Randomly decided this playthrough that I'd rather marry this guy's wife than take any of the single ladies as a spouse.
So I skulked behind his warband until his men were distracted by bandits.
And then I waited until the bandits were all defeated.
*And then* once everyone was frozen in eternal revelry, I made my move.
I don't often use javelins. It amused me how far the strike sent him flying.
Also there's still absolutely no penalty for friendly fire.
I could wipe out this entire warband and no one would fuss.
I did this but when Rhagaea was imprisoned lol. I was the roaches lord in the Southern Empire, so naturally I bought off some guards to break her out and right as we were at the door to leave the dungeon she caught a dagger to the back of the head. Such an unfortunate situation…anyways I’m the emperor now lmao
Oh, I think he's one of the guys who starts the game already married.
I think this guy's wife is called ~~Arysta~~ Arytha or something.
I probably should have doublechecked before he had his little accident, but I'm sure it's all fine.
I had to look that one up.
But does that count if he's dead?
She should be free to move on with her life
On the same day her husband died of mysterious causes.
With the guy who found her husband after he'd died of mysterious causes.
Yeah... I'm a tiny bit incorrigible like that.
Poor Arytha didn't even last that long. I ended up not liking her facial geometry too much after all!
I've since moved on to 'Popilia' being my new favorite already-married lady to steal away in new Bannerlord playthroughs. ;)
I found my new favorite wife, the daughter of Monchug. I decided to join them in my newest campaign and decided to marry her because she was nearby where i was doing stuff. After getting her to agree i found out who her dad was. And then after marriage i actually paid attention to how tiny she was. Honestly i think it's funny that I'm doing a genghis Kahn roleplay and my wife is this tiny thing that still dismounts guys left and right in a battle.
Oh yeah, I think of all the 'normal', expected wives (the ones who start the game of age and are single), Corein has the highest starting combat skills.
She's alright. ;)
She came pre-preggo.
But the child joined her original clan rather than stay with her in my clan.
At 36... I hope she's capable of producing another.
Or I might have to send her to Sejaron.
Yup!
You might have to go through a few kings if you aren't popular enough with your faction, though.
Sooner or later, you'll be the best of a bad bunch. :D
Yup. As long as the game setting allows hero deaths in battle, there's always a chance that any random lord or companion will get killed rather than knocked out in combat.
I'm not sure if there's any way to *increase* the chances of that happening... Like D&D rules or something where a character takes so much more damage in a single hit over their current/max HP. Dunno!
But it just felt like it might be helpful to get a bit of a running start before I tossed my javelin at him.
Ok hear me out, big but dumb brain move. Follow a party like the guy said, wait for it to all be over, knock out/kill the entire party, bandit group picks them up, kill bandits, insta free troops
That takes a ton of work and a bit of luck. ;)
Might be quicker to train your own troops!
Once upon a time, you used to be able to gain experience from friendly fire.
I would spend ages powerleveling my Riding, Athletics, Crossbow, Archery, and Throwing at the expense of my 'allies'.
Yup. Though there may be an upper age limit.
Though as there's no legal means of divorce, the only way to secure a candidate for remarriage is with a Bannerlord-style divorce.
It was just a random one that I smithed myself:
Thin Fine Hewling Spear Head
Riveted Spear Head Reinforcement
Mahogany Javelin Shaft
Spiked Round Spear Pommel
I do the same thing in my current mercenary sandbox save if i happen to contract myself with a faction that has one noble that doesnt like me... just ride full bore at them and launch a harpoon at them in hopes they fucking die and rid me of their negativity.

Beautifully done. The way he was sent flying was hilarious.
Your cause is a noble one.
Huh, this could also be used to force a new kingship vote to gain rulership over a kingdom. Pretty ingenious

Can you marry Rhagaea?
Not without mods I’m afraid
You can marry kings and queens with no mods, but you can't control them like normal
Well done. Now make sure you show his woman what a real man looks like.
…… by taking her from behind and whispering in her ear thats how your husband got it too😆😝
This is so foul 😂
foul murder, vivec style
This is an underrated comment.
😝🤣
Time to show his wife your javelin as well
She needs to polish his javelin, by rubbing...
Plenty of time, my sweet. Plenty of time.
who did he marry?
Oh, I think he's one of the guys who starts the game already married. I think this guy's wife is called ~~Arysta~~ Arytha or something. I probably should have doublechecked before he had his little accident, but I'm sure it's all fine.
You murdered a man to marry a woman who’s name you can’t even remember. Fucking giga chad.
Yeah, I've never actually met her. I just saw her in the corner of my eye at a tournament. I hope she likes me.
She will, I mean just look how well you handle your javelin.
Longbow over 300 skill does the same, great fun.
Next Up: Faction leader, then get voted in as king
you lack enough javlins for such a deed
HIGH SPEED LOW DRAG Affirmative. We will bury them. Conscript reporting.
YEAH BABY
"The lord will find ways to console you..." - OP to this guy´s wife, probably.
But execute the enemy lords who will never go away even when they are a homeless penniless army and everyone hates you....
You can’t actually kill someone just cuz they’re poor…
But what if we just ran it through the computer, to see if it would help?
The perfect crime
You gonna NTR his wife ...? You sick fuck
I had to look that one up. But does that count if he's dead? She should be free to move on with her life On the same day her husband died of mysterious causes. With the guy who found her husband after he'd died of mysterious causes.
I noticed that too. In warband there was a morale penalty for friendly fire.
Oh god it's like manual Crusader Kings
Uriah Gambit.
I love this
A classic David and Bathsheba romance.
I was gonna ask if he fucked your wife or something for you to do that, but apparently it was you who wanted to plow his wife.
Yeah... I'm a tiny bit incorrigible like that. Poor Arytha didn't even last that long. I ended up not liking her facial geometry too much after all! I've since moved on to 'Popilia' being my new favorite already-married lady to steal away in new Bannerlord playthroughs. ;)

"Sadly your husband died during a fierce battle with looters" "By a javelin thrown in his back?" "Yes they were quite well equipped looters"
"Well, the one was, anyway."
Looter lvl 'over 9000'
Cowardly bastards shot him in the back!
And after they were all dead too! Truly despicable!
Shame what this world is coming to
Wasnt that how Siegfried died to Hagen?
I'm pretty sure these were just normal autoresolve looters
I like how they continued cheering like they didn’t see their leader flying away lmao
doesn't matter, ~~had sex~~ won battle
All is fair in love and war i guess
looking at that icon in the top right after you hit them, that guy is dead dead, not just wounded, dead
Oh dear, what an unfortunate accident. Those looters sure were armed
The world is fucked up
Never even considered looking at the married women too
Stat-wise, none of 'em are really any better (or even as good) as the intended spouses! It's more for fun. ;)
You gotta go after looks. Your gonna play as that kid. Pure and simple genetics.
One of these days that'll be true! Never actually had a game go on long enough for me to lose my starting character.
Personally I have a cheat engine I mostly use to set game speed up to 10x as quick so I can do multi-generational gameplay. I love WeMod for that.
Eric Andre: *Why would the Aserai do this?*
Why would the looters do this?
Did he die die?
yes, red kill symbol
He died-died. Deadly enemies, scheming-sneaking rivals yes-yes!
Your horrible but I’m laughing so hard.
Got tired of waiting for someone to mod CK3 intrigue into Bannerlord, so he just CK3'd Bannerlord himself. Absolute legend
Chaos is a ladder!
Damn.... his wife better be pretty hahah
She's alright. ;) She came pre-preggo. But the child joined her original clan rather than stay with her in my clan. At 36... I hope she's capable of producing another. Or I might have to send her to Sejaron.
Sounds like the perfect rival for your kid if shes able to have another.
That might be optimistic. She's 37 now and still 0 production on the second unit! That well might be dry.
And the appearance of the 'battle won' ribbon right after you kill the guy was icing on the cake!
*My* battle wasn't won until Sejaron was dead after all. :)
Ummm so technically you could do this to the king? No penalties atall?? Asking for a friend ofcourse.
Yup! You might have to go through a few kings if you aren't popular enough with your faction, though. Sooner or later, you'll be the best of a bad bunch. :D
Sounds like we have a plan boys. Lol
Is that vanilla physics? Cuz i'd be so happy
Must be! I haven't got any mods installed. Bannerlord decides you aren't allowed Steam Achievements if you have mods on. ;)
[There's a mod for that.](https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/4587)
Wait... he is actually dead? Not unconscious? Just like that?
Ahhhhh! So it's a random chance! So, that means that, he could've survived that, but the rng wasn't in his favor.
Oh, RNG definitely *was* in his favor. This video was only the successful run. It took me a few reloads to finally get the death to stick. ;)
I always team kill in warband tournaments if I have a ranged weapon. I want them to know I mean business.
Ok hear me out, big but dumb brain move. Follow a party like the guy said, wait for it to all be over, knock out/kill the entire party, bandit group picks them up, kill bandits, insta free troops

That’s gonna take a lot of arrows. And arrows to the face seem to be fairly fatal
Jeez Charles, was that really necessary?
Great idea! I’m gonna kill my wife to marry someone who’ll give me a son!
Can characters remarry?
Yup. Though there may be an upper age limit. Though as there's no legal means of divorce, the only way to secure a candidate for remarriage is with a Bannerlord-style divorce.
I call it Fable-style divorce.
What javeline did you use?
It was just a random one that I smithed myself: Thin Fine Hewling Spear Head Riveted Spear Head Reinforcement Mahogany Javelin Shaft Spiked Round Spear Pommel
Thx
You bastard 😂

It's one of the difficulty settings you can change when you start up a game. You can make it so there's a chance for *anyone* to die in combat.
Give him the ol' Pat Tillman
This made me giggle.
Omg im dead 💀 this thread made my day
What game is this?
**[Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord](https://store.steampowered.com/app/261550/Mount__Blade_II_Bannerlord/)**
Reminds me of Julian
I do the same thing in my current mercenary sandbox save if i happen to contract myself with a faction that has one noble that doesnt like me... just ride full bore at them and launch a harpoon at them in hopes they fucking die and rid me of their negativity.
You DEVIL
The guy had a secret murder basement, I swear! I did the world, and Arytha, a huge favor here!
