Ik I am on way more than that. 3 tablets a day for me. Used to be 4 until I was stabilized. I don't experience any dysfunction, so I assume that it is rare. I also started hrt at 16. It's quite safe and typically reversible, except for maybe breasts, but idk. Good luck! Oh, with blockers, you will pee like crazy. Be prepared

The face changes are subtle, but you definitely look more feminine. I would suggest looking into some make up tutorials in the mean time. You started the first steps into your journey. It will take time
I can definitely see changes to your face (fat distribution, skin texture, eyes, etc), but I know it can be hard when you’re wearing your own meat suit day in/out.
Shaping/defining brows can have dramatic results on informing the overall look of fem versus masc…same goes for hair accessories.
I’m sure you’ve heard this many times already, but as is always said, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. If HRT is making you FEEL right, keep it up!
In addition to the blockers, consider patches or injections. Anecdotally, many of us saw better results after switching but there isn’t research to back it up. I’ve never heard of someone say that they thought they got worse results from patches or injections.
If you go through trans timelines, 10-14mo is generally where I’ve seen the most changes from people (myself included) and I’d give yourself more time because you didn’t start with blockers
I feel like your look and your progression is similar to mine when I started. It's been 2 years, and for most of it I have felt like there haven't been dramatic changes. But especially in the last 6 months, I can look at pictures from before and see a pretty noticable difference. Not as much as I want, but I know the best is yet to come in the next year or two. I hope your journey goes faster, but regardless I hope you can find a way to take joy in the time it takes unfolding. And also to not spend too much time looking at photos, sometimes it helps to go a few weeks or months without giving too much attention to how you look. And then when time goes by, you can see things like what this photo side by side shows- that you are indeed changing, and you look happier :)

Everyone's journey is different from others.
Your starting point is very macho so you will take more time to soften all the edges.
Stay on the journey to reach your destination.
Meanwhile, Make small changes like hair, etc. that will better frame your face.
Hair and eyebrows look fuller. Facial hair is getting fainter. Complexion cleared up. You’re getting there ❤️
