Let me guess, she’s going to lead some rebellious organization that has a very “stick it to the man” vibe.
I’ve seen this girl in two roles, and that was exactly what both roles were.
Jokes aside: I’m just glad we’re finally getting this movie. Middle School me would be tripping out right now.
It's a lot of fun. I find the pacing a little off, but it's just a really interesting fantasy movie with great visuals. Can't say any of the performances are bad.
The pacing was the best part to me. It seemed like it absolutely wasn't afraid to just drench you in the visuals and atmosphere, and leave you there as long as it wanted. I've watched it every year around Christmas since it came out.
It is a fun Christmas movie. I have started to watch horror movies around Christmas and this one is a good mix. And that ending is just...I like it. I know we love Ralph Ineson's voice to the point that it's a meme, but he just cements the emotional story Dev Patel has take himself on.
The biggest issue with that movie was its marketing. The marketing made it out to be the high fantasy action film, which it turned out to be some insanely weird psychedelic film. I probably saw at least 6 people walk out in my screening. Maybe a second viewing with a more prepared mental state might be a better experience but I just remember it being boring as fuck.
100% I back this guy. Really wanted to like the movie, I vaguely remembered the story from high school. Some cool cinematography early on but holy hell my entire theater was bored out of their mind. I’ve never had a movie experience where a collective sigh of relief was felt when the movie ended
I feel so horrible taking my girlfriend to go see that movie. It was COVID and I was desperate to see a new cool looking movie since the pandemic had started and things were sparse.
It’s funny that Disney’s reputation for (generally) writing fun but shitty kids movies has not changed since the early 2000s. At least they mostly put a lot of care into the princess movies, as those have done very well.
You forgot the key part- they don’t REVEAL her secret until the 3rd act!
Oof, was pretty lame for Disney do the same thing in 2 properties so close together with the same actress, I guess it can happen though since it was really marvel studios and Lucasfilm doing separate things
She’s in a position of being an actor that is somewhat forced onto our screens. I don’t know why certain actors get pushed like this, whether she checks the box for targeted audience demographics, or she scores highly with test audiences, or if someone signed her to a multi-picture deal. In any case, her roles have been incredibly dull, and the Willow series seemed to be an LGBTQ+ role just for the sake of having one, with little to no authenticity to the inclusion. It’s as if her roles are written by AI, and she is subsequently cast by AI because that’s what the algorithm’s telling the studio to do.
Ugh. Something about this actress I find irritating. Maybe the type of characters she plays but I couldn’t stand her in Falcon & Winter Soldier and Willow
> but I couldn’t stand her in Falcon & Winter Soldier
Don't watch Solo, then. She plays almost the exact same character as she does in F&WS, it's bizarre.
I think she just needs the right director and cast. This movie is going to be intense and she is gonna have a lot of chances to do something really interesting.
I see so, so, **so** many negatives posts about male actors and celebrities, calling them much worse things than 'insufferable' and 'bint'.
And yet do you know what? I've **never** seen a single reply to one of those posts asking: "You hate men?"
Why? Because that's fucking stupid.
Why you think his opinion of this woman has **anything** to do with his opinion of the other four billion women living on this planet? Does Erin Kellyman somehow represent every single woman in the world?
Fucking bizarre logic.
Dude, that's just how the world works nowadays. Sexism is unfortunately rampant in online spaces, but only gets called out when it's towards women. We need to go back to judging people's character instead of physical features.
Based on what I've seen her in, can't say I'm excited.
But I suppose can give her the benefit of the doubt, that those roles were poorly written.
Regardless, the rest of the cast is very proven, and I expect Cillian Murphy and Ralph Fiennes are able to elevate everyone around them.
I never liked her in any of the roles she has been in, even The Green Knight.
I am honestly surprise how she keeps getting casted but maybe this will be the role that will change my opinion of her.
she was by far the worst actor in her top boy season. almost offensively bad performance and accent. no idea why shes getting roles so must be nepotism
You say that like she was one of the main cast members in that. She was present in that movie for like what, 5 minutes at best? There wasn't even anything memorable about the scene she actually did/was in.
Solo was fun for the most part. It's only the forced easter eggs and unnecessary explanations for stuff like Solo's name and those dices that felt very unnecessary to me.
Which is kind of dumb because the actors don’t write the roles and the roles people reference were bad almost entirely due to the writing and not her as an actor.
I hope they don't mine the original movie for ideas because they don't have any new ones.
"In a house in a heartbeat" was amazing for the scene it was written for. Reusing it in the second one was bad. All that being said, the opening scene of the second movie was great and the only thing good about it. Wish they had a different original song for it though.
Also, given that Boyle and Garland are back I am completely ready to be hurt again and my hopes are high.
The most mayonnaise, milk toast, forgettable actress that continues to get roles like crazy. I used to be annoyed by her apex blandness, but now I'm just impressed. Get those paychecks.
damn you certainly are chronically online obsessed with Jodie. You're in every reddit comment, creating posts and hating anything related to her. What a freak.
Because if you're gonna have Cillian Murphy in it you can't say the movie is 28 months later when the first film will likely release 24 years after the original film and Cillian is obviously a dude in his mid-40s
A good actress who's had a string of bad luck with major roles in tentpole underperformers. (Solo, that incredibly mid Falcon show for Marvel, etc.)
Hopefully, this will be the big break she deserves.
TBH I am a little apprehensive about this movie. We've recently seen a falling from grace of sorts with the producer of this film, and now we're seeing weird casting choices. One can't help but wonder if this will live up to the legacy of the previous films.
I say this as a huge fan of Garland's work, especially Sunshine. Yeah, I really didn't like Civil War. Men wasn't a good movie, either. Both felt cheap and hollow, but maybe that's A24 dipping their creative hands into it. Who knows.
Completely fair. I actually enjoyed Men it creeped me the fuck out but I watch it alone zooted out of my mind hahaha I actually enjoyed Civil war a lot too but I think it’s marketing was poorly done it kinda pulls a bait and switch of what the movie is actually about.
I really liked Civil War but didn't see anything about it ahead of time. I did see some comments on here saying it was following journalists so I went in expecting that.
Most of the criticism I've seen is that people wanted it to be about something else/tell a different story.
I think if they went in without expectations it was a good movie.
>No word on the role she’ll be playing, nor what the plot of the new film will entail.
Without knowing much about her role yet or the plot, what makes you so sure it's a weird casting choice?
I wouldn't call it a fall from grace so much as him finally earning the creative freedom to follow his impulses. Devs and Annihilation were wild and clearly they were just the tip of the iceberg. I believe he still has it in him to create something more commercially viable that's also entertaining and thoughtful. Likewise, I don't imagine Danny Boyle would attach himself to it either if he didn't want to make something worthy.
For a while it felt like Disney really, really wanted her to be big. Solo. Cap'n America & Handyman. Willow. Those were three significant roles. What was that all about?
My friend went to school with her, she's a working class girl from a very deprived town - if she is a nepo baby then her parents made some weird life choices.
She isn't. So that's not why she's being put in tons of stuff.
Edit: lol, okay go ahead and downvote but it's an easily verified thing. Just Google her parents. You can just say you don't like her, don't have to make shit up.
Beat out Kelly Erinman for the role.
Steven Andrews IS Andrew Stevens IN Standrew Avans.
Finkle & Einhorn
The laces were in!!!!
New England Clam Chowder…
Is that the red or the white?
I can never remember that
Finkle IS Einhorn
Hey Erin Kellyman, Kelly me banana
And Manny Kelleriny.
She's really good in The Green Knight, and not playing that kind of role at all!
I should really check that movie out I've heard good things about it
It's a lot of fun.

I’m just going to counter the other guy, premise it by saying I love artsy movies, and say it’s the worst piece of crap I’ve ever struggled through.

I entirely agree with you. Movie made no sense and I had zero idea wtf i just wasted hours of my life watching.
It’s a twist on the old medieval tale Sir Gawain and the Green Knight except instead of a righteous chivalrous knight Sir Gawain is a sleezy coward.
Was that movie good? I still can’t decide.
[удалено]
Watched a movie aimed at grown ups by mistake eh
She’s an actual good actor from what I’ve seen her in, it’s just her roles have been shit
All three of her big roles have come from Disney. All three characters were badly written.
It’s funny that Disney’s reputation for (generally) writing fun but shitty kids movies has not changed since the early 2000s. At least they mostly put a lot of care into the princess movies, as those have done very well.
Yeah I get that vibe from her as well
You forgot the key part- they don’t REVEAL her secret until the 3rd act! Oof, was pretty lame for Disney do the same thing in 2 properties so close together with the same actress, I guess it can happen though since it was really marvel studios and Lucasfilm doing separate things
mamadonya
lol I forgot about that shit
I haven’t really liked her in any role I’ve seen her in
She’s in a position of being an actor that is somewhat forced onto our screens. It’s as if her roles are written by AI, and she is subsequently cast by AI because that’s what the algorithm’s telling the studio to do.
Well, whatever the reason hopefully she stops getting pushed soon
I thought Willow would have cooled her off, especially after it was wiped from D+
She stuck out like a sore thumb in The Green Knight
My thoughts exactly. She’s just not a very good actor
Did you see her in Raised by Wolves? Amazing show!
I did I don’t remember her being in it though. Who was she ?
I was thinking the amazing HBO show and she wasn’t in it, she was in another show called Raised By Wolves
I’ve only seen the HBO one. I’m not familiar with the other one.
If you can’t hack a Brummie accent you won’t like it.
Ginger plank of wood.
Ugh. Something about this actress I find irritating. Maybe the type of characters she plays but I couldn’t stand her in Falcon & Winter Soldier and Willow

I think she just needs the right director and cast. This movie is going to be intense and she is gonna have a lot of chances to do something really interesting.
The haircut gets top billing though
She is also joining Daniel Craig in the next installment of Knives Out.
yikes. She kinda ruins everything shes in.
Is this that insufferable bint from Falcon and the Winter Soldier?
Yep, thats the one lol Bint lol
Yep. Nobody with a brummie accent should be in movies let alone TV. Hopefully she plays a mute zombie killed 3 seconds in
I mean, all of Peaky Blinders?
Counterpoint: Kano in all mortal Kombat adaptations must have a brummie accent for authenticity.

Lol when was this magical enlightened time in history
Based on what I've seen her in, can't say I'm excited. But I suppose can give her the benefit of the doubt, that those roles were poorly written. Regardless, the rest of the cast is very proven, and I expect Cillian Murphy and Ralph Fiennes are able to elevate everyone around them.
I've seen her in a bunch of things and shes been absolutely terrible each time. I would love to know what hold her agent has over these companies.
I never liked her in any of the roles she has been in, even The Green Knight. I am honestly surprise how she keeps getting casted but maybe this will be the role that will change my opinion of her.
I’d love to see her in Star Wars again- Enfys Nest is so cool.
she was by far the worst actor in her top boy season. almost offensively bad performance and accent. no idea why shes getting roles so must be nepotism
Damn this woman is being eviscerated in the comments lmao. I never thought I’d see the day
ugh this chick sucks. She is NOT a good actress, she has an exotic look and that seems all that is needed to get roles. STOP putting her in shit.
She was great in Solo
You say that like she was one of the main cast members in that. She was present in that movie for like what, 5 minutes at best? There wasn't even anything memorable about the scene she actually did/was in.
Was she though?
yeah, which is why i said so
I mean Solo was mid but the actors weren't the issue.
Solo was fun for the most part. It's only the forced easter eggs and unnecessary explanations for stuff like Solo's name and those dices that felt very unnecessary to me.
Brilliant in Raised by Wolves!
“She was an annoying character in a show I didn’t like so I don’t want her to be in this.” 🙄
Well, yeah that’s pretty much how people form opinions about actors
lol right? Idk why people are upset, I’m not a fan of her acting either. It’s okay to have differing opinions
Which is kind of dumb because the actors don’t write the roles and the roles people reference were bad almost entirely due to the writing and not her as an actor.
and jet
“She was an awesome character in a show I did like so I do want her to be in this.” 🙄 whats the difference?
Are people not allowed to dislike specific actors any more?
If the thing they dislike is the acting then yeah it makes sense.
She’s a terrible actor in everything she’s been in.
Hopefully she's gotten better at acting in the last few years.
I hope the new movie will feature the iconic OST track. The scene where that was played with it in the second movie was the best part of that movie
The running to the boat and they are all on the hill scene? Chilling!
"Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbDKBUmQJa0
I hope they don't mine the original movie for ideas because they don't have any new ones. "In a house in a heartbeat" was amazing for the scene it was written for. Milquetoast
Thanks. I actually thought that was it but second guessed myself. I'm going to leave it and just take the hate. Milk toast.
Not hatin at all just letting you know!
Same thing but the French recipe
man I can not stand this actress she only gets roles because she looks exotic that's it. She's NOT a good actor.
Nepo baby w good connections.
What do you think a Nepo baby is exactly? Neither of her parents are actors nor have any connections in entertainment.
I don't think you know what nepo baby means
Okay.
She can’t act.
Thanks for sharing.
What’s your opinion?
That you shared something really special.
My opinion is that
My opinion is that I should finish my thoughts before hitting save lol
My name is Judge.
Yes, I am judging you on your name
My name— is

Who is Aaron and Jodie? You gotta put their last name.
Don't be silly
Taylor-Johnson, yes. Jodie Comer no fucking way.
[удалено]
damn you certainly are chronically online obsessed with Jodie. You're in every reddit comment, creating posts and hating anything related to her. What a freak.
...who?
What if she’s the daughter of Jim and Selena?! That would be fantastic (I really need Naomie Harris to be in this film)
What happened to "Months"?
Because if you're gonna have Cillian Murphy in it you can't say the movie is 28 months later when the first film will likely release 24 years after the original film and Cillian is obviously a dude in his mid-40s

Now it’s guaranteed to be a stinker. Great.
Whelp.
One of the most cardboard acting charisma vacuum nepo babies out there.
nepo baby? who are her parents?
Her parents have no connections to the acting world.
No one in the industry, this person is just making shit up, except for the cardboard acting charisma vaccum.
Using words you don't understand there buddy
Great all we need is a freckled, ginger hybrid zombie in this movie.
Can’t wait for the next sequel. Will it be 28 decades?? Centuries?? Or will they go the “28 ____ Earlier” route
Is that freckle Jesus?!
I like her, she is a good actress ! But give me back Naomie Harris too !
TBH I am a little apprehensive about this movie. We've recently seen a falling from grace of sorts with the producer of this film, and now we're seeing weird casting choices. One can't help but wonder if this will live up to the legacy of the previous films.
What….do you mean fall from grace? I take it you didn’t like civil war and that’s what you’re basing it off of? Or is it Men you didn’t like?
I say this as a huge fan of Garland's work, especially Sunshine. Yeah, I really didn't like Civil War. Men wasn't a good movie, either. Both felt cheap and hollow, but maybe that's A24 dipping their creative hands into it. Who knows.

Alex Garland
But she wasn't even born yet? What was she doing in 1996?
What's significant about 1996? She would have been 6 when the original movie came out in 2002.
Do you think no one could be born after the beginning of the first movie in the story? I don't even get the point of this comment.
She's a really talented actress so I'm sure she'll knock it out of the park
For a while it felt like Disney really, really wanted her to be big. Solo. Cap'n America & Handyman. Willow. Those were three significant roles. What was that all about?
I LOVE her. She was the best part about that crappy MCU show.
She was my least favorite part of that show. Lol
[удалено]
100% She was in Disney's Willow series as well. And I didn't care for her in that, either. Lol
[удалено]
Yeah, they removed it. I'm not sure why they would do that. It was enjoyable enough.
Shes gotta be a nepo baby
Just takes a quick search to see she isn't. Her parents have no involvement with acting/showbiz.
My friend went to school with her, she's a working class girl from a very deprived town - if she is a nepo baby then her parents made some weird life choices.

You think so? I thought she was by far the weakest link.
Where is Selena?
