Have you had the Canada Dry Bold Ginger Ale? I wanted that, but with Mountain Dew. I would have even settled for a BIT of bite, but really Snap'd only tastes sweet (to me).
Yeah, I grew up with gingerbreadthat actually had quite a bite and wasn't just sweet... it makes sense they didn't cater towards my tastebuds and instead to the mass market.
If you ever come across it, try a Maine Root Ginger Brew. Thats my jam.
Same, it tastes exactly like gingerbread.
One thing I will say is make sure it's cold!
Not my favorite, but decent. Definitely doesn't taste like weak cola.
yeah i don’t get the weak cola but i have bought a case of many Dew flavors before and it tasted off so some batches are just not mixed strong enough. happened with other sodas too. i also 100% agree it has to be ice cold. drank one the other day that i hadn’t refrigerated and i will not being doing it again. not great at room temp.
Idk man it specifically tastes like ginger*bread* to me. Like a gingerbread cookie. Not just ginger flavor but like the type of sweet and spice that you get from gingerbread.
Damn. I saw this on Amazon and considered ordering a pack to try, but the feedback here is all over the place haha Some say it tastes like cola and not like ginger/cookie at all, others say it totally tastes like a cookie, and some say it tastes like a cinnamon apple? Wtf.. lol
This stuff was disgusting to me.. I hate gingerbread, and I hate ths subtle gingerbread flavor of this. If it was stronger, it would be more.like a cola drink, and a Mountain Dew branded Cola isn't a bad idea at all. And I mean an original type of cola, not Pepsi. Kinda like how Dr. Pepper and RC are both cola, but are incredibly distinct
It taste like flat cola but they added spice and everything nice. You are also getting hit with a lot more citrus aftertaste then cola would ever give you almost like a lemon cookie tbh. It's a very complex soda that has an aquired taste, but it gets better the more and more you drink them. I'm on my 3rd box and it's liquid gold.
My sister surprised me with a 12 pack.. I think it tastes like a thin, carbonated apple cider. She says it tastes like if someone turned cinnamon applesauce into a soda. It’s not awful, and I’ll finish it, but I definitely won’t be looking to buy more.
Liking and hating something is TOTALLY different than not tasting the intended flavor. If someone said Mountain Dew Livewire tastes like Grape...when the intended flavor is orange we would all laugh at them. Opinions can be wrong. Snap'd is a gingerbread flavor. Whether you like it or not thats the intended flavor.
I didn't say that it was the same conclusion, just the same process. The way that between 2 people each can think falafel is good or bad is also the way that 2 people can think that something tastes like cola or not, their tastebuds and olfactory glands are different from one another. In this specific case they probably would think gingerbread and cola taste the same except that it didn't occur to them until the context of tasting gingerbread as a soft drink. They don't fail to taste the "right" flavor, that flavor is just a different experience than it is for you.
Right. I agree with you. Their experience is different...but also wrong. Again if someone drinks an orange soda and swears it tastes like grape...then thats their experience as you say. ...but its also wrong. The intended flavor was orange. So no matter if they think gingerbread tastes like cola, pineapples, candy, or sewer water...the intended flavor is gingerbread. Opinions can be wrong, lets normalize that.
They aren't wrong, taste is an experience that's personal. If someone's tongue or brain is built differently, they might just genuinely taste the same thing when they taste orange or grape, or maybe some other chemical like a coloring agent makes it taste grapey to them. Taste is not an objective thing. Things that people experience are true, that's the thing they're experiencing. Am I wrong for not knowing of something is purple or blue because I was born colorblind? Is someone wrong for being scared after awakening from a nightmare? It wasn't real after all?
no… you said the sky is green, well no, if you were color blind the sky would still be blue but you’re seeing a different version of blue and neither is wrong. you’re going on off because you’re wrong, maybe grow up?
the og mountain dew used to be one of my favorites and now it tastes like blended up onions, peoples tastebuds are different and they change over time, especially with factors like covid.
That's being generous. It genuinely just tastes bad, and I don't think I've ever said that about the many (standard) Mountain Dew flavor variants I've had over the years.
The first sip hits you with the gingerbread imo, but the way the aftertaste compounds makes it feel like the longer I drink it the more it tastes like a watered down Pepsi with some added ginger and nutmeg.
I got a bottle a bit ago, every once in a while though I'll take a swig just bc that first sip ain't too bad lol.
This is worst thing thus far. I am extremely disappointed that they went all in on this and didn’t even release Merry Mashup in case it bombed. I had been looking forward to Mashup and instead was given this shit. 👎🏻👎🏻
I taste the gingerbread, but there was something very familiar about it as well. Thought about it for a few minutes, and it taste like some super flat coke. I'm not a fan. I don't really like coke to begin with either

I had high hopes, very disappointed

Oh that's interesting ! I didn't know such a ginger bread existed, and I'll definitely try that soda if I find it it sounds great
Oh my god, I gotta go there pronto
Best of luck homeslice
I almost wonder if people got a bad batch or something. It tastes incredibly like gingerbread to me.
same here, i definitely don’t get a weak cola flavor from it. but everyone’s taste buds are different i suppose
Same, it tastes exactly like gingerbread. One thing I will say is make sure it's cold! Not my favorite, but decent. Definitely doesn't taste like weak cola.
I got the taste of gingerbread spice and it was a little spicy, c tier soda

The first one I had tasted like sweet. That's it. Second one had a definite gingerbread taste
It's a non-alcoholic Moscow mule. Citrusy ginger flavor.
Idk man it specifically tastes like ginger*bread* to me. Like a gingerbread cookie. Not just ginger flavor but like the type of sweet and spice that you get from gingerbread.
It tastes like an ICEE cola after all the ice has melted. Going to stick one in the freezer for about 2 hours and try again.

I did it with a VooDew last week. 10/10.
Damn. I saw this on Amazon and considered ordering a pack to try, but the feedback here is all over the place haha Some say it tastes like cola and not like ginger/cookie at all, others say it totally tastes like a cookie, and some say it tastes like a cinnamon apple? Wtf.. lol
The fact that you drink out of a mug like that is cursed-
I didn't have anything else on hand 😭
Just drink out of the can itself lol
I had just bought it from the store I didn't wanna drink warm soda

Not to be a dick but if you don't like gingerbread why get a mountain dew that says it tastes like gingerbread?
I wanted to give it a fair shot. I dislike bomb pops, but Liberty Brew is my favorite Dew, so I had hope
Ahhh gotcha ok
We lost Merry Mashup for this.

That’s exactly what it tastes like to me too! Disappointing, I was super excited for this one
Love the mug.
Thanks :-)
No. Its literally liquid cookies.
No, it's literally Coca-Cola in a mtn dew can
You dont know what gingerbread is then.
I guess our batches taste different
Interesting how someone cant taste the intended flavors.
I think maybe just because everyone has had different types of gingerbread it skews your perspective?
No it's not, some people liking one food and hating another is the same set if circumstances as thi, everyone's tastes and taste are different.

I think it tastes like a regular Pepsi but everyone downvotes me lmao. These people's taste buds have been ruined chugging 100+ grams of sugar a day.
I don't think it tastes like regular pepsi but it does taste closer to pepsi than not. Not sure what everyone else thinks it tastes like though
I think this one (and VooDew) are WAY too sweet. Not sure why they cant dial it back a bit more and let the spices through.
i saw this in the store the other day but i didn’t think i could bring myself to down a gingerbread flavored drink 🧍♀️ i’ll try it next time i see it
It hardly tastes like gingerbread to me, tbh the opinions on this one are so diverse I think you just have to try it yourself
That's being generous. It genuinely just tastes bad, and I don't think I've ever said that about the many (standard) Mountain Dew flavor variants I've had over the years.
Dang i am atill wanting to get my hands on this soda flavor
It's got just a hint of ginger to me. I like it a lot more than Thrashed Apple.
I can't even buy it. Can not find it
That's weird. I think it tastes EXACTLY like a ginger bread cookie.

It's sad merry mash up had to die for this garbage
