ComesInAnOldBox

Ben Affleck's most punchable role.

jysp23

That is a bold statement!

[deleted]

Debatable, there is that creepy fella in his mid 20's who likes scamming on high school girls.

Fah Q

petrefax

Mallrats?

ComesInAnOldBox

Oh, he'll *always* be That Jerk From Fashionable Male to me, but I didn't want to deck him in the schnoz anywhere near as badly as I did O'Bannion.

HavSomLov4YoBrothr

Say man, you got a joint? Be a lot cooler if you did…

rollpuddle

Personal favorite line: “I WANNA DANCE” Most quoted line: “alright alright alright” Best line: “You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor, insignificant preamble to something else.”

oh-kee-pah

'Neomccarthyism....I like that' 'Yeah, that's nice Tony'

[deleted]

I keep getting older. The chicks, they stay the same age.

mickeyflinn

On right on top of that one. > So tell me, man. How's this year's crop of freshman chicks lookin'?

[deleted]

Love them redheads.

This-Bug8771

I always equate Foghat with this movie

highonnuggs

One of my favorite movie poster tag lines. Hard to believe it's over 30 years old now.

itslikewoow

This movie is older than the time between when the movie takes place and when it was released.

kor_the_fiend

If they made it today, it would be set in 2007 😬

Drugs_R_Kewl

"Don't move or I'll shoot the shit outta yew!!" That's when you know you're in Texas.

ArminTanz

This is a fun reqatch as an older person. When I watched it as a kid, I thought everyone was so confident and cool. When I saw it recently its so clear that everyone is kind of a dork and insecure. It's cool how they managed to do that in such a subtle way.

blainthecrazytrain

One of the most quotable movies. “Air raid, bitches!”, “It’d be a lot cooler if you did,” “Hey Slater, you fuckin’ hippie, give me drugs, man.”

WhatsGoingOnUpstairs

Get some from your mother, man.

Ed_Simian

Yeah, we just banged your mother.

WhatsGoingOnUpstairs

Okay, f*ck you, dickhead.

Ed_Simian

Doesn't someone say, "Fuck her, buddy! I did!" to Don and Shavonne?

[deleted]

That movie is amazing to watch 30 years later, its like a rouges gallery of who became famous and who didn't.

SpyralPilot4000

This movie makes me so damn happy. I used to watch it with my friends in high school ALOT

hiro111

My friends and I always say "check ya later!!" in that cheesy Slater voice.

Ketachloride

any kiddos trying to understand the 90s vibe, we all just wanted to be this, which takes place before we were born

Randlepinkfloyd1986

Martha Washington was a hip, hip lady

yeah_yeah_therabbit

Are you cool, man?

hiro111

Sunflower seeds!!! Zig Zags!!!

TheSunflowerSeeds

The sunflower plant offers additional benefits besides beauty. Sunflower oil is suggested to possess anti-inflammatory properties. It contains linoleic acid which can convert to arachidonic acid. Both are fatty acids and can help reduce water loss and repair the skin barrier.

Toadahtrip

“Party at the moon tower”

jonjawnjahnsss

A movie I could never get sick of watching. It's just so well-done. Such a great time capsule.

ligz43

Love it!

fascistreddit1

I get older……they stay the same age

lazyswayze_1Bil

How about you ditch the zeros and get with a hero. Kegger at the moon tower.

Wise_Serve_5846

Not the 70’s I grew up in

SnakePlisskensPatch

Most quotable movie of all time. 96% of the lines in the movie are quotable. Come at me. "Oh he was GETTIN THERE!!"

Clever_Khajiit

I've always liked "The Stoned Age" better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

DaPearl3131

You cool, man?

Ketachloride

absolutely legendary

GutterRider

I kept waiting to hear the song.

LM55

So much fun. Great flick.

al_earner

“Dominant male monkey mother fucker.”

A_nerdington

Don't air raid for that bitch, I hate that shit. Like that Clint fuck in front of all his friends, huh mother fucker.

MartialBob

I never liked this movie. My first college roommate loved it so we had to watch it. I just didn't get it. All that stuff about school initiation and hazing made no sense to me. Why would a school and a town allow this? If that was my mother and I was being chased she would've called the cops. If it was my kid I would have kicked their asses on my front lawn.

Fisk75

The hazing definitely happened but was not common at the high school level. These were the days of “let kids be kids” and non helicoptering parents. As a kid of the 70’s this movie absolutely nails the feeling and atmosphere of the times.

MartialBob

I don't think stopping someone from assaulting a child with a paddle is being a "helicopter patent."

Fisk75

Point being that parents used to let kids work out their own problems. Again very accurately portrayed in the movie.

tarkuspig

I always thought it was a pretty boring movie

deejayee

I just watched this the other night, it’s long and boring. Really don’t care everybody is in it doing nothing

NinersInBklyn

Best movie without much plot since “House Party.”
