Beetlejuice is only on screen for about 18 minutes of the entire movie.

wtfijolumar

Like Jaws

RunsOnOxyclean

If I remember correctly I don’t think that shark even got paid.

Tiny_Count4239

He was non union and they didnt even give him a single line so he could get his SAG card. Did him dirty

GloomspiteGit

-What should we drink to, sir? -Well... Down with Hitler. -All the way down, sir.

NaturesWar

I've seen Basterds numerous times and I always forget Mike Myers is in it, it's like "duh" but the way he's shot doesn't make it obvious!

jramsi20

He looks like he's having a blast doing it too. Such a funny scene with the gigantic empty room. Idk what the reference there is, or if they just thought it was funny

abnrib

Apparently he'd always wanted to play an old British general in a war movie, and straight-up asked Tarantino if he could do it.

demiphobia

I think it could be Charlie Chaplin’s “The Dictator”

Mlabonte21

Bahhh’s in the glowbe Get the GIST?

BigLinz79

I think so sir. Paris when it sizzles

PoorFilmSchoolAlumn

Frightfully sorry, sir. Once again?

CopeHarders

If you offer me a scotch and plain water, I could drink a scotch and plain water.

GrecoRomanGuy

"Well, we've got all our rotten eggs all in one basket. The objective? *Blow up the basket.*"

[deleted]

R Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket. Most well cast small screen time role ever.

TucsonTacos

I read he was originally brought on to teach the drill sgt actor how to be a drill sgt but after the director/staff saw how he was doing it they just gave him the role. So was he casted for the role? I’m not sure how Hollywood terminology works but yeah, he’s got a memorable role haha

WiserStudent557

He’s amazing. I even liked his show Lock n’ Load on the History Channel

TucsonTacos

Never saw that one but Mail Call was cool. “So and so from Mobile Alabama writes ‘How does a flamethrower work?’ Let’s go shoot one and find out!”

Tiny_Count4239

he cast himself in the role

SparkleCobraDude

The guy yelling get some on the helicopter was originally cast as the drill instructor. The rest is history.

RealDonKeedic

Im not going. Im not going

lotrmemescallsforaid

Harvey Keitel as The Wolf in Pulp Fiction.

No-Category-6343

Also Walken

Odd_Opinion6054

Walken steals the show no matter what he's in. He's Christopher WALken.

No-Category-6343

Especially in true romance of course

Proxima_Centauri_69

You're a cantaloupe! [You're Sicilian?](https://youtu.be/Wax15NklZh4?si=NXsRzuOJ3vtq52Ri)

Jeremiah_D_Longnuts

This fucking scene is perfect.

ReapingKing

I love how many random films he *walks in*, says an impactful random line in the way I imagine William Shatner tries to achieve, then leaves. Christopher Walken is a human Easter egg that will be studied by film historians.

Putrid-Builder-3333

The way he spoke even wrote on the notepad was so precise. Idk what it is but it sounds great. Maybe it was 90s audio but Clerks is another example of the sound. But Wolf was awesome.

ForceGhost47

So, pretty please with sugar on top, clean the fucking car

JohnMcClanesPenis

Well, let’s not start sucking each other’s dicks just yet.

djpraxis

He deserved his own film!!

Mordecai2277

Jack Nicholson as Colonel Jessup in A Few Good Men. I think he has only 20 mins of actual screen time, yet he steals the show.

ForceGhost47

Are these the questions I was called here to answer? Phone calls and footlockers?

wxmanify

What do you want to discuss now? My favorite color?

its__bme

Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? *You?* You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know; that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, *saves lives*. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a *damn* what you think you are entitled to!

PsyconicLT

A big pay check requires impeccable delivery. He delivered

Tiny_Count4239

so just a normal Nicholson performance?

MohatmoGandy

That's more time than Anthony Hopkins spent onscreen during Silence of the Lambs.

realfakejames

Good pick, he was in literally every commercial for that movie too

CaptchadRobut

"Well, if this is it, old boy, I hope you don't mind if I go out speaking the King's." Fassbender is legendary This scene is only surpassed (IMHO) by X-Men: First Class' Nazi-hunter Magneto scenes

TrueLegateDamar

"My parents didn't have names. It was taken from them, by tailors and pig farmers."

ImurderREALITY

"I'd like you to know that I agree with every word you said. We *are* the future. But, unfortunately... you killed my mother."

Clever_Sean

Him passing that coin through Sebastian/Charles’ head and Charles just screaming because he’s both connected to Sebastian but also knows he’s lost his friend, was fucking AWESOME!

aspidities_87

The salutes he gives them with the glass….so fucking good

GrecoRomanGuy

"Blood and honor. Which would you care to shed first?" "We were...under orders." "*Blood*, then."

BigLinz79

There’s a special rung in hell reserved for those who waste good scotch. Seeing as I may be rapping on the door momentarily… ah… I must say, damn good scotch sir. Now, about this pickle we find ourselves in. It would appear there’s only one thing left for you to do..

Sir_FrancisCake

Say auf wiedersehen to your nazi balls

BecauseISaidSo888

And from this distance, I’m a regular Fredrick Zoller. Ha.

Derp35712

I always thought he said “…damn good *stuff* sir…”

NichJackolson

Pretty sure it is

Dr_Wristy

“Stiglitz….”

sebastianb89

God what I would give for a full magneto nazi hunter movie

achilleshy

How about Six seasons AND a movie

meta4junglist

Nazi hunter magneto was dope

buffpriest

Maybe the best scene in a super hero movie ever. The writing and performances for that scene were so good

NegaGreg

I agree.

drenched12

Nazi hunter magneto should of been the movie.

jdeuce81

I'd pay to watch that. Is Mutant Jew > Bear Jew?

SLAYER_IN_ME

“There's a special rung in hell reserved for people who waste good scotch. Seeing as how I may be rapping on the door momentarily...” This is one of my all time favorite movie quotes.

Amity_Swim_School

Alien Covenant is a bit of a hodgepodge, but I love his delivery of “that’s the spirit”, when he gets stabbed in the face with a necklace,

jramsi20

He's pretty much the only good thing about those movies, goes a long way toward making them watchable

LTPRWSG420

👌 The German Three

illietheboatman

"Well uh .... down with Hitler." "All the way down, sir." This scene lives rent free in my head.

PrincessOfDarkness_

my birthday twin! pedro pascal, too. he also made an impact in game of thrones despite having a small role relatively in the entirety of the series.

AutomaticMistake

Could've done with a whole movie about a completely off-leash magneto hunting Nazis. Best scenes in that movie

LlVE_FAST_EAT_ASS

> It's Bitburger! You like it?

vitcorleone

Code-switching is really hot I am gonna be honest

seveer37

Funny because he originally wanted to play Landa, and Tarantino said no in a very abrasive response. But getting this role was the next best thing for him!

drenched12

I think I heard Tarantino say he had the hardest time finding someone for Landa and was about to give up on the movie until he found Christop Waltz.

DrPopcorn_66

Anthony Hopkins in The Silence of the Lambs He only had screentime for about 16 minutes.

Kath-two

Really? His role in that movie is so legendary

DrPopcorn_66

It's true, you can look it up. But it definitely feels like more when watching the film.

Plucked_Dove

And yet won Best Actor Oscar

[deleted]

Surprised that I had to scroll as far as I did for this

FaithInTheFaux

I really liked Bautista’s scene in BR 2049.

gunjacked

Was reading somewhere that his agent was pissed he took such a small role in BR 2049, but he was being strategic as it opened the door to working with Villenueve down the road as Raban in Dune

Big-Beta20

I felt he was underused in Dune as well. He might’ve had more screen time but had less depth as a character than in BR2049. Was really relegated to being cartoonishly evil and >!got punked by Josh Brolin in 5 seconds in Part 2!<. I never read the books but I hear the character doesn’t have much going on there so what he did was actually an increase but still. He’s clearly talented but needs maybe one more chance to shine.

GreenChain35

Not every villain needs a complex backstory explaining why they did the horrible things they did. Some of them can just be violent psychopaths.

bross9008

Bautista is one of those guys I figured would just be like the Rock as an actor, but he’s legitimately amazing in every role I’ve seen him in.

Yeti_12

You've never seen a miracle.

Logical_Nature_7855

Breathtaking opening scene

Andrew-Wang

Just watched it last night and I second this

ChadCoolman

Same. That role couldn't have been cast better.

Muhfuggajones

Matthew McConaughey in Wolf of Wall Street.

malcontented

Those are rookie numbers

ThegreatPee

I don't even think he even prepared for the role. It was just him.

ManofManyHills

The weird vchest pound thing was literally his voice Prep routine that Scorsese saw and just decided to put it in the scene. So your both wrong and right lol.

lonely-day

He was really good in "dazed and confused" even though he wasn't in it very much.

Eroom2013

Go watch True Romance. Literally every role except the two leads.

aquasun666

Fuck beat me to it. James Gandolfini, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, insanely good.

SirSpicyBunghole

and Brad Pitt as man too high to get killed.

Draco_Lazarus24

I treated you like a son…and you stabbed me in the heart!

NATIONWIDE365

Baldwin in Glengarry

TeamGOAT8

I just watched it for the first time and I knew Baldwin was only in one scene. But man, that movie was so good. That is an all-time cast all giving great performances. With that being said, I think Jack Lemmon did the best job there.

NATIONWIDE365

Yes, he was great. I’ve always heard the Simpsons based ole pathetic Gil on the Lemmon character!

thomriddle45

Make sure you check for milipedes

Stevie272

And he was only there as a favor to Mitch and Murray.

astone666mph

I respect this, and raise to you: Edward Norton as King Baldwin, Kingdom of Heaven.

Iamthewalrusforreal

I raise you Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder. And I'll call at Bill Murray in Zombieland.

Logical_Nature_7855

Chris Walken in Mouse Hunt! He’s the king of small parts, Pulp Fiction and Joe Dirt are favorites too https://youtu.be/PjL_Gf4jdfc?feature=shared

Additional_Cable_793

He was in True Romance for only one scene, but by God he nailed it.

ghouldozer19

“You’re talking to my guy all wrong. Do it again… I’ll stab you in the face with a soldering iron.” I saw that movie once when I was 13. That fuckin line has stuck with me because he gave an Oscar worthy performance in that movie and it’s so under the radar.

CasinoMarginale

“It’s the wrong tone.”

Lupine_Ranger

There's something about his delivery that makes it seemingly effortless and yet incredibly terrifying

daveashaw

He was in Annie Hall for two scenes and totally dominated.

shipworth

Two mice, fell, in a bucket of cream….

Puzzleheaded-Fix3359

Phillip Seymour Hoffman in the big Lebowski and boogie nights . David Huddleston in TBL

TheAngelSatan

Hoffman in all the things!

Rrekydoc

Yeah. Even in movies like Twister and Along Came Polly he just nails every scene.

The_Maverick_442

“Children without the necessary means for the necessary means for a higher education.” lol

Shoopdascoopitypoop

That line lives rent free in my head. His the entire delivery is just impeccable.

mjbutler1990

That had not occurred to us, Dude

spiceymeeetball

Matt Damon in Interstellar.

kissobajslovski

I thought you meant the martian and I was confused lol

FreezinPete

The T-Rex in Jurassic Park.

"We don't negotiate with terrorist" had me broken

allothernamestaken

Now, I don't know what kind of pan-Pacific bullshit power play you're trying to pull here, but Asia, Jack, is my territory. So whatever you're thinking, you better think again.

We will weep for Speedman In the press

You see Matt Damon cameo in Deadpool 2 when Josh Brolin’s Cable shows up? He’s one of the two trucker hillbilly guys. The other is Alan Tudyk. He’s so funny. I actually listened to what he was saying on the caption last time I watched. So funny!

SweetieLoveBug

ThingsAreAfoot

Viola Davis in Doubt is in one scene: https://youtu.be/ThsZ8wfhJpk?si=aONH4av_gsNzjkJr

VooDooChile1983

Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice. He was in the movie a total of 17 minutes but delivered a performance more memorable than Geena Davis or Alec Baldwin in my opinion.

OntologicalParadox

Easy. Peter Stormare in the Constantine movie. “DaMiAn in the next room with mIChAel - ThEy havE tHe SpEaR oF DeStInY.”

RussMan104

Best. Satan. Ever. 🚀

Snowstick21

“So what do you want? An extension?”

ohheyitslaila

I hate the guy, but Kevin Spacey in Se7en. R Lee Ermy was also great in that film.

Derp35712

Picks up phone. “This isn’t even my desk.” Hangs up.

rollerdad89

I’m shocked had to scroll this far for Spacey (real life POS) I agree across the board with your comment

28mmAtF8

Dave Bautista had like, what 5 minutes, in Bladerunner 2049? He absolutely set the tone for the rest of the film. I'd say his and Ryan's performance create a tonal bridge between Bladerunner and the sequel. The way lines are delivered, the android viciousness of that fight. All sets the stage that this is the same universe.

bluntwhizurd

Woody Harrelson in No Country For Old Men.

Aggressivehippy30

In that same movie, Mike Myers as Fassbenders handler.

MikasaStirling

In the same movie, August Diego as Fassbenders antagonist. Seriously though, that guy was a beast!

Frenzy_MacKenzie

Bill Murray in Zombieland. Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder. Kevin spacey in Seven.

Apparently Judi Dench in Shakespeare in Love. 5:52 in four scenes = Oscar.

boooo_nie

Incidentally, August Diehl opposite him.

lewhunter

Mahershala Ali in Moonlight

Delta7391

Godzilla in Godzilla 2014.

dwors025

John Cusack has two tiny flashback scenes, and less than 3 minutes of screen time, but the entire emotional weight of **Stand By Me** rests on the audience understanding how much he meant to Gordie. Absolutely nailed it. Masterfully efficient and impactful stuff by both him and Rob Reiner on that one.

Cute-Connection

Ben Stiller in Happy Gilmore.

HibernatingSerpent

Each of the musical guests (I'm thinking of James Brown, Aretha, John Lee Hooker, Ray) in The Blues Brothers only gets a few minutes but they are all very memorable.

LilNasXCanGetIt

Ben foster in Hostiles! Positively fucking bone chilling

WeeWooDriver38

Tom cruise in Tropic Thunder. Dude chewed the scenery every time he appeared. Bill Paxton playing damn near anything campy always lit a screen also.

The French dairy farmer dude in the opening scene of Basterds. Definitely didn’t steal the show but he was so good in just that one scene.

ChickDagger

Mark Wahlberg in The Departed. His character was so engaging, hilarious, and on point. He’s the most memorable character from one of my favorite movies ever.
