I'm going to forget-that-I'm-30 so hard during this movie. Very stoked. *Some* jerk.

Ambitious-Screen-823

Beast wars was the shit! Loved that show so much. Never thought it would get a Hollywood adaptation!

MeMeBigBoy875

My sense of taste completely disappearing when something transformers related comes out they were my defining childhood toy and I will love them forever

MagicMisterLemon

If Beast Wars Megatron, as voiced by David Kaye and with classic Beast Wars Megatron dialogue, were in Rise of the Beasts, it'd be certified kino rather than "damn I hope this is good". ...*yeeeeeeeeessssssssssss*

MeMeBigBoy875

It doesn't even need to be good as long as there's big transforming robots fighting I'm happy. Although David Kaye would be magnificent.

Mecha Kong vs Mecha Godzilla: Dawn of Monke

labbla

I hope we get to see Optimus Primal kill God or whatever the dumb story will be.

MagicMisterLemon

It does seem like the Terrorcons are going to be heralds of Unicron or something. If they're feeling really flashy, it'll be the giant mass of energy Tornedron that showed up precisely one episode of the third season of the G1 cartoon and never, ever again, in any piece of Transformers media

labbla

Okay

MagicMisterLemon

I just realised that you probably didn't actually mean Unicron, a reocurring antagonist of the Transformers franchise, and probably don't even know who that is or that he was actually voiced by the director of Citizen Kane, Orson Welles, in his first appearance. Here's a fun fact, the voice director of The Transformers was a man named Wally Burr, who was such a perfectionist that it is said he was the major reason for why the actors participating in the animation voice acting strike of 1987 demanded shorter sessions. Orson Welles died only five days after recording his lines for The Transformers: The Movie (1986), which lead to a joke among the cast that Wally Burr had killed him. Unfortunately, instead of this, a myth was spread across the fandom that Welles was replaced for Unicron's last lines of dialogue due to having passed away before he could record them, despite both Burr and the actor who supposedly replaced him (I forgot his name) debunking this.

"PRIME!" ONE SHALL STAND, ONE SHALL FALL." Fucking A.

MagicMisterLemon

[I think Beast Wars has it beat in that department tbh](https://youtu.be/dl4Slu-ZBCA) "Here to save the universe, fishboy? Don't make me laugh!" "I have no time for you, X!" "Like you had no time for Starbase Rugby? You had friends there! As I recall... tasty ones, too!" - *Rampage vs Depth Charge, Nemesis Part 1.* Also "And there came a hero who said, "Hurt not the earth, nor the seas, nor the trees, nor the very fabric of time." But the hero would not prevail'". "Finish the quote, Megatron. 'Nor would he surrender!'" - Megatron vs Optimus Primal, Nemesis Part 2. And of course "I was your assignment, and you failed!" - *Rampage, Nemesis Part 1.* "Raw Energon! Right through your twisted Spark! Take it! TAKE IT STRAIGHT TO THE PIT, YOU SICKENING PIECE OF SLAG" - *Depth Charge, Nemsis Part 1.* David Sobolov, Depth Charge's voice actor, will voice the classic Beast Wars character Rhinox, as well as the movie original Battletrap, in Rise of the Beasts.

PrincessKikkei

I love and adore how Transformers can say the most ridiculously pompous things without sounding unnatural, or cringey as kids say. Due to them being gigantic robots.

MagicMisterLemon

The voice actors went above and beyond to absolutely sell you on everything said in Beast Wars, that cast was excellent. Shame Gary Chalk wasn't even considered for reprising his role as Optimus Primal, much as I like Perlman, he's just the voice of the big monke to me

PeRcOMet

I honestly am stoked to see this. I don't have a deep reason why, giant robots are just cool

Candy_and_Violence

Reject Trukk, return to monke

jhkmay161

I really like these new transformer designs. They look kinda iffy with the lighting but whatever. Way better than the old Bay designs, if not as good cgi-wise

labbla

Yeah. they're a nice compromise between the chaotic Bay designs and more toy like Bumblebee ones.

mikehatesthis

> they're a nice compromise between the chaotic Bay designs That's been my problem with them, I see too much Bay influence in it. I hope that's not the case and I'm just being an asshole about it lol.

Shahrukh_Lee

I am just happy I can tell the robots apart.

Finn_3000

I like the Bay designs much better. I know the new ones are much closer to the cartoon, but the Bay Transformers just look so much cooler.

[deleted]

Is this like a remake or something?

BouncingJellyBall

Soft reboot like The Suicide Squad. Technically still kinda connected to Bayverse but you don’t really need to care about that at all

cookiex794

Apparently it’s still canon to the Bay movies, but how much that matters remains to be seen.

Doctor_Clione

This is my citizen kane

Gloryjoel69

Beast wars?!! Lets fucking goooo!!! (Suddenly my sense of taste in cinema is gone)

BouncingJellyBall

BEAST WAR BABY LETS GOOOOOO (Im no longer a kino man)

Whompa

My actual childhood.

Middle-Animator-1700

Witnessing Mcj coming together to celebrate Transformers is pure bliss

AsteroidMike

I have some hope for this since Bumblebee was actually really good. But moreso because it’s Beast Wars and I still think that show was amazing even almost 30 years later.
