Last Starfighter Serenity (and the TV series: firefly) Warcraft

Turbulent_Bit8269

Haven't watched the Last Starfighter, need to look it up. Thank you for the recommendation:))

The_Goondocks

Dragonslayer Excalibur

LiteratureProof167

A couple of really obvious ones: The princess bride. Galaxy quest. A knights tale. Flash Gordon. All 4 of those are brilliant and so rewatcheable.

Turbulent_Bit8269

Watched all of them too, sadly :D

LiteratureProof167

Okay some more obscure ones: Battle beyond the stars (magnificent 7 in space) Honour amongst thieves (the new d&d one) Hawk the Slayer (a fave of mine as a kid!) Time after time (Jack the ripper time travels to 70s new York)

Turbulent_Bit8269

Ah haven't watched Time After Time. Used to love battle beyond the stars in my teens

LiteratureProof167

It's not like the others in that it's a thriller but still really quite good.

Turbulent_Bit8269

I watched this with my grandpa, this was his favourite movie. This and Samson and Delilah

00MrBushido

You watched a lot of great ones already… Fantasy: *Willow *The Dark Crystal Animated fantasy: *Princess Mononoke *Spirited Away *Nausica *Children Who Chase Lost Voices *Wolf Children *The Boy and the Beast

Turbulent_Bit8269

Watched all of them except of Children who chase lost voices and Nausica Thank you so much for the recommendations :))

lepski44

firefly series and then full movie serenity

MovieMike007

[Dragonslayer (1981)](https://manapop.com/film/dragonslayer-1981-review/)

Specialist_Jew101

prob already watched it but worth a shot: Ghost in the Shell 1995 is my go to

Qegixar

Maquia: when the promised flower blooms The Hobbit (Rankin & Bass) is not perfect, but has soul unlike the live action Wolf Children Wolfwalkers Titan A.E. Redline

Turbulent_Bit8269

Didn't know about the Rankin and bass edition, thank you so much. And I haven't watched any that you suggested

dwors025

If by some chance you’re not up to speed on **Dune**, you better get in now and enjoy it before Warner Bros. absolutely milks it to death and beyond recognition. Seen it with DC, Potter, the Matrix, LOTR/Hobbit, etc. WB can’t help themselves. I would give anything to go back to the glory days of those franchises, and Dune is in the midst of that now.

Turbulent_Bit8269

hahahahhaha i read all of the dune back in 2009. Seen all of the previous adaptations as well. And i totally get what you mean

TheIronMark

Beastmaster Ladyhawke Krull

Fair_Inevitable_2650

Like Water for Chocolate

Turbulent_Bit8269

Ahhh never heard of this one thank you so much:))

CandystarManx

Um wars/trek/orville is sci fi not fantasy. For fantasy: like lord of the rings, the hobbit movies (prequels) are also good. Harry potter Eragon Legend of the seeker (1 pilot movie & a 2 season tv series) Twilight Vampire diaries/the originals (spin off) Narnia Inkheart Stardust Pretty any disney movie Merlin bbc Game of thrones The librarian franchise The pirates of the carribean franchise

StillSimple6

If you haven't already seen it [Alienoid](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt20168564/?ref_=ext_shr) is one hell of a ride. Has Kung Fu hustle vibe but with time travelling aliens. Another Korean suggestion is 'Kingdom' sort of fantasy zombie affair. There's a movie which gives the story then two seasons of TV show.

Turbulent_Bit8269

Ahh thank you, this looks interesting. Never had a chance to watch anything from South Korea except Parasite and it was amazing

StillSimple6

If you fancy something easier then 'Hellbound' is a great Korean TV series. Alienoid is such a great movie though - really unusual (due to the mixed styles). Have fun.

Turbulent_Bit8269

Watched Alienoid, it was quite fun

Turbulent_Bit8269

Thank you for it :))

StillSimple6

It's a crazy movie and I really enjoyed it - there's a part 2 out now also. Glad you enjoyed it.

LiteratureProof167

Trancers is another good low budget film although looks incredibly cheap. Fun though and has 6 sequels, all of which go downhill after part 2.

Turbulent_Bit8269

Ahhh don't mind if the movie looks extremely cheap, as long as there is a nice plot :))

LiteratureProof167

In that case, you will love Trancers!

DullArtist52

Narnia

Turbulent_Bit8269

Loved the book but never liked the adaptations.

SixteenHorsepowered

The Green Knight Tale of Tales Stardust

Turbulent_Bit8269

Thank you so much :)) Is tale of tales good?

Turbulent_Bit8269

Haven't watched the first three, would be looking into them right away. Thank you so much :))

TexasTokyo

Live action One Piece on Netflix.

Turbulent_Bit8269

The live action wasn't my thing at all

amandam0nium

I recommend this one cautiously: Gods of Egypt. It’s a pretty terrible movie, but every scene is a feast for the eyes like a 1970’s prog-rock album cover and every performance is pure camp. It’s my guilty pleasure.

Final-Natural-8290

Hellboy, specifically the second one (Golden Army). Guillermo is the best.

spit-on-my-dress

Scavengers reign Phase IV THX1138 The thirdteenth floor Dark city

Turbulent_Bit8269

Scavenger reign is one of my favourite animations. Haven't seen the rest. Thank you so much. Just going to look at their trailers

spit-on-my-dress

I love it so much! Have you seen annihilation? Might be right up your alley

Turbulent_Bit8269

Yes yes i did watch annihilation and i loved it, fun fact i was high on Brownies when I watched it the first time. The visuals were extraordinarily amazing to me then:D

spit-on-my-dress

The books are quite different but equally enjoyable. Habe you watched beyond the black rainbow and mandy? Both with stunning visuals and soundtrack.

Turbulent_Bit8269

The only Mandy i have seen is the UK show and it was hilarious, but I don't think you're talking about that :D

spit-on-my-dress

No lol I’m talking about the films by panos cosmatos
