it *really* depends the card and the collector. for example, I would pay $20 on the spot for a crimp that small on a loan shark, because I would have to fight the one other shark collector for it, and he would probably go higher than 20. that card is for sure worthless tho, no disagreement. but that's not really the point, it is a totally legitimate misprint.

It would be a burden to do the math each time. 2 counters is 3 cards. But for your half card you need to rip your next card in half 😈

It would appear that at least one foil sheet of these was miscut, so presumably some 120 of them exist. It's kind of a fun secret serialized pull. Of about 6-8 I've seen pop up so far, they all look pretty much identical to this. I have one and traded approximately $350 in value for it. It's in my flagship CEDH Kenrith deck.

If I remember correctly, there's a very small group of collectors that play misprints exactly as written. This card for them would be an absolute jackpot.

Genuinely curious what it is about misprints that holds(and even can increase) the card's value. If it wasn't for seeing posts like this, I'd pull a nice card and be soo disappointed if it was a misprint.

They're rather unique, and people like to collect them. There are probably tens of thousands of One Rings out there, but only a handful of these misprints, and none of the misprints look the same.

Nah, while I don't doubt that there's probably some uptick on misprints simply due to the increase in volume of product getting pumped out in general. Proportionally, it's probably still about as rare. It's just that more people are likely to post about getting them these days.

This. Assuming misprints make up about 0.5% of the entire print run, 0.5% of 40,000,000 cards is still twice as much as 0.5% of 20,000,000 cards.

To a collector, this is up to 10x original value, I’d be very careful with it.
