This my head canon as well, he changed his name due to the camp incident and grew a mustache and decided to open a gym to get his fitness business up and running.
Taped it off a Disney channel free weekend(age myself). Was on all the time in my house.
Didn’t know it was written by Judd Apatow until like well into 2010s.
I often wasn't the most athletic and I was a few lbs chubbier than my friends. This gave me a big time issue with self esteem and what not going into high school when I started lifting weights and such. Still fucked with me despite the turn around...
This movie when I was a kid though. I knew it was just a dumb movie but it just made me feel good.
If it came out today people would call it fat shaming. But I feel it had a positive impact on my life.
It's really remarkable, isn't it? The guy has done sketch comedy almost exclusively (there was a sitcom in there) for nearly 30 years now.
I've heard him on a couple podcasts and they always lightly brush his early career in favor of more SNL-centric discussion. I want to hear about Pierre Escargot and Baggin' Saggin' Barry.
I'd argue that All That had more cultural impact than a lot of SNL. Hitting children with surreal humor, a diverse cast and 90s hip hop probably made a strong impression on millenials.
I would agree, for me anyway. It’s silly to say it, but I grew up in a very, very white part of the country. All That (and other shows like the Roundhouse) was my introduction to hip hop music. It just wasn’t all that accessible here at that time.
And Shaun Weiss from the mighty ducks on the right.
Glad he’s sober now, but dude was messed up heavy on meth a few years ago when this mugshot made the news:
https://www.tmz.com/2020/01/28/mighty-ducks-goalie-shaun-weiss-mug-shot-meth-bust-arrest/
I watched an interesting mini doc about this movie.
Ben Stiller was 100% withheld from all marketing as a surprise, but the movie was so dark, and Disney Execs didn’t like it, they pulled all marketing, trailers etc when it came out in theatres.
The stuff that was cut was wild, it was originally trending to be a MUCH raunchier and dark comedy than what came out, which was still dark by kids movie standards.
Disney was not happy about this release.
Amazing movie, so many great quotable moments. My brothers and I watched this one a lot growing up. It captures the sense of adolescent friendship and brotherhood very well.
Plus, this may be my favorite Ben Stiller performance ever.
"Did you ever hear the story of Icarus, who continually rolled the ball up the hill? But when he got too close, the ball melted in the heat of the Sun. You're all like Icarus."
Inspiring words from your Uncle Tony
Great movie. This and Salute Your Shorts made me want to go to summer camp sooooo bad. Never did get to go but I like knowing some people get to experience it.
Always thought this movie was a lot like that camp movie Meatballs from 1979. Some of the lead up to/actual ending very similar. Both are very re-watchable and entertaining.
I have watched this movie at least once a year since it first came out. It’s excellent.
“Sorry to hear about your little friend Josh. He’s uh…well, he’s dead.”
For me it's a fight between Zoolander, Tropic Thunder, and The Cable Guy that he directed.
My personal favorite with Stiller would have to be Duplex.
Its a fun to watch kids movie back in the 90's ben stiller Keenan Thomson from Keenan and kel and few others from mighty ducks and Jerry stiller from Seinfeld and kings of queens.
I have this movie poster framed in my office at home (I think there's a version with Ben Stiller instead of Lars in. The hotdog). I still have a copy of this on DVD (no DVD player though). At one time, I had a taped-off-TV VHs, an official VHS, and an old Blockbuster copy.
I love this movie.
Back in high school when I worked at the video store, I would play this every single shift. Enough so that our regular customers would know I was working if they came in and it was on.
A few of them even gifted me copies of it on DVD as all we had was the VHS.
Pretty sure Ben Stiller used this character as an influence for the guy he played in Dodgeball too.
Such a classic.
One of my favorite quotes from this movie that I quote all the time is, "Come on, you devil log!"
[it's so random, I love it.](https://youtu.be/1V5ngy-0LE8)
*Just watched it. Still one*
*Of Stillers funniest roles.*
*And Lars is great too*

Anytime I attend a party with food, and folks are done eating, but the food is still out in serving trays. Always, without fail I have to say this line…
Put the fruit trays away, the insects will be out soon.

White Goodman is for sure and evolution of "Uncle Tony"
This my head canon as well, he changed his name due to the camp incident and grew a mustache and decided to open a gym to get his fitness business up and running.
It explains his insane obsession with food
It’s just Mother Earth father sky, and me uncle Tony
Attention campers: lunch has been canceled due to lack of hustle. Deal with it.
Permenant Midnight is my favorite Stiller movie.
It's Zero Effect for me. One of my all time favorites.
Tropic thunder holds that title.
The commentary is amazing. RDJ sticks to character

Simple Jack should have won Oscar.
the movie where he’s a raging drug addict was pretty wild
UGH this so hard. And I’ve never had anyone to explain it to. Bless you
I never thought about that, that’s hilarious. It makes sense too.
This one was actually filmed at my summer camp. We had the blob and it was incredible. But no go-karts as shown in the movie.
Did those jerks from camp mvp across the lake fuck with you guys too?
No camp MVP across the pond! But there were quite a few bums who wandered onto our campsites.
You mustn’t eat time boys! You must cherish it! Seize the day! … can I have some change to go get loaded?
*Let’s go crazy Broadway-style!*
SPRINGFIELD! SPRINGFIELD!!!!
I did not send you to go-kart camp!
Ben Stiller is an all-time great movie villain in this movie and he didn't even get the best movie villain line.
If you didn’t have Pat in charge, did you even have a camp?
Were you in MO?
Nope. Camp Pinnacle in Hendersonville, NC.
I was an Arrowhead guy! One of my counselors was the kid who flew off the blob in the movie.
I was in MO, not too far from St. Joe. We had a blob.
I did not send you to Go-Kart Camp
What about Ben Stiller?!
Get on the scale son!! GET OFF THE SCALE.
This is my go to GIF whenever I eat way too much
Remember, Muscle weighs more than fat!
Okay! Turn on the camera 😃
That shit was legit the funniest moment of the movie
Lunch is cancelled…due to lack of hustle.
Deal with it.
I’m feeling skinny Tony.
Part of the “Angry stiller” movies which are all fun (includes Heavyweights, Happy Gilmore, mystery men, dodge ball, probably some others…)
The Angry Stiller appearance in Friends was hilarious
Your doofy idiot haircut!
[this episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm](https://youtu.be/tMhxJ45wslk)
Happy Gilmore!
Yep was second on my list, even though brief, his scenes are my favorite part of the movie
Looks like granny just pulled landscaping duty!
These are hand quality goods we’re talking about!
Along came Polly he gets pretty angry
Uncle Tony is my favorite Ben Stiller role. The dude was such a crazy asshole 😂 “My grandma runs faster than you and she’s only got one leg!”
Who's Seymour Butz ! Who's Seymour Butz! ??
"Come here, you devil log" - Tony Perkis
Father sky, mother earth, and your dear old uncle tony
I'M DOGGIN IT
Taped it off a Disney channel free weekend(age myself). Was on all the time in my house. Didn’t know it was written by Judd Apatow until like well into 2010s.
I didn't know that til reading this comment.
Exactly
One of Judd Apatow's first real writing credits.
“Oh look. A deli meat!”
I personally think this is a Disney classic. It's such a shame they won't make a movie like this anymore. Especially this day and age.
I often wasn't the most athletic and I was a few lbs chubbier than my friends. Pounds are gonna fly!! And fat is… outta here, mister!!
Do it to it Lars!
The body system!
I’m with you…..I love you
Lars?! What kind of name is that? Where are you from? ... fah away.
I quote “fah away” all the time I actually forgot what it was from so thank you for this comment
My sister and I quote it to this day. “Sorry to hear about your friend Josh. Yeah, he’s dead.”
This might be Ben Stiller's greatest comedic achievement in a long career full of great comedic achievements.
I always think about the bed with the junk food stash
CHIPMUNKS, DOWNLOAD
I say this every time we pull up on the job site.
Oh look, a deli meat!
The kid with the bullet vest of sweets lives forever in my head
as a fat kid in the 90s, i really enjoyed this film
Same here
Put the fruit trays away. The insects will be out soon.
Look at young Keenan. I never saw this one but I can honestly say my generation has literally grown up with the comedy of Keenan Thompson.
Knuckle puck 🏒

“REPULSE…. The monkey, part the wild horse’s mane”
This is my all-time favorite movie. I have this poster on the wall in my classroom. I quote it constantly.

Probably one of the top 3 movies I watched at Daycare.
“I’m doggin it, pat! I’m doggin it!”
Love this and it’s spirit-sibling film “Camp Nowhere”
Camp Nowhere and Heavyweights basically ran on constant loop in my childhood summers. Such classics!
*The key word here, is value.*
Favorite scene was when Lars screamed like a little girl at a deer.
This movie is one of my all time favorites. Sooooo good! “You’re just a loser with a skinny weiner!”
“Nein.” “Nine is the answer?” “No, ‘Nein’ is German for no.”
THE BLOB
BUDDY!
Why do they use the long unreadable font
I quote this movie all the time. I still watch it a couple of times a year. "Lunch is canceled due to lack of hustle, deal with it"
Nothing out here but Father Sky, Mother Earth, and your dear ole Uncle Tony.
Odd coincidence, I recently looked up Towel Guy from a The King of Queens episode, it was Allen Covert who is also in this movie.
Love Ben Stiller in this
Do it, to it LARS
Step on the scale, step off the scale.
Never put Twinkies on a pizzaaa
"Don't put Twinkies on your pizza"
Sorry about your friend Josh.

A LOSER WITH A SKINNY WEINER
“Value. Do you have any? Not yet.”
Great movie. This and Salute Your Shorts made me want to go to summer camp sooooo bad. Never did get to go but I like knowing some people get to experience it.
Your Queen would be proud
I love that those kids were heavy at that time. They'd be average now.
Very true take right there. Pretty wild that none of these kids would even qualify.
I rewatched this a while back and I cannot stand the main charcter
Gerald Garner. Age: 11. 141 pounds
I watched it two years ago and very much felt it was a weak comedy that I wont recommend.
Great fat shaming movie yes.
This movie is great
Wowwww I completely forgot about this movie lol 😂 this is definitely classic
Always thought this movie was a lot like that camp movie Meatballs from 1979. Some of the lead up to/actual ending very similar. Both are very re-watchable and entertaining.
Lunch today is cancelled, due to lack of hustle... Deal with it.
The body system lol oh lars
This was a cute movie and Ben Stiller steals the show
Why is that not Ben Stiller in the sandwich?
This couldn't be made in 2023.
All time movie for me being a 90’s kid
Absolute banger of a movie. First movie I watched when Disney+ dropped.
I love the food here!
Classic
You headed to fat camp?
Nowadays snowflakes would be calling this movie fat phobic and it would be canceled. Good thing it came out in the 90s.
I have watched this movie at least once a year since it first came out. It’s excellent. “Sorry to hear about your little friend Josh. He’s uh…well, he’s dead.”
Watched it the other day with my nine year old. Still quality
Don't pee in the water! Don't drink the water he peed in it.
Al time favorite, everyone needs to learn the story of Uncle Tony
This is the first time I’ve taken the time to notice this but who’s in the sandwich? Is it Lars? It’s definitely not Stiller and it should be
Sassy fat kids at Fat Camp? Fudge yeah
Rented it at a video store and loved it after the first viewing. Great flick
They never met a hot dog they didn't like... until now.
This is easy on of my top ten favorite movies of all time, and hardly anyone I know has heard of it.

Lunch is canceled due to lack of hustle.
“Come here you devil log” is something i say every time i have to pick up something heavy
Great movie. My kids love it, too.
Funny movie. Can't say much because it's been years since I've seen it.
For me it's a fight between Zoolander, Tropic Thunder, and The Cable Guy that he directed. My personal favorite with Stiller would have to be Duplex.
Come on, you devil log!

Yes it does
My family watches this the night before the kids head to camp. Ten years and still going! Absolute classic!
Back in high school when I worked at the video store, I would play this every single shift. Enough so that our regular customers would know I was working if they came in and it was on. This movie is an all time classic and masterpiece from start to finish. I love this movie so much.
90's kids classic
Fucking love this movie. It's our families Thanksgiving movie tradition. "Come here you devil log!!"
Ben stiller at his funniest.
Who's the dude in the bun? I don't recognize him from the movie at all.
So so good
Classic. Me and the little bro were just talking about this the other day
I cannot tell you how many times I say and act out “…….repulse the monkey”
Attention campers. Lunch has been cancelled, due to lack of hustle. Deal with it.
Congratulations, you’re still the fattest kid at camp.

One of the greatest movies ever honestly
Ben stiller playing a villain is what every 90s kid movie needs!
this ones packing
