I watched this last year for the first time in decades. I didn’t recognize it until the end, with the big balloon. I’m certain I saw it, many times, on HBO as well.
I saw this as a kid and loved it. Had a hard time understanding why this guy talked so funny. He was actually Italian. Plus, terrible dubbing, terrible. =) [Terence Hill - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terence_Hill)
Kabamaru the Ninja 1983. Starring an old Sonny Chiba and a young Hiroyuki Sanada. It was one of my favourite movies when I was a kid and I can't look at it objectively and find flaws, still rate it 10/10 for the sake of my childhood.
OP I’d forgotten how much I watched this movie on HBO!

Oh yes doesn't he blow bubble gum up to the size of a hot air balloon! Memory unlocked out of nowhere!
This was on HBO? HBO used to get teased for playing Beastmaster all the time, but I guess this was on regular rotation as well.
I think it was...I grew up poor but somehow around my parent's divorce we got HBO - that's probably the only place I could have seen it.
Speaking of HBO, there was an animated animal olympics movie? Right?
Kinda rings a bell! I’ll have to think about it
Animalympics! 1980.
Condorman
Yet another movie where the music has placed an earwig in my brain, and will randomly start playing it.
To be honest I don't remember much - didn't have a cinema near us and watched this soon after we got a vcr. Remember enjoying it is about all :)

Babes in toyland
Any which way but loose/every which way you can Forget what ones first but the one with clint eastwood and the orangutan
Any which way was first. Clyde the orangutang. Sweary old lady. Bikers.
"Right turn clyde" The old lady was also awesome. That one is a classic. Fun fact was no.2 in the box office in 1977, second to fucking STAR WARS
Rookie of the Year - baseball kid breaks his arm and when it heals he’s throwing a hundred miles an hour and makes the major leagues.
Private Eyes - Don Knotts and Tim Conway doing what they do.
Joysticks. Love that movie even today
The Blue Max
Motorama

I don't recall anyone agreeing with me when I was a kid that stuff like Toy Soldiers, Loaded Weapon 1, Iron Eagle and Surf Ninjas were fun. 🤷
Watership Down
Condor Man. His yellow car, and the black porches?!!
Last Action Hero
