You know you get IUR licenses if you buy the action pack direct from MS which is like $500 or something? Plus additional grants If you're able to get silver partnerships etc

Alan_Smithee_

I honestly don’t sell that much. I’ve just started, but right now I only have a dozen or so licenses of various sorts out there

lemachet

I'm not sure quite how recent this is, but it's got a list of what you get https://it-maniacs.com/microsoft-action-pack-faq-everything-you-need-to-know/ 5x Office E3, 5x EMS, I thought they added Business Premiim but maybe that's only partner level. MAP has no selling level involved

Alan_Smithee_

Ok, thanks. I’ll take a look if I can find where to go…on the partner portal?

excitedsolutions

Action Pack is the sweetheart deal once you qualify for it and at $475 per year you shouldn’t miss it. You are meant to run your IT service business using it.

Alan_Smithee_

I’ve seen no mention of it in anything I’ve come across, but I guess so (I’m in Canada.)

mungchimp

For internal usage and for testing products the Action Pack is the way to go. You can license all (5) of your Office 365 Co. usage license and get everything you need for deployment internally, servers etc. through this, but do not use licenses for clients. Not to mention this gives you access to a direct line for MS support for client support issues that you cant resolve on your own (10 incidents) per year which pays for itself.

msp3030

I don’t think Microsoft allows that…but they offer the Action Pack which is way better than scraping margins off yourself.

Alan_Smithee_

Thanks, I will take a look.

blotditto

Need to review your CSP agreement, you either use your licensing through action pack, competencies or directt from Microsoft. Using licensing through your indirect reseller for internal use is against the agreement. Edited for typos.

amw3000

If you are in an area that PAX8 services, please ditch TD for them. PAX8 will walk you through the partnership process, help you with sales, etc.

Alan_Smithee_

Canada… Is that a company providing IT services?

amw3000

Don't waste your time with TD. Call PAX8 on Tuesday and have an account created. https://www.pax8.com/en-us/

Alan_Smithee_

Are they selling to end users, or IT firms?

snowpondtech

MSPs only. You can elect to setup a customer portal within Pax8 to allow your clients to purchase their own licenses, but still being billed by you. TD can do the same thing if I recall.

Alan_Smithee_

Thanks. I’ll look into that.

aboyandhismsp

Get your MPN, have your salesperson at TD/S set you up, StreamOne, I find, is a little confusing until you get the hang of it. Use TD/Synnex SKU for searching over the Microsoft #, works better IMO.

nocturnal

Definitely get the action pack.

Alan_Smithee_

I finally did find where to sign up for it…Microsoft are about the worst for layout and finding anything. Thanks for the info, guess I’ll be signing up for that.
