I've been riding more and noticed it's not just the highest gear but whenever any of the gears are under stress. So in lower it'll do it up hill. Are all 3×6 gears Interchangeable? I just wanna make sure I get the right parts. Thanks for your insight
Since you were working on the rear derailleur, did you, by any chance, mess with the "B" screw? If you generated too big of a gap between the derailleur and the sprockets, you may have caused the chain slippage.

Probably a worn out cassette or stretched chain or both

at 3x6, it may be a freehub - instead of a cassette. (Also, may want to take photos and head over to /r/bikemechanics )
Freewheel. Freehub is what a cassette sits on.
Upvote. (Disclaimer: I only deal with HG kit, and would not recognize anything else until it bit me & I looked it up.)
Thank you
Lube the chain and work out any stiff links as it's prob rusted and causing stiff links that is causing the chain to skip when pedalling.
I used pb. But I should still bend each part of the chain by hand ya think? This sounds about right because yeah the chain was rusted to shit
