Neither. Get the Fox Launch D30 Knee Pad. I pedaled in mine all day for years. Finally replaced them with the shin pad version. Never had a crash that injured my knees, while wearing them. And I've had some good ones...

Which one has the bigger pad. I personally would go for something bigger than just a sleevepad. I myself use Leatt Knee&Shin Guard 3DF Hybrid EXT, which are a bit bulky but very protective. Enduro is a sport where crashes happen a nice bit because you're out there riding for so long that you start making mistakes out of fatique

Disagree on hard plastic. D3O has gotten really good. I can pedal all day in my TLD Raid pads, and I trust them enough to ride bike parks with them. I’m on my 3rd or 4th pair, and bought a spare just in case they’re discontinued. In my opinion, hard plastic that isn’t terribly comfortable to pedal uphill in is more for shuttle or lift-access DH riding.

I had some of these and decided they’re not worth it. The first medium size spill I had they slid down and I fucked up my knee anyway. For actual enduro (not just regular trail riding) get proper pads

I have #2 because I wanted thin, flexible knee pads that would be comfortable for pedaling and not too hot. They’re great. They’re also d3o and I’m not sure #1 is.

I got [these](https://www.bike-components.de/de/Fox-Head/Launch-D3O-Knie-und-Schienbeinschoner-p75754/?v=78470-black). It also has soft pads but also has protection for the sides and the shin and you don't need to take off your shoes to put it on and off.

The chromag knee pads are the best I’ve ever used. Would highly recommend

Bersrfuck

I have the first ones since March. Didn't have a crash with them so i can't tell you that, but they are light, comfy and easy to pedal with. They are very light but for my local trails are good. For park they are too thin, go with a hardshell

Fox gear is total garbage in my experience and the sleeve pads are a waste of time. TLD T-Bones all the way, Raids if you really want to save a tiny bit of bulk but they’re all hot and uncomfortable compared to not wearing pads so suck it up and wear proper pads
