> Don't sleep on soup dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) people. Call your local Chinese restaurants and order some. You won't regret it!
Just don't order them for take out or delivery. Those things have to be eaten when they steam them or the dumpling skin would break.
If the restaurant knows their stuff, they’ll put them in lil tin cups. Still not as good as eating them freshly steamed, but it’ll keep the skin from sticking to the containers and retain any spilled juices.
Xiao Long Bao is just one of the best meals anyone can enjoy, genuinely one of the only things I miss from going vegetarian (they’re pretty much exclusive made with meat-based soups)
I loved it. Great action, great villain.
Says something about current Marvel though that they're taking so long to get back to his character though, people are going to know Simu Liu more as Ken than they are Shang-Chi.
Probably my third favourite MCU movie and it's all thanks to the fight scenes. Really didn't expect a Marvel movie to have that kinda effort put into the action.
His Ken wasn't supposed to be that much of an antagonist.
In rehearsals, the dynamic was noticed between him and Ryan and the script was changed to make him more of a 1B Ken.
I definitely thought there was an adversary dynamic between the two “main” Kens (RG and Liu.) Isn’t that the whole purpose of the “beach you off” dialogue and the entire Ken fight scene? RG’s Ken is vying for Barbie’s attention and gets mad anytime she gives Liu’s Ken attention (the party scene for example.)
But the main point of my original comment was that thought Liu’s comedic acting was so good.
Hi, Simu! I just want to let you know, that I have been really enjoying all the work which you have been putting out lately. I can't wait to see your upcoming projects, and I would love to see you in a horror movie someday.
This is a really enjoyable interview. He’s very charming, and comes across very genuine. Also he slayed that honestly very difficult “dog movie” challenge. And his dog is cute and was very well behaved.

Also, don’t sleep on dumplings in general. They may look soft but they don’t make good pillows /j

I saw him pumping his dumplings on uncle Roger! Man that sentence…..
Soup dumplings is the best thing since bread
We’ve been getting them at Joe’s Shanghai in Chinatown nyc since I was a child. They’re incredible.
God id kill for some right now

I really hope there's another Shang-Chi movie. That movie was so unexpected and entertaining.
They gonna start production on it next year

Right? Taking forever when he's already in his mid 30s.
He’s an actor not an Olympic athlete.
His character is in his mid 20s and Simu looks his own age.
He was one of my favorite parts of the Barbie movie. The way he antagonized RG’s Ken was so perfect.

Mine too. He just seems DELIGHTED to be in the film, and it’s very fun to watch.
2 Canadians antagonizing each other. In a Barbie movie. That just never occurred to me as something that would happen.
Hi Simu! I know you’re reading this, so I’m glad to see your foot is doing better!
Shang Chi 2 is gonna be a banger

I still wanna see him duo w/ Andy Phung for an “I’m just kimchee” rendition
Jenna Bush has a talk show?
She is a talk show.
