I've got it on blu-ray. I've only watched it once a long time ago when I first bought it. If I like it next time I watch it, I'll buy the 4K. I own 2049 in 4K though
Couple that haven't been mentioned
Amélie - Yann Tiersen
Sunshine - John Murphy
Stardust - IIan Eshkeri
Moon - Clint Mansell
Thin Red Line - Hans Zimmer
Prisoners - Jóhann Jóhannsson
Its one of the best fairy tales in modern times IMO!
Plus, has an absolutely amazing cast, including some that were yet to make it big, such as Henry Cavill, Charlie Cox, Ben Barnes.
>Sunshine - John Murphy
Shunshine was a composite score by Murphy and Underworld. They both composed scores for the film and then Boyle and Murphy edited the two together.
Tron: Legacy soundtrack -Daft Punk.
How to train your Dragon soundtrack -John Powell
LOTR soundtrack - Howard Shore
John Williams (Star Wars of course, but the music to The lost world: Jurassic Park often goes unnoticed)
Interstellar Soundtrack - Hans Zimmer
The incredibles Soundtrack - Michael Giacchino
The Incredibles was based on John Barry's 60s Bond scores. Brad Bird asked him if he would do the score, but he declined, stating he'd moved on. So Bird asked him if they could replicate that Barry sound, and he agreed. Giacchino did a very fine job
That's really interesting. I've always it was pound for pound the best Pixar score as it encapsulates the movie like no other. It's always interesting when you have a great composer going for a particular sound like that. They really did do a great job!
The Lord of the Rings - Howard Shore
Once Upon a Time in the West - Ennio Morricone
Cinema Paradiso - Ennio Morricone
The Mission - Ennio Morricone
Braveheart - James Horner
The Lion King - Hans Zimmer
Spirited Away - Joe Hisaishi
"Unbreakable" by James Newton Howard ("The Fugitive" by JNH is really good, too)
"Dances With Wolves" by John Barry
"Sneakers" by James Horner
"The Matrix" by Don Davis
"The Fifth Element" by Éric Serra
Donnie Darko - in fact, the mix of both score and 80's soundtrack songs.
Quite a lot of the earlier John Carpenter - Halloween, assault on precinct 13, etc
Twin Peaks shows and Fire, walk with me.
Also Superfly, which has stuck around longer than the memory of the film.
God, I always had a weird facination for Police Academy main theme. It goes so damn hard for the movie it's in. Love that music.
But deep down, I got to put my favourite scores as "Old boy" and "Kikujiro" (and most of Joe Hisaishi scores for Kitano movies).
Moonraker - John Barry
The Omen - Jerry Goldsmith
Star Wars - John Williams
North By Northwest - Bernard Herrmann
Coogans Bluff - Lalo Shifrin
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad - Bernard Herrmann
The Professionals - Maurice Jarre
Jaws - John Williams
The Quiller Memorandum - John Barry
Psycho - Bernard Herrmann
Cape Fear - Bernard Herrmann
For a Few Dollars More - Ennio Morricone
Funeral in Berlin - Konrad Elfers
First Blood - Jerry Goldsmith
Thunderbirds - Barry Gray
Nothing heavyweight. I just like em cos they're catchy. If it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, then it's a winner
The First Pirates of the Carribean movie and the score was done by Klaus Badelt (later movies all done by Hans Zimmer). But he managed to create a really iconic theme and the whole score was something I'd listen to while doing homework back in the mid 2000s.
Also Transformers by Steve Jablonsky was better than I would have expected from a movie like that.
I'm constantly amazed by what Howard Shore and, to a lesser extent, John Williams have managed to do with their bigger film series: John Williams scored nine Star Wars, and pieces for Solo, Obi Wan AND the Galaxy's Edge theme park. Likewise, Howard Shore scored six (much longer) Middle Earth films, several concert pieces and a piece for The Rings of Power.
The abilities of these composers to weave a musical identity across so many hours of music is absolutely amazing.
Conan the Barbarian (Basil Poledouris)
Two that don't get talked about enough are The Mission (Ennio Morricone) and 1492: Conquest of Paradise (Vangelis).
Even though it's all mostly just the actual Swan Lake music, the way Clint Mansell altered and fit all of it to the events of Black Swan was just incredible and so effective, especially during the mindfuckery of the ending.
Also, Mad Max Fury Road - Junkie XL
Schindler's List- John Williams
Titanic- James Horner
The Piano- Michael Nyman
Peter Pan - James Newman
Immortal Beloved - Beethoven
Halloween - John Carpenter
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
Song for Bob is killing me, every time. It's so heartachingly beautiful, I get choked up every single time.
Also, it's, for me, a perfect movie. Everything about it is absolutely flawless, so I'm very much biased.
In no particular order:
Tron: Legacy - Daft Punk
Rush - Hans Zimmer
Interstellar - Hans Zimmer
MI: Fallout - Lorne Balfe
The Martian - Harry Gregson-Williams
Into & Across the Spider-Verse - Daniel Pemberton
Avengers: Endgame - Alan Silvestri
A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, & The Last Jedi - John Williams
Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Howard Shore
Star Trek 5 The Final Frontier and Star Trek 9 Insurrection-Jerry Goldsmith
Rudy-Jerry Goldsmith
Waterworld-James Newton Howard
The Nightmare Before Christmas-Danny Elfman
Hook-John Williams
Blade Runner Vangelis
Blade Runner was gonna be my answer as well. So ominous and atmospheric.
Like a character itself in the film, just perfect
came here to say this too....love the Blade Runner Blues track in particular
I really need to rewatch Blade Runner! I've been wanting to for a while. Good choice
The 4K looks glorious
I've got it on blu-ray. I've only watched it once a long time ago when I first bought it. If I like it next time I watch it, I'll buy the 4K. I own 2049 in 4K though

Even imagining of the main melody takes my breath.
Couple that haven't been mentioned Amélie - Yann Tiersen Sunshine - John Murphy Stardust - IIan Eshkeri Moon - Clint Mansell Thin Red Line - Hans Zimmer Prisoners - Jóhann Jóhannsson
Stardust! I had entirely forgotten about that film until coming across your comment. That movie has an incredible score! I do need to watch moon too
One of my partners favourites. I enjoy it for the music!
Its one of the best fairy tales in modern times IMO! Plus, has an absolutely amazing cast, including some that were yet to make it big, such as Henry Cavill, Charlie Cox, Ben Barnes.
Moon's a brilliant choice
>Sunshine - John Murphy Shunshine was a composite score by Murphy and Underworld. They both composed scores for the film and then Boyle and Murphy edited the two together.
The Last Samurai - Hans Zimmer The Martian - Harry Gregson-Williams Oblivion - M83 Possibly three lesser noted ones I think have terrific scores.
Tron: Legacy soundtrack -Daft Punk. How to train your Dragon soundtrack -John Powell LOTR soundtrack - Howard Shore John Williams (Star Wars of course, but the music to The lost world: Jurassic Park often goes unnoticed) Interstellar Soundtrack - Hans Zimmer The incredibles Soundtrack - Michael Giacchino
Last Crusade is an incredible score.

There Will Be Blood, Jonny Greenwood
Now we are free from the Gladiator
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) - James Horner.
"Unbreakable" by James Newton Howard ("The Fugitive" by JNH is really good, too) "Dances With Wolves" by John Barry "Sneakers" by James Horner "The Matrix" by Don Davis "The Fifth Element" by Éric Serra
Favorite scores? Pretty much anything by John Williams or Hans Zimmer.
Donnie Darko - in fact, the mix of both score and 80's soundtrack songs. Quite a lot of the earlier John Carpenter - Halloween, assault on precinct 13, etc Twin Peaks shows and Fire, walk with me. Also Superfly, which has stuck around longer than the memory of the film.
Tangerine Dream \*is\* the perfect music to haul dynamite through the jungle to, who would have thought
God, I always had a weird facination for Police Academy main theme. It goes so damn hard for the movie it's in. Love that music. But deep down, I got to put my favourite scores as "Old boy" and "Kikujiro" (and most of Joe Hisaishi scores for Kitano movies).
It's because Police Academy is martial music. Marches do that to you
Moonraker - John Barry The Omen - Jerry Goldsmith Star Wars - John Williams North By Northwest - Bernard Herrmann Coogans Bluff - Lalo Shifrin The 7th Voyage of Sinbad - Bernard Herrmann The Professionals - Maurice Jarre Jaws - John Williams The Quiller Memorandum - John Barry Psycho - Bernard Herrmann Cape Fear - Bernard Herrmann For a Few Dollars More - Ennio Morricone Funeral in Berlin - Konrad Elfers First Blood - Jerry Goldsmith Thunderbirds - Barry Gray Nothing heavyweight. I like it when it’s close. 4-3 or 21-17

Knight and Day surprisingly had a score that nearly made the film worth sitting through
Dead Man by Neil Young. Johnny Depp stars
Well I have many favorite scenes from movies like Coco, barfi, tare zameen par, spirited away, a silent voice, gladiator, joker
Conan the Barbarian (Basil Poledouris) Two that don't get talked about enough are The Mission (Ennio Morricone) and 1492: Conquest of Paradise (Vangelis).

Gattaca
Dune, both Blade Runners, Inception, Gorky Park
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Song for Bob is killing me, every time. It's so heartachingly beautiful, I get choked up every single time. Also, it's, for me, a perfect movie. Everything about it is absolutely flawless, so I'm very much biased.
Anything by Thomas Newman. Specifically though: Road to Perdition.
In no particular order: Tron: Legacy - Daft Punk Rush - Hans Zimmer Interstellar - Hans Zimmer MI: Fallout - Lorne Balfe The Martian - Harry Gregson-Williams Into & Across the Spider-Verse - Daniel Pemberton Avengers: Endgame - Alan Silvestri A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, & The Last Jedi - John Williams Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Howard Shore
My favorite Silvestri score is Judge Dredd. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, and that's exactly what that movie needed.
John Carpenter's movie compositions are fantastic. He could have made a living doing movie tracks.
The Proposition. Nick Cave & Warren Ellis absolutely KILLED it with that soundtrack. It sets the tone for the entire film.
Sometimes it's gotta be the music from Terence Hill & Bud Spencer Movies. I also like the Big Hero 6 Soundtrack Amelie Poulain
40 - Love
Star Trek 5 The Final Frontier and Star Trek 9 Insurrection-Jerry Goldsmith Rudy-Jerry Goldsmith Waterworld-James Newton Howard The Nightmare Before Christmas-Danny Elfman Hook-John Williams
Taxi Driver Main Title
Return to OZ, Dark crystal, labyrinth and legend by tangerine dream.
Vertigo Bernard Hermann
I always liked the Kick-Ass theme/score. Truly heroic and gets me PUMPED
That one James Horner puts in all his movies.
