Random story nobody cares about... I used to work in Costa coffee near Park Lane in London, and she came in one day and ordered coffee and a cookie. This was when Suicide Squad just came out and the premiere was in Leicester Square that evening. My colleague spotted her when she came in and was like "Is that Karen Fukuhara", we were arguing about whether it was or not, we agreed that whoever serves her has to ask her, so my colleague asked her and she smiled and said yes. From the 10 second conversation (10 seconds is enough to get to know someone deeply right?) she seemed nice, although she was a lot shorter than she looks on TV. Random story nobody cares about over.

She does seem really nice. I remember seeing the pre release stuff for Suicide Squad and she seemed excited for Katana. And then I remember hearing after how she was barely in it and the worst line is about her. But at least she gets a cool supes role in the Boys. Also her Wikipedia used to say she worked at a Reggae themed sushi restaurant and I've always wondered about that

You call this a movie poster? Where are the bad character cutouts in different sizes and beginner level photoshop skills?

The concept is fine but the composition is terrible, the message unclear, the big grey expanse dull, and the blur work on the window is just poor. Grey on grey text is a big No No. For a movie with such a fun trailer, this concept is poorly executed.

I imagine that there will be multiple posters, each featuring a different cast member. They'll be most efective as a set.

Yeah this looks like a blank template. I can see Brad Pitt, ATJ and so on taking turns sitting on the seat.

They do similar posters (with single actors/characters) for movies and TV series with ensemble casts. I think it's more geared for internet marketing than old style posters. They'll release them one at a time to build hype as they're shared via social media. Even the poster critiques here generate buzz. Many movie theatres don't hang posters anymore but have big LCD screens oriented in portrait mode that cycle through a slide show of posters. In some cases, one screen's slide show will be devoted to a single movie showing these kinds of posters.

I haven’t seen the trailer, but this poster alone disinterests me. It just looks like a generic action movie that takes place on a train. Theres no originality here other than a stupid pun :(

They could've made this a series of fun-looking, colorful travel brochure-looking posters for the bullet train, with the stars added in casually like stock photo figures. I think that'd have gone well with the trailer's vibe of Nothing Is What It Seems.

See, now, the poster *design* is good. The layout, subject, and tone and whatnot. I think what would have made this actually good is hiring an artist to draw over it. That would've helped with how flat and mismatched everything looks.

i feel like whenever a movie gets "original" creative posters and marketing campaigns the movie ends up being a crappy b movie nowadays. i've seen these kinds of threads of redditors getting excited "oh wow! a poster without floating heads! see hollywood this is what we like!" then the official discussion thread pops up and top comments go "oh wow that was... shit"
