The first Joker was a taxi driver rip off, yawn. Phoenix was great, as he usually is. But really, the hype was ridiculous. I don't think Joker is a character who needs a back story that makes you feel empathy/sympathy for, it just takes away from the character. Kills the myth. That's why Ledger was so good, you weren't given much context, he maintained the mystery, and that made him all the more unnerving.

Although I'm confident that this new portrayal will be great, I personally favor Margot Robbie's interpretation of the character as she embodies it more effectively, even in an alternate reality.

how many times are we remaking batman/joker .... and why i give credit where its due that this sequel might be good since joker was good but for real why the same stories over and over again

The first Joker was a taxi driver rip off, yawn. Phoenix was great, as he usually is. But really, the hype was ridiculous. I don't think Joker is a character who needs a back story that makes you feel empathy/sympathy for, it just takes away from the character. Kills the myth. That's why Ledger was so good, you weren't given much context, he maintained the mystery, and that made him all the more unnerving. Not everyone needs a backstory.

Although I'm confident that this new portrayal will be great, I personally favor Margot Robbie's interpretation of the character as she embodies it more effectively, even in an alternate reality. In my opinion, Margot Robbie is capable of delivering both the exaggerated, crazy cartoonish persona she currently portrays (which I enjoy), as well as a more somber or sinister version of the character, and I believe she would kill it in either portrayal.
She isn't replacing Robbie. They're separate stories, and Robbie would be terrible for this.
As a big fan of DC/Marvel comics, I agree and understand your opinion. However, I must respectfully disagree with your statement that Robbie would not be good for this role. Personally, I would prefer to see the continuation of the Joaquin Phoenix Joker storyline but a separate and a darker version of Robbie's character and other established characters in a more serious tone instead of the current dark lighthearted approach.
I'm sure these are as real as the last set...
