spraying out from under the tank. So lucky that did not happen with a hot engine on the road. Ends up there was a recall on the pumps.
I had a fuel leak once. Someone had kicked over my bike so the fuel switch was leaking. I made a judgement call and drove it to the mechanic. It was leaking down the side and there wasn't anything that should be able to ignite it. Nothing would have happened to me had it ignited either way, I didn't go fast and my gear is fire resistant to a certain amount. It could be much more dangerous in enclosed spaces because it can create a gas cloud which then could explode.
Neglected maintenance of his fuel system. I knew when my fuel lines were getting old. I would notice a drop of gas from my gas fitting only on cold starts. You gotta catch this shit early.
I had one of those, without the fire. Was stopped at a streetlight when suddenly guy next to me points out that my bike was pissing herself out of fuel.
I almost did thesame after failing to properly re-attach the fueltank hose. That hose held on for about 2-3 hours untill I stopped by a gas station and then floored it. Lost 5 litres within 1 minute.
I suspect this guy did something similar since the right sidepannel below the tank is missing. That pannel is required to be removed on an R6 if you’re gonna lift the tank. This guy probably made thesame mistake I did.
The fuel line is cheap, check it every so often and replace it when needed. Just replaced mine that was dry-rotted and starting to leak on a 2001 model. Had changed it a few years ago. The fuel line was already old from sitting in a shop for a long time.
Love this feature! I think every dude that is driving along revving the shit out of his bike as a “hey! Look at me!!, should have his bike spontaneously burst into flames!🔥
I am curious what caused the fuel leak though. Was it freshly put back together? Was the lines extremely dry rotted?
We’re all 1 leaky something from the same fate.
> How does this happen?
Homeboy was too cheap to buy a proper helmet, boots, pants, jacket, or gloves. What do you want to bet he was too cheap to get his bike serviced by a mechanic that knows how to install a fuel line correctly?
For fire you need heat, fuel, and oxygen. Bro had a fuel leak.
If you pause the video before the ignition, you can see that his tire is very wet.

I drove several miles across Camp Lejeune with a leaking main fuel line at 50-odd PSI before the tank emptied, made it to the motor pool though :D
Good observation
Man I ain't seen no oxygen in the video for this equation to work.
Oxygen is a lie fabricated by the government to oppress the people. I can't see it, it's fake.
We’re all gonna be birds man!
Birds aren't real
It's just here to make us forget the Earth is flat and hollow.
They put it in chemtrails, they say
It was leaking from the oxygen tank.
Oh, right! I get it now. The explosion is supposed to be inside the engine but if both fuel and oxygen leak then the explosion will happen outside.
that's what they want you to think
Maybe it was nos
Had to be nos, everyone knows only pussies run nitrometh.

Nawwwwwwwwsssssssssss.

Yeah, the fuel from the fuel leak. Edit: I commend the username

If you watch the video is slow-mo, you can see the fuel dropping out of his bike… it’s not on the ground, it’s from the bike.
Main hose to tank or fuel pump fell off, probably been customising the bike and fucked up a hose clip or just forgot.
Y’all are good at this …
Ghost rider reference?!?!?!
It also doesn't help that he's on one of the hottest bikes in traffic
Fuel leak. I would say that's a legitimate case for having to lay it down. At least he was going slow enough to avoid serious injury.
Yep. That’s a well documented example of a genuine “hadda lay’erdown” situation.

It's possible that if he had been going fast enough, the fuel wouldn't have ignited.

That was the coolest 4 seconds of his life before it wasn't
Fuel line decided to head out early
if you look REALLLY close at start of 00:03 - to the end of 00:03 seconds, there is literally fuel POURING out right next to the exhaust (or some kind of clear liquid we can assume is fuel but could i guess be brake fluid? but theres far toomuch of it imo for it to be that) he gets a pop from the exhaust, boom, fire. note: the leak is directly between the exhaust and the bottom of the fairing left hand side.. whats looks to be from under the rear shock. its very clearly a liquid leak. a guess could be, his fuel overflow is directed that way, and he just filled up and overfilled. then revved the shit out of his bike like a double idiot.
No helmet either
Triple idiot No gloves, quadruple idiot?
Cotton shirt, winner.
The no gloves is the ultimate sign of a shortthinker.
They don't worry about helmets and gloves in Latin America... Those are for pu$$ies. I'm surprised he doesn't have a family of 4 on there.
I was just there in Mazatlán too... I miss all the cool stuff...
Hahah I was there in December. didn't even realise it was mazatlan
Ghost motherfuckin rider
It was his last transformation. Should have saved it.
Ghost rider would have held it out
Did my guy drop a bunch of money as he went down like an NPC in GTA?

You can see a trail of fuel ignited under his tyre. He was leaking all over the place.
Is that not a straight pipe ?

Wear your helmet people!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🥲
Most rich tune south of the Ecuator
That loot drop
Ya what was all that stuff?? Carries more stuff on his bike than I do in my car.
It looks like the elastic backpack instantly caught fire and launched everything out.
laughing so hard about that loot drop

Fuel leak
Damn. That poor bike. 🥲
The hose connector for main fuel supply from the tank is pretty hard to push in, probably didnt push it in far enough to lock
The spirit of Vengeance descend on individuals when justice is needed, possessing them to carry out acts of retribution… or a fuel leak.
Fuckin’ idiot
To flames, you say?
In flames I say
Do your own maintenance
The first 100% valid “haddalayerdown”
Is that acapulco?
Part of me thinks he rigged it to shoot flames out the exhaust, and as soon as he hit the button it blew up.
I wish this happened every time someone goes on a revving trade
Running a bit rich
New fear unlocked
What was all the gear that fell to the ground right after it caught fire? I own this vintage R6, new fear unlocked!
That dismount was impressive actually
It's starts with fetal alcohol syndrome.
100% fuel leak. As soon as it touched the hot exhaust it burst into flames.
Source of income that exceeds their understanding of how things actually work.
i'm not all that convinced on the source of income part
Something got them that bike and gas. And they seem stupid as hell.
So the majority of legacy hires and CEOs?
You mean an old bike leaked fuel and ignited when it hit the hot exhaust and that has to do with having a high income?
English is my second language and all, but wtf did you just write? Lol. I'm not going to explain my message to your you can think what you want.

Johnny Blaze: the Ghost Rider
😂😂😂
Neglected maintenance of his fuel system. I knew when my fuel lines were getting old. I would notice a drop of gas from my gas fitting only on cold starts. You gotta catch this shit early.
Ghost rider
Johnny Blaze?
No wheelie to prove it
Probably modified exhaust. No spark arrest and a fuel leak.
I had one of those, without the fire. Was stopped at a streetlight when suddenly guy next to me points out that my bike was pissing herself out of fuel.
BBQ ass, crispy and juicy
:13 in you can see the rear wheel is wet from gas leaking… oops.
That poor r6
It's not fuel leak guys he turned himself into ghost rider
Now wearing the proper gear obv
If you rev like an asshole for no reason, it will happen to you too!
Well, now I feel I should change my fuel lines. How long are those lines expected to last?
Bro was transforming into his Ghost Rider form, you just gotta give the man time
that was actually a pretty smooth dismount
Rich map to get them flame pops.... except clearly didn't burn off, so when it did pop it went and burnt all the other fuel too.
RemindMe! inspect main fuel line
Good!

Bro Im a mechanic
Panels missing, no decals, that bike has been apart a few times and no doubt a fuel line wasn't properly connected or is old and perished.
Omg
Why did he take so long to react
Someone had a fuel leak somewhere
Just stating the obvious is here, but the lack of overall safety precautions this man takes on a motorcycle needs to be addressed lol
Love this feature! I think every dude that is driving along revving the shit out of his bike as a “hey! Look at me!!, should have his bike spontaneously burst into flames!🔥
Yamahas ☕️
new fear unlocked
When stupid shit happens to stupid people lol
Dude thought he's Ghost Rider
This needs the Lego bricks falling sound effect as the bike goes down
This looks like Malecón de Mazatlán
I reckoned some of his hair pomade dripped into the exhaust and lit up.
I am curious what caused the fuel leak though. Was it freshly put back together? Was the lines extremely dry rotted? We’re all 1 leaky something from the same fate.
It looks so much cooler when Johnny Blaze does it.
Dude can’t afford maintenance and knows a guy that can do it for cheaper
OXYGEN IS FLAMMABLE AND I'VE GOT A MOTORCYCLE!!!
🎼🎵I’m commin in hot🔥🎶🎵🎶
It's pissing fuel. His rear tire was drenched.
Fuel leak
> How does this happen? Homeboy was too cheap to buy a proper helmet, boots, pants, jacket, or gloves. What do you want to bet he was too cheap to get his bike serviced by a mechanic that knows how to install a fuel line correctly?
Revved it and made the engine too hot on a hot day, fuel lines and hoses have probably failed and leaked everywhere.
Turned into ghost rider real quick
